My stay was a total train wreck, the first room they gave us the shower handle broke and we were unable to turn off the shower. There was no maintenance or management staff on premise to handle the issue. I was quite disappointed in the stay. I booked the property on line and contracted for a room and breakfast. There was a pool in the description of hotel offerings. When I arrived at the hotel I were advised that breakfast would be an additional charge. Another charge was added for parking. Although there was a pool on the premises, there was no water […] in it! The entire pool area was cordoned off. One could not even relax in a lounge chair. When I discussed the breakfast charges with the manager, he said the description on Hotels.com was changed and had not yet been addressed on the site. This I found to be inappropriate. It would be better to honor the free breakfast claim until the computer catches up with the new program than to break a contract issue. The additional charge for parking seemed unnecessary due to the availability of space dedicated to parking. I could have remained at this hotel for another night, but chose to go elsewhere due to the blatant disrespect of the client demonstrated by the staff and chain. Read more

The management of this hotel was an expert in the game of bait and switch. I think they also are not in compliance with privacy laws to protect personal identity. When we made reservations to stay @ Kendall Inn, they offered complimentary parking and breakfast. When we checked in, there were paper signs at the front desk that there is now a five dollar […] charge per night for parking and the breakfast was now eleven dollars and fifty cents per person. Also during check in, on the agreement sheet was my entire credit card number, name and expiration date and THEN they impressed my card on the same piece of paper again. I asked if the paper would be shredded after check out and I was assured that every hotel uses this same practice and the paper will be in the hands of their accountant and not shredded. I told the counter agent that if my identity gets stolen, I know exactly whom to blame. He said ,"OK." Our room was clean and spacious. The water got hot enough. The TV cable had awful reception and there was no wifi in our room at all. The second day however, there was a roach that measured a good inch and a half in length, minus the antenna, and if there was a way to attach a photo, I would. He was quite a specimen until my husband killed it. The security doors on the east and west ends of the hotel were propped open on Saturday night when we got back after midnight. We will never use this facility again simply because of the lack of trust between business and customer. Read more

Reserved a King Suite. Arrived to the hotel and was told they were sold out and had no idea how I got a reservation. They put me in a double and told me the manager will make it up to me in the morning. We got settle in the room decided to watch a movie only to figure out the remote control doesn't work. We can turn the TV manually, but can't change […] it from the menu channel. I called the front desk to tell and ask them for a new remote or new batteries. I got there at 8pm the day of check-in and was forced to wait about 30 min to verify what room I would be staying in, then I get to the room and although the description states "hard wired internet" there was no cable in my room. When we arrived at this hotel, w e got a rude shock as we were told that as of Feb 15, 2013, breakfast would cost $11:50/ person and parking would be another $5/night. We protested and had to get the computer out to show that the Hotels.com confirmation that stated that the price paid included breakfast. After some discussion, the desk assistant/manager […] accepted the confirmation and agreed not to charge for the breakfast. As for parking, I protested that this was not mentioned on the wbesite and again after some discussion, the manger agreed. Getting to the hotel room was a challenge as the building name (Egret) was not clearly visible and one had to guess the location. There were no trolleys to carry our luggage to the room and once on the floor, no indication as to which side one needed to turn to get to the room. For the price paid for this room, these simple conveniences would normally be assumed to be readily available. The breakfast was adequate and tasteless. Overall, a fair price for the stay, but beware the additional charges. In fact, at breakfast, several other guests were surprised that there was a stiff cost attached and had to argue their way out as we had done earlier. Read more

Very happy with this hotel, very close to Dadeland Mall and the shops and restaurants that are located across the street from the mall. Not a 5 star, but a very steady 3 star. In general, this is a OK hotel if you want to stay in a suite. It has two bedrooms and two bath rooms. The main bed room is nice with its own TV and king size bed. Our stay was a very good experience. The room was large enough and very tidy. We were given a free up grade. the place was very quiet and cozy. The staff was very nice house staff very attentive and hard working. The front desk staff was always prompt and helpful. Although everyone seemed to be speaking spanish our WestIndian english was easily understood […] and communication was very easy. The one negative that I can think of is the provided breakfast was the same every day for 7 days. Scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, pancakes, cake, fruit, bread, orange juice, milk, coffee and tea. These rooms are huge! We even had a walk-in closet. We just rented a room but it was very large, almost twice the size in width as a room in other hotels. My family and I live in Miami, had to pick a hotel to stay during house fumigation. Picked this hotel, with a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom and living room, cause it is in a very good area and looked decent over the internet. The hotel front desk clerks were very impolite and rude. The 2nd bedroom had a TV cabinet but no TV, asked at the front desk, they told […] me I only get 2 TVs, living room and main room, therefore kids did not had TV, not a great feature, had to give them our main bedroom. Although we rented a 2 bedroom, logically for a party of 4, breakfast is only for 2 people, go figure, although the hotel was completely empty, they would not budge, bad breakfast for $13, no way !!. 4. overall conditions of the room is in the low 10-20%, carpet old, TVs are TUBE (yes, from 1980, not even LCD, kitchen old, etc..... Dirty counters in kitchen. Bathroom sinks dirty. Pool area super slippery. Master bed shirts dirty... The breakfast is horrible! We found green peppers and onuons in our oatmeal! Disgusting! I can't understand some people's negative reviews of a place. Our trip to drop off our son at the Univ of Miami was heightened by this 'find'. I didn't expect much given the price. OK, there were some minor, very minor things, like outdated furniture, but the room we had was HUGE, with a very nice bathroom, comfy bed and apparently new a/c.
