This was supossed to be a 5 star hotel however the staff were poor, unhelpful and behaved as if this was a 2 star. Also the carpets in the room had stains, safe that did not work or repalced dispite reporting it and patio doors you could not lock. Langauage was not an issue as I spoke spanish and staff lacked enthusiasim and interest. Lastly, location was not ideal for shops, restaurant or beach as it was at least a 20 min walk to either

The trip was partly business and partly pleasure. The room was first class and all the staff very friendly. A big plus for the hotel is the theatre where we had a good dinner and watched a spectacular flamenco show.

Right on the edge of the sea, great view from room but hotel is a bit dated. Our room was a great size for 2 adults and 2 children. The breakfasts were superb each morning. Our room needed a thorough clean ie. walls, skirts, curtains, etc. Concierge very helpful. Spa offers many treatments but a bit overpriced for the service provided. Pools are lovely, along with the gardens. Very difficult to get drinks outside whilst sunbathing ie. lack of staff and conflicting information. We stayed for 4 days, and out of season. The hotel was very accomodating with organising a late check out till 8pm.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to accomodate guest requests. The hotel seems to draw families and it is a good bargain for those with many traveling with them. The breakfast buffet and weekly barbecue are good values with ample food, well-prepared and worth the price (breakfast buffet for most is included). The general decor is a little dated and the rooms could use an update/facelift. There were no showercurtains in the bathrooms and the small handful of tv programs are mostly Spanish, German or French...only a few English channels. Extras are pricey. They charge 12 Euros/day for wifi which about $16/day and overpriced. Parking is 10 Euros/day at the self service lot. The two outdoor pools are small to average in size and often crowded with young children. The indoor pool has some great water massage spouts and a great view of the ocean. The beach was rocky/sandy and not easy to get into the water due to the rocks. I had some laundry done it is very expensive...cost about $100 for a couple of shirts some underwear, socks and a couple of shorts. The hotel is near a local supermarket and you could easily walk there for sundries if needed. Location is right off of main highway. Some fine restaurants in the Puerto Marina area (about a five minute drive from the hotel).

the hotel was nice, building is old but it has been renovated recently, view is very charming, breakfast is very good, the only problem was location as it is a bit far from Puerto Marina where the action is
