Modern malls give way to ancient souks selling silks, spices, gold, perfumes, and a lively fish market. A broad waterfront promenade leads past the dhow wharf, where the wooden vessels offload their cargos. Beyond lie the dhow boat-building yards, and Dubai Creek’s ritzy golf and yacht club.

Reviewed by R of Scotland on Apr 6, 2009
This is a beautiful , classy hotel. The service is typically 5 star and the rooms are enormous and very well furnished with huge balconies which is quite unusual in Dubai. My only criticism of the hotel would be that there is no view from the rooms at all, the balconies look straight onto apartement buildings which are very close.

The service was overly official and not very accomadating. It is really hard to get a cab and the neighborhood is old. The hotel is in OK shape but the Gym was poorly maintained.

i had been booked at another so called 4 star hotel. the hotel must have been rated by someones family member. iI immediately checked out and booked the Taj, thru hotels .com.. its actually much cheaper if you book over the internet. the hotel was immaculate and service was phenominal. the rooms were extremely comfortable and very very spaceous. breakfast was included and exceptional. the only drawback was that no liquor was allowed and the restraunts were disapointing except for the indian food. dont hesitate to stay at this fabulous hotel

Eccellent 5* hotel, in a nice area of Deira close to a cinema and a mall. rooms are huge and perfectly furnished, service is real five star. can even watch 2 italian channels on TV. The hotel kept our bags after check out, and allowed us to use the superb swimming pool on the roof free of charge while waiting for our flight at midnight, even if in principle we were not guests of the hotel anymore. 10+

Luksushotell på Deira-siden av creeken. Kan ikke anbefale frokost pga. for dyrt. Stille og rolig. Ikke barnevennlig pga. bassengfasilitetene der det ikke er lov å leke. Passer best for voksne. Bryllupsreise? Fint treningsrom oppdelt i kjønn.
