Room was ok, clean not smaller or bigger than the most Queenb. Rooms. Pool was nice, kids liked it a lot, deap enough to dive. The breakfast was the best! Whole family would love to stay there again!

Overall I found this hotel and its location off of the freeway to be decent. The continental breakfast was really good and the staff was really nice. The only real complaint that I have was that although the room looked clean, upon inspection of the sheets at bedtime, the staff had obviously not changed the sheets as both sets of the bed sheets had […] "hairs" in them from someone elses prior visit to that room. Not good and very unsanitary in my opinion. On a good note, the hotel was very accomodating and apologetic and upon my request, they supplied us with fresh clean sheets so that I could at least change the sheets out myself. Read more

I will never go to this hotel again. We called in advance and were told the pool would be open, only to find it was rented out when we got there! The room setup is such that the A/C does not cool the room well. The person that checked us in didn't know how to program the room keys well, she couldn't get both key cards to work. The hotel and location was very nice. But they were hosting a private party on the courtyard and pool all weekend, making it unavailable to all hotel guests. Outside appearance is a little aged, but the lobby and outdoor recreation areas are nice. The room is quite old school and could use a fresh coat of paint, new carpet and updated amenities. Disappointed! pool was disgustingly green. rooms were filthy. Needs to remodel desperately! The place looks worn out! On a positive note, breakfast was good. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The hot breakfast was good. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The security of the hotel was very good. Room keys were required to enter areas of the hotel. Grounds inside hotel well were kept.

Service was excellent. We had a few small problems which were fixed immediately. It's not the greatest of neighborhoods (though very conveniently located) but the grounds are large and very nice with gorgeous views of both A Mountain and the Catalinas. And, we enjoyed sitting on our patio in the early mornings.

The first night the air conditioner was noisy; we requested a different room, and were able to make the change. The hotel is convenient to the freeways, but unless one is familiar with the area, restaurants are not easy to find. There was absolutely nothing within walking distance that was suitable. Don't let the AAA diamond award sitting at their check-in desk fool you. I can only guess they received this due to their customer service, which was great. Initially the property looked good but until you get into a room, you're being fooled. This is an older hotel that has a nice coat of paint. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing through the walls - ours were up all night doing the Tucson world series of poker. Yes, the walls are so thin you can hear cards shuffling! At least the giggles of their girlfriends stopped at 2am - the card game did not. How do I know this? That would be from the lack of sleep I got due to tossing and turning all night. The beds were acceptable for comfort but the pillows were about 1 INCH! thick and my guess is they're several years old. ICK!! I tried layering bath towels (which by the way were thin and scratchy) as a pillow. The night we were there, it was terribly windy - you could hear the wind whistling all night though the windows and door. It was also a bit chilly so we used the heater. Every time it would kick on, it sounded as if a jet was starting its' engines. Oh, and, we were in an end unit where there is a metal gate that you use your room key to access the parking lot. Whenever someone used this gate, it would slam shut therefore vibrating the wall by the bed and our door. Patio? Hah! It's a 3 foot cement slab with an old plastic chair overlooking dirt. Whoo ... classy! So, the pros ... no bed bugs, didn't feel dirty (other than the pillows), front desk agent knew the area and was helpful, free parking, the wifi in the room is fantastic (fast and easy!), and the hotel is right off the freeway. Hotel is extremely run down. Our first room was completely unacceptable. Bathroom was a disaster, and windows were so filthy you could barely see out of them. Wonderful front desk clerk moved us to a slightly better room on the main floor. However, in the transfer of items to the new room I inadvertently left a dress in the first room. When I went to the front desk to ask, I was told housekeeping were gone for the day and to check back in the morning. The room was small and the color coordination of the decor was awful. Bathroom very small definitiely not made for tall people. Had to bend down to use the mirror, obviously hung with a very short person in mind. No stopper in the sink, drain was very rusted. Bed was lumpy none of the 3 pillows were alike: one too soft, one too hard one pretty flat […] w/o substance. Free breakfast was bland; not one item of fruit to be seen. Both days we were there most of the food was gone by the time we got there and we got their what we thought was early. Not enough tables/chairs to sit at so we had to sit outside in the cold at the poolside; there was a firepit there full of beer rings. Everywhere we looked there were beer bottles in all the garbage cans; they were overflowing. Pool water was green. I certainly would not swim in it. I'm seeing the green murky water an I'm thinking Typhoid, are all my shots up to date? Should not have chosen hotel so close to the freeway, but I was unfamiliar with Tucson, thought this was a good idea. I was wrong; very noisy. All the side streets were of exceptional disrepair; my teeth chattered while I was driving around the immediate area. Staff were not very cordial (friendly). I might have to pay a bit more, but the next time I will listen to my wife and arrange a stay at one of the Hilton Suite Hotels; you get what you pay for. So, pay a little extra and stay at a Hilton. Room had many problems - bathroom faucet sprayed all over the vanity counter, refrigerator and hair dryer not plugged in, bed lumpy etc etc. Did get room changed - gave us a suite that was really ok, except that sofa very worn, and found rat poison under the sink. Staff varied from excellent to hopeless. One didn't know restaurants at all except for […] a couple, and couldn't give us clear directions - it was a--well you go here, and then there--no street names.
