Charming Afrikan theme in the lobby and public areas of the hotel. Staff was very helpful, allowing an early check in without extra charge, and all spoke at least some English. Restaurant had fabulous dinner menu and the wait staff was very helpful (again with the English). The morning breakfast buffet was very well prepared and satisfying. I'd definitely recommend Hotel Sunderland to anyone staying in the area and I'd book there again.

Easy to find and to park at. Just beside the town wall and easy to explore Soest on foot from the hotel. Lacks charm but the facilities are clean and tidy with very comfortable beds and good value for money.

Wir haben eine günstige nette Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in der Nähe der Stadthalle gesucht, weil wir dort an einer Veranstaltung teilgenommen haben. Dieses Hotele lag wirklich direkt neben der Stadthalle, das war super. Die Zimmer waren klein aber sauber und zweckmäßig, das Frühstück lecker. Für den Preis wirklich empfehlenswert.

Mehr als 2 Sterne hat dieses Objekt leider nicht verdient, da die Sauberkeit der Zimmer und insbesondere die Qualität des Zimmerservice sehr zu wünschen übrig lassen! Das Frühstückbuffet ist von seiner Leistung höchstens durchschnittlich, dafür bietet das gefällige, lichtdurchflutete Foyer mit Bar und Frühstücksraum einiges an kostenloser (!) Freizeitunterhaltung […] (wie z. B. einen kleinen Billardtisch, Dartspiel, diverse Gesellschaftsspiele und ein Klavier, um selbst einmal in die Tasten zu greifen). Das Hotel ist einfach und zweckmäßig. Gut für die Durchreise, man kann bei dem Preis keinen Luxus erwarten. Schön wären Nachttischlampen. Die Außenanlagen sind liebevoll gestaltet, schön auch das Klavier im Frühstücksraum. Das Frühstück ist nichts besonderes. Meine Tochter und ich (16 und 56 Jahre alt) haben uns jedenfalls wohl gefühlt.
