The front desk employee was very nice and chatted with us, as we entered the motel. There was some construction going on so we had to walk around to the back of the entrance, instead of the front. The room was very clean and no outside noise could be heard. Will be staying here again, if I have business on that side of DM.

There is no shampoo so you can't shower. You get what you pay for, and here it isn't much.

I wanted a room close to where I'm working so I choose Village Inn. I was very disappointed after reading the reviews at the room I received. I I was placed in the old building. The furnishing were very old, the tub/shower needed up dating, the ice machine wasn't working and the whole room smelt of paint. It did have good heat (4 deg. that morning) […] and lots of hot water. I was unsure of staying there after reading some of the reviews. I had no complaints and we stayed 3 nights while at the Beef Expo. We stayed in the main building so the doors opened to the inside of the hotel. Very quiet, clean and the hotel staff was friendly. We didn't have a problem with the neighborhood and the restaurant did give a 10% discount […] on our order. We will stay there again, we couldn't beat the price. we only stayed one night. We were attending a function in downtown and this very clean motel was less than 5 miles away and fit our needs just fine. We wanted a clean place to sleep and there was a Village Inn in adjacent to the parking lot. No complaints.

It was ok we only stayed there one night after a concert to ling of drive home for that time of night it was nice that you get a discount to village inn restaraunt overall i would stay there again.

Carpets in need of replacement. Also, this might not bother many, but I am a late night person and tend to sleep in. The sounds of vacuuming were pervasive in the hotel as of 9am or so. I would wait a little longer or improve sound insulation. Finally, it's not the best location in Des Moines, but that's what it is and might not bother someone.

Hotel room was very clean,but the bed was pretty firm & uncomfortable. The hotel was a little farther off the highway than we expected, but not terrible. The neighborhood was a little shadey. Staff was very friendly.

This was a perfectly comfortable overnight stay to break the trip from Minneapolis to NW Arkansas. It was too far off the interstate. but we booked the room at the last minute and couldn't see a map of the route. A discount was offered for meals at the Village Inn. So good food was available for dinner and breakfast.

Finding ourselves in a room that smelled to be non-smoking in name only, with an non-operational lock, and a window screen that looked as if someone had attempted to exit the room quickly - we thought this hotel might've been a bad choice. In an attempt to save money, I booked this hotel because I figured it was just for one night. One long night. My hotel room was on the first floor and faced a parking lot and a very noisy intersection. The front desk attendant was nice enough, but advised me when she handed me my room key that it would take several tries for it to work in the door. […] She was right. The interior lock on the room wasn't lined up with the door frame, so I had to force it to lock. The day I showed up, it was 95 degrees out, only to find out that the ice machine was out of order. Beds and Pillows could have been better. Also old tvs not flatscreens. Quiet and located close to where we wanted to be. Overall an OK hotel for the price. Staff were very friendly and helpful when we had a problem and fixed it right away.

We thought the motel was extremely clean, especially the bathroom. Staff was very helpful about nearby restaurants. Also liked that it was WiFi accessible and many outlets to plug in phones, laptop, kindle, etc. Also the hotel was right next to the road we needed to continue our trip.

There are doors on the end of the building that are unlocked at all times, it is very easy for anyone to come in off the streets. We actually witnessed someone come in the door and urinate in the stairwell in a cup. We reported it to the desk clerk and then contacted the manager. The manager said we should have called the police. Why didn't the desk […] clerk call the police and why didn't she report it to the manager until 2 days later. The location was hard to find. I drove up and down East Euclid for a while before I noticed it was BEHIND the Village Inn restaurant. Once I found the motel I noticed there were few marked parking spaces. The front desk staff was friendly, but it was inconvenient to have to walk around the building to the parking lot in the cold weather to get to my […] car after 11pm. The room was okay. The bathroom was quite small and the heater was fairly inconsistent. It was hard to regulate the temperature in the room, so I spent most of the night either totally on top of the covers or completely underneath them.
