The hotel was very nice, especially for Borrego Springs. We didn't visit the spa or the restaurant, but our room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We came mainly for the hiking, so we didn't golf either, but we did walk the course and it looked very well maintained. This was my first time to the area. The hotel itself was one of the nicest in the area. The room was surprisingly really clean and comfortable. Very large as well. The staff was very helpful, even when I left my room without the key and had to have another one made :/ My only small tiff was the hotel restaurant. On a Tuesday night they were too understaffed […] to deliver room service. Not a huge deal, it is right across the street so I just walked over. Being one of only two good places to eat in town, it was crowded for a Tuesday. People were waiting for tables because there was only one or two waiters (they did not schedule enough for the night). I sat at the bar and slowly got some to go service. The bartender was nice and very apologetic. I am a very easy going person so I didn't mind waiting, but I could see where some people could get frustrated. The next morning I went in for breakfast. I sat for 20 minutes without anyone coming by and eventually just left. Other than that the experience was just fine. Read more

Did fine job, met all expectations. Only nit pic was very low shower heads. I'm only six feet tall but shower looked like it was designed for munchkins and even 5' 5" femal thought they were too low as well. Overall, would recommend this hotel to others as good place to stay in Borrago springs.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Borrego Springs Resort. Room was very spacious,with a large tiled private balcony with a nice view. Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Duvet was a nice touch instead of a blanket. Bathroom was spotless with a large counter to put your things. There was a bit of an odor when first arrived, but opening the sliding […] patio door soon resolved that. The Arches restaurant on site had a rather disappointing dinner menu but excellent service. Nice hotel with all the mein ties of a palm spring's resort at half the price. Spacious comfortable rooms, nice facility and hospitable staff. Very close to the visitor center at the state park

Since it is a resort with golf course, tennis courts and spa, it's more expensive than the other hotels in the area. Although I didn't use any of these facilities, I was glad to stay there because the hotel was very clean and the staff was courteous. I highly recommend eating at the restaurant ("Arches"). They provide high quality food at reasonable […] price. One complaint was that the bathroom fan was too noisy. The fan turns on when the bathroom light turns on so it was hard to avoid it. Pretty "normal" hotel, a few complaints but I went here "off season" so for $ it was super reasonable. The pool is nice, the hot tub ok... the food at the restaurant was great, the service there was SO BAD i thought was on a hidden camera show but that sort of thing varies... the rest of the staff was very kind. Was extremely hot. The hotel restaurant was closed (Mondays and Tuesdays) from July 1st until October 1st. The golf course is closed for 3 months in the summer as well. Very few guests were on site. Hotel should really be avoided during the summer. To make matters worse, most of the restaurants in town were also closed.

This is an upscale resort setting with well maintained grounds and large rooms. We didn't take advantage of the spa, but it looked good. The rooms are clean and really big. Ours had a comfy king bed plus a fold out sofa, dining table, patio with table and chairs, micro, and fridge, all completely spotless. The restaurant was only open from 9am-8pm and […] those times didn't work for us. We headed to Kendall's for breakfast and Ocotilla's for dinner and they were great. Loved staying at this hotel, which is conveniently close to the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, if you want to walk the trails and come back to a cool haven! The food in the restaurant was good, the dinner service not. If you get to the restaurant by 9.30pm , expect to see no other people around, and the servers are a bit irritated with you for wanting […] to have decent service before 10pm, when they close. Our stay did not involve golfing. We actually spent the day in Julian enjoying the apple pies and gold mine then came back to Borrego for dinner and hotel. The next morning we went for an early run right out our door and into the desert, scrambling up the hill behind. Nice views.

The hotel is in a stunning but dry valley. Temperatures are high but A/C works perfectly. Beds are amazing (egyptian cotton) and the pool area is also good. Only comment is that the food in the restaurant is not very inspiring.

It was 105 , but that was what we were looking for, tired of the gloomy cool california coast summer. The resort was not crowded, pool and room were quiet. We barely went out of the resort and enjoyed very much our stay there. Last but not least, price was very low for such good quality. We will return!

Wir haben das Hotel Borreo Spsrings reserviert, weil wir diese ein wenig unbekannte Gegend Californiens kennenlernen wollten. Das erste Zimmer, das wir erhalten haben, war klein, dunkel, gegen Parkplatz gerichtet. Nach der Reklamation haben wir eine Suite bekommen, aber nur mit 1 Bett ( wir haben DeLuxe mit 2 Betten reserviert). Dieses Zimmer mit kleiner […] Küche hat uns sehr gefallen. Das Hotel im allgemeinen machte ein wenig schäbigen Eindruck, Swimmigpool und Wrillpool voller Blätter. Das Hotel war voll belegt mit einer Bingo-Gesellschat. Es entsprach nicht unserer Vorstellung über einen Resort und SPA. Read more
