Room nicely furnished. Bathtub stained but clean. Had fridge, microwave, hair dryer. Floors above squeaked, but air conditioner fan drowned it out. Just needed a room as we traveled through, and would come back.

Only problem was we booked a non-smoking room, and we got a smoking room. Gross. Otherwise, it was fine for what it is! The lady who helped us check in was very sweet.

We were in Cali to welcome home our son from his Afghanistan deployment. The staff was extremely helpful no matter what our requests. My husband is prescribed insulin so they brought a refrigerator into our room. Not being from Cali, we needed directions and they were helpful in getting us to and from our many destinations. Also, with construction on the highways we couldn't return as directed so with a phone call to the front desk we quickly made it. The only issue we noticed is the room needed serious vacuuming around the edges.
Location.
Situated in Big Bear Lake, Lagonita Lodge is close to Big Bear Lake and Snow Summit. Additional area attractions include Bear Mountain.
Property Features.
Lagonita Lodge has a marina, an indoor pool, and a spa tub. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas. The staff can arrange concierge services, tour assistance, and computer rentals. Additional amenities include an arcade/game room, multilingual staff, and ski storage. Guest parking is complimentary.

"Lagonita Lodge, great for the family"
Our one bedroom suite at Lagonita Lodge was roomy, clean, and comfortable, it fit my husband, myself, and two 13 year old boys (and a couple of snowboards) easily. There is a well equipped small kitchen and fireplace as well. Only about 2 miles from Snow Summit resort, it's the perfect place for a short or long stay. The lodge has a game room, heated […] indoor pool and jacuzzi (that wasn't working the night we were there, but hopefully that is not the usual situation), so it was great for our 13 year old son and his friend. There is also a small fitness room (for adults) and an adults only outdoor hot tub, so there is a lot to do when you're not on the slopes. The lodge is not in the village, so you do have to drive to get food, etc., but everything is very close---and its location means there is little traffic noise. The lodge is also right on the lake, and it's possible to rent lakeview units as well, although ours was not one. There was a complaint in another review about the wi-fi, but it worked great for us in the suite and there is no charge. We would definitely go back. Read more

great hotel for the money!
We didn't have hot water in the shower so I had to heat up water in the microwave for my son. Other than that, it was fine.
"Bad night"
Our room had a very heavy oder of insecticide. The clerk could only offer to Lysol spray the room. I had my young son with me and I was quite concerned the whole night. All other locations were sold out, so I had no options. Bad night.

"Quiet location off the beaten track"
This is an older facility which has been updated. The fully stocked kitchen is great. Although all units are not stocked the same. I was there with a friend. Her unit had a set of mixing bowls and a few other things that my kitchen lacked. But overall the kitchen was very well equipped; down to paper towels, dish soap and Cascade for the dishwasher. […] It is located in a residential area, there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance. I was on the top floor and the rooms stayed very cozy at night, even though the temperatures were below freezing. I noticed that the units do not have air conditioning, so it may get toasty in August. My only gripe is with the employee who stood in the parking lot and yakked on his cell phone from 10:00 p.m. until 10:35 when I finally let him know that we could all hear him. He then took his conversation back to the maintenance room. The front desk staff clearly wishes they could be somewhere else, but they got the job done. Next time we are in Big Bear we will probably stay there again. Read more
It was an amazing vacation and we were very happy the staff is awesome!!!! The rooms are clean!!! The activities were sooo fun!!! Great place to come for a vacation :)

"Great place to stay!"
Really clean and well maintained. Wish we had paid more for the lake view though..our friends had a fantastic view from their lake-side balcony. We were on the ground floor and it felt like we were IN the parking lot. Rec rooms were great. Would definately stay there again. Very roomy & well stocked kitchen with clean appliances.

"Wonderful vacation!"
We stayed three nights at this hotel and had a great experience. The hotel location is the best. It is very close to snow play area - "Magic Mountain Slide" Our one bedroom with nice lake view had enough space for family of four. The room amenities are little bit outdated but everything was very clean and functional. The kitchen is quite small but has […] everything for you as promised. You will enjoy a gas fireplace during cold evenings. The balcony is large. The hotel staff is very responsive and offers some activities (check a front desk). No problem with free parking and wireless internet access. We had wonderful but short vacation at Big Bear Lake. Read more
I booked this room as a last minute anniversary getaway, and it was more than I expected to find at the last minute. The front desk staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The room was very comfortable, clean and accomodating. The full kitchen was stocked well and the stone fireplace was nice and warm. The only thing that needs updating are the TV's […] - would like to have seen flat screens, and larger ones. Overall, I would defintely recommend this place. Read more
"parking nightmare"
we drove up to the hotel and were pleasanly surprised by the wonderful mountain atmosphere. the room was ok not anything fancy just a nice sort of clean room. were the rub for us came in was trying to find a parking space. coming in late on a friday night i can understand that most ost the parking may be taken, if the hotel were filled to caoacity, […] which in fact was not the case. there were probably only half of the rooms taken with virtually no parking spaces to be found. it was even worse on saturday night. poor planning on behalf of the city and builder. This is a great place to stay as long as you aren't looking for a rustic cabin. We stayed in a small condo. It was clean and cute. Not super fancy but nice. It had everything we needed as far as kitchen accessories. Plates, wine cork, and even place mats. Was quite satisfied overall.

We had a great stay at Lagonita Lodge. First the surroundings are beautiful. It's right on the lake and the view is breathtaking. Second, when we entered our "room" it was ideal. It had a full kitchen with everything you might need like pots, silverware, plates, cups, glasses. It felt more like an apartment than a room. It had a bedroom and a livingroom […] and a kitchen, and a patio with a view of the lake. The only thing was that they should invest in better mattresses and the pull out was a tad uncomfortable. Everything was great. They have a recreation room for the kids and adults, and there's a swimming pool and spa. We had a great stay and would come back to this place again, definitely. Read more
