We stayed here for the good rates, and were within a 5 minute walk to Doubletree and the other premier hotels and also the awesome Ale House (try the chicken twisters - yummi). The staff at the front desk were awesome, though the sales desk BS'd us by telling us that their tickets were the same cost as at the gate of Universal. Universal gate was cheaper. They also pushed for us to get a 2 day pass saying it takes 28 hours to get thru the two parks. Well we bought the 1 day pass and we were on and off ALL the rides in both parks by 3PM and were heading back to Island of adventure to ride some again. But if we bought the two day pass we would've been bored out of our mind. Granted we did go to Universal on a Tuesday and there were few people there. Also the sales desk told us it was a 15 minute walk. Me and my friends are in marathon shape, it still took us 30 minutes to get there. Lastly they told us that since we are staying in a hotel close to Universal we'd get in at 8, another lie, we arrived at 8:15 and we weren't allowed in until 9, only guests staying in Universal itself at the expensive premier hotels were allowed early entry. So in summation; I would recommend La Quinta but don't go buy your tickets from the liars at the sales desk for any parks. PS - our room smelled like someone smoked in it, it was mild so we didn't complain and the windows opened, that was nice.

"Avoid if you can"
Heated outdoor pool...NOT. You have to go to the front desk for and iron and a key for the safe (which the guy at the front desk insisted that I wait 20 minutes for so that he can check 5 people in = RIDICULOUS!!!!). You only get one room key. The frame for one of our beds was broken and caved in. The bathtub had black mold and cigarette stains. The […] bathtub mat was even worse. "Orlando Continental Plaza Hotel in Orlando Florida"
On 04/13/12 I spent only one night, hotel room had a strong cigarette and musty odor. Toilet paper holder was loose from the wall and we were given one towel each person. Coujld not understand clerk at all and had to find room by driving and looking because of language barrier
"Extremely rude"
First, they did not include the breakfast with the stay, even though it said it did. When I asked at the front desk about the breakfast, he was rude, and said I did not have to stay there if i did not like .They blame it on hotels.com for posting the wrong information. Bad service, and hotel was dirty.
Definitely not worth the money EXCEPT for the fact that it is very close to Universal Studios.

"Great location but ...."
The location was the only thing worth mentioning. It is right in front of Wet 'N Wild and lots of restaurants around it. The hotel however, needs to be remodeled really bad. Everything is super old and rusted, the beds are uncomfortable and service sucks but you can't really complaint for the price.

We got this room strictly to crash there after city walk. The hotel is very close to universal, only a $5 cab ride :). Definitely is not a 5 star hotel but its good enough for the night.

Overall it was alright considering We Where out most of the time... Rm had a mildew odor, We bought an airfreshener and guala. .. The hotel towels had had their day's really need an update they feel like the 10year old towels I dry my car tires. .. Lights are Kind of poor in the roo. We didn't spend much for the one night we were there, so I guess I won't complain too much. We were able to ride the shuttle to Universal (but it was 15 min. late and only ran at 11am), it was a comfortable walk back to the hotel after the park closed (because the return shuttle only ran at 7:30pm). The room was pretty gross, but all we wanted was a […] clean bed with clean sheets and a place to shower, so that's what we got. (didn't touch the bedspreads....never do!) "Double-Booked"
The first night we were laying in bed watching some tv and someone tried to come into the room using a key. luckily we had the only one available in the hotel. When I looked out the window the guy held up a key card that had our room number on it. I'm not sure what happened but he left and nobody came back after that. By the way, don't order pizza from […] the "Magical" Pizza flier that was located in the room. They too 2 hours to bring us our pizza and it was cold. That has no effect on my rating of the hotel though. There isn't a continental breakfast like I thought, they do have a cafe but you have to purchase everything. The location was great for what I was there for. I can sleep through the sound of cars passing by. our window faced the interstate and you could hear every car. Once my sister started snoring though, I forgot all about the cars. If you want to iron your clothes you have to ask for it at the front desk and return it when you check out. I found that a bit strange. Over all I got what I paid for and I wasn't expecting much in the first place so I wasn't disappointed. The beds were AMAZING though. I normally go home with a terrible back ache after a weekend trip in a hotel bed but my bed makes my back hurt compared to the beds in there! LOVED IT! Read more

"A place just for the sleep after visiting parks"
Opt for this hotel if you just need a place to sleep after visiting hollywood studios/island of adventures. Walking distance to hollywood studios, eating places etc. Washroom taps were bad & the condition of the hotel is just ok. Have to pay extra for iron/microwave etc.

The first night nothing worked....phone, heat, hot water....next night new room.....bugs.....bugs for the next three nights....I want a refund a.s.a.p. whomever may read this. It's court worthy.
"Continental Plaza Hotel"
We stayed here one night while we went to Universal. The hotel is less than a mile from Universal, and is close to stores and restaraunts. The room was clean and quiet. The bathtub did seem a bit old but it was clean, so no complaints! Great price, great location, and a good nights sleep. We would book again for sure.

The service was good, the Hotel was nice for the price, it is not a Hilton, but for what I wanted and needed..... it was great. The only complaint I had was that there was no internet in the rooms, I had to go to the lobby to get a connection and they did not have ESPN 2........ other than that they were very friendly and helpful.....

i was really suprised how great this ended up, the location was great the room was very comfortable. its no 5star hotel but its great for a weekend getaway . walking distance from citywalk and wet n wild id stay here again!

"Bad Experience"
Bad experience. Room was clean. Room service was really poor and they decline at 11 pm to bring me extra towels or pillows. Lady on frontdeak said that she cant leave the counter. Ask for late checkout and front desk said only one lady cleaning and she need to leave early because no baby sitter for her kids.

The room wasn't clean. Bathroom had not been cleaned at all. The TV control didn't work and when we requested another remote front desk said we had to wait until next day. When we complained they gave us a new one that didn't work either so we asked to have another room which they refused to do. not a bad hotel very close to universal studios and cheap price. they have wireless internet but cant be used in your room have to be in the hotel's lobby (very disappointing). other then that perfect hotel if you want a cheap room for the night and convince to be near universal studios. will go again.

things to know: 1-there are NO queen beds in this hotel despite the room description online. 2- This Hotel reserves a designated group of rooms for us who book on this site. It is on the 4th floor. But, we were happy with the room, it was clean and comfortable. The Pool is heated and the hotel is well maintained. Great location. It's close to the attractions, […] as a matter of fact, right across the street from WetNWild and around the corner from Universal. Tons of things to do. Eventhough it says no breakfast, there is coffee, OJ, toast and cereal. We were happy with that. "Bad Hotel"
The only good thing about this hotel is that it's cheap and it's near everything. Everything else is just ridiculous. Internet didn't work, room was dirty (especially the bathroom), the walls are EXTREMELY thin it's like you're sleeping in the middle of the street, and the A/C blew very smelly air.
