Didn't know that, they had became pet friendly since my last stay. So the slight noise in my room kept the dog yappying through out the night. But wasn't enough to break my jet lag sleep.

The rooms are OK, if only a little too small. The reception staff is mostly uncaring and not very friendly. The location is next to a highway and with little to none restaurants or shops nearby. Plan to have a car available if you stay here.

Staff was rude and told us wd had no reservation..... Made me charge my phone and show a confirmation number when it clearly should have been in their system. Argued with me and didn't do anything to fix their own mistake.

I stayed on the 3rd floor and the room was completely renovated. Nice pics on the walls, cleanliness was top notch. Didn't partake in the grab and go breaky but honestly couldnt care less about that. Marble countertops in the bathroom, nice shower and really chic wood floors. Full kitchen but didn't use it except the fridge. Now that I know about this place I would not hesitate to book again (but hopefully at a lower rate next time). They even offer you a delivery menu if you choose to order in.

Checked in and the room key didn't work. Got a replacement which didn't work either. This was lucky because the room was occupied by someone else. Awkward!!! There was an irritating blinking light on the smoke alarm. Maybe they had a problem with people smoking in the the rooms because there was a cage installed over the alarm which reflected the light like a disco ball. The grab-and-go breakfast bar had no coffee, two oranges and some packets of instant oatmeal. We grabbed the oranges and didn't wait around.

Decent, very basic, no frills. Ventilation in the bathroom was very loud so a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper. Only stayed one night before flying home. Grab and go breakfast was a nice gesture. Low on towels but I'm sure more would be available if requested.

New concept for hotels ...very basic self service. No maid service as standard, so no linen change or room cleaning during duration of stay. Quite expensive for quality of hotel/ more Apartment. There was a kitchenette with two ring hob , microwave, kettle, sink, coffee maker and refrigerator.

It is just a reasonable hotel but not for the price of ~ $ 170. The location is isolated unless it is a location near your even that makes you restricted to few options. I would pay $60 per night for this. Breakfast is nothing near what a breakfast should be. Hallways have smell of garbage room. The check in time is 3 PM. When we got there, they were asking us to wait another 45 minutes for the room to get ready. We were unable to manage and they gave us another room that I assume was worse than what we had booked.

Good size room, flat screen TV (with about 20 channels), fridge, stovetop and microwave. Horrible stay. It is an extended stay motel. You have to specifically ask for plates, cups, toaster, silver wear and coffee maker. What motel does not have coffee makers in the rooms?! If you would like to wash your dishes you have to ask for soap. There is no dishwasher and housekeeping will not wash or replace your dishes. Most of your towels will be stained. No replacement shampoo. In the month I was there, my kitchen countertop was never wiped down, not even before I checked in. The most annoying part of this motel is the lack of staff. The front desk is not staffed before 7:15am. God help you if you have an early flight. The few times I cornered the desk staff...(They hide in a corner to the left, You have to yell to get their attention. One time I walked out the front door and caught the guy going outside once he thought I left) they were RUDE and unhelpful. As I checked out today, the man at the front desk at 8:45am was laughing at a gentleman who had a question about charges to his room. I asked for mail for 10 days that was signed for by the manager Karen and did not receive that mail until a staff member from a nearby motel was covering a shift. You will ALWAYS find a sign at the front desk that says helping a guest be back in 15 minutes, even if you do laundry for 1:15 minutes. Or a sign that says call 600 for help....No one answers. The worst, is the lack of hot water. Many days I showered with cold water. I talked to a guest in the lobby that asked a few of us if we had hot water. My response was "today I did."

Stayed here 2 nights. First of all we checked in and the first room we looked at was absolutely filthy. It even had old dried food in the stove burners and the counter top was dirty and all sticky. NOTHING seemed to have been cleaned. The second room was better but still dirty. It's a good thing we brought spray disinfectant with us, and sprayed the entire room and bed. The TV remote had crap built up on it I was afraid to even touch it. We only used the remove after I sprayed it with disinfectant and wiped it as clean as possible about 5 times. The paper towel used was BLACK from all the caked on disgusting food. The room and entire hotel smelled horrible. They no longer provide the basic that an extended hotel does. You have to ask for everything including coffee maker and coffee. This hotel is listed as newly renovated and this is a bold faced lie. NOTHING is renovated in this hotel. It was obvious to us that they make this claim so they can charge you more. We have stayed at extended hotels for many years and this is the last time. There are many more BETTER options available and we will be looking elsewhere in the future. I'm not going to go into every detail but everything was filthy and disgusting. And they get $200 per night for this? ABSURD!

My first time staying in a extended stay, and it turned out to be such a good place. The staffs are friendly, roomy rooms, clean bathrooms and good amenities. Only thing I wished they had was warm breakfast. All they had was muffins, bananas, apples, granola bars and coffee/tea.

Located about 10 miles south of SFO airport and firmly mid-Peninsula, this hotel is about halfway to everything in the Bay Area, although that can still mean long rides in traffic. It's also a 20-minute walk to the Caltrain station and several restaurants. Depending on your preferences/needs, ESA Belmont has both pet- and smoker-friendly rooms. It is also priced less than many of its competitors and is a reasonable way to save some money in a very expensive area. WiFi, parking, and a very minimal snack for breakfast are included. We did not buy the WiFi upgrade as the normal creaked along at 3 Mbps. Housekeeping is once per week, although you can get as many towels and toiletries at the front desk as needed (and pay extra for daily housekeeping if you require it). While I expected our room to smell like cigarettes (it was the last room available), it actually had this funk like smelly feet that even Febreze could not dispel! There was no comfortable public area in which to sit and work and escape the smell either. Too bad, because I've never before written a hotel review fussing about an odor! Another guest said she'd bought Febreze too. We had neither a pot nor a pan in the kitchen, and I hope the housekeeper was just too short to see the sticky mess all inside the kitchen cabinet (and no paper towels with which to clean up). So the kitchen was a waste except for the fridge and microwave. Ending on a positive note, I must say Victor at the front desk was amiable and helpful over a several-day stay.

If you book online only A room is reserved, not the room you booked. So instead of a King-size non-smoking room, you can get a 2 full-size smoking room. Sheets/Bed were low quality, as was everything.

This hotel is like all other extended stay hotels. Pros: - Cheap - Near to offices in Redwood Shores - Walk-able distance to Belmont downtown. - Clean room - Free Wifi, Parking, Coffee Cons: - No dishwasher - Internet is not that great - Service is Ok - Breakfast, you better get your own. - No Gym - No Office facilities like printing etc, though they do help getting a printout but it is not very convenient. - No Swimming Pool Overall, ok for a day or two stay. Not good for long term stay.

I wasn't expecting too much in terms of facilities given the price, but some things were disappointing - plumbing problems: backflow of garbage into the kitchen sink, bathroom sink draining very slowly - paper thin walls: I could even hear the snoring of the person in the next room, and hear a conversation fairly clearly - barebones breakfast: The only thing hot is coffee and water... I wish they offered something more (bread, eggs, danish, bagel...)... All they have is bars, fruit, muffins... - the person at reception is gone most of the time.... have to call to get them there... On the plus side, free wife, free parking, and clean room.... Overall, I'm not sure I'll come back to stay here...

The rooms are clean, although they do not clean it everyday. The Kitchenette is very Handy and important as well as there are very little options to eat nearby. It is a stones throw from Oracle HQ and some of the other firms in the Bay area. The Best thing is it is value for money if you are on for a long stay and there are no issues/problems as such.

We stayed here for three nights (10/18/2013-10/21/2013) while visiting the San Francisco area. The hotel itself seems pretty isolated, though I'm not familiar with the area at all, but it didn't take too long to get to more civilized areas. The front desk staff was really nice, especially Lisa - who helped us out with several random requests/inquiries. Our room (# 516) was both spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was nice having a recliner in the room. We had all of the necessities for basic cooking, which we took advantage of. We did need a couple of smaller items which were provided upon request (Thanks Lisa!). There was no real noise transfer between rooms and no noticeable street noise, even though the hotel is right off of the highway; Our hallway smelled pretty strongly of cigarette smoke; however, our non-smoking room had no odors at all. The breakfast was meager, but we weren't expecting anything at all so it was a bonus. The grab-n-go breakfast consisted of coffee, granola bars, muffins, apples and oranges. All in all, this was a good experience and I would recommend this place for anyone without the need of staying in "The Big City".

The rooms stink, the room is serviced only once a month, there is no place to eat nearby. You need to clean your own utensils. There are no other amenities, it is basically just a room, nothing else. even the TV channels are very limited.
