Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"Cheap, comfortable but a little bit shabby."
Let me start off by saying you get what you pay for; this was a really cheap hotel in a convenient area. We got a room for three with 2 queen beds that were pretty comfortable. We thought it would be noisy because we were on a busy 4 lane road, but actually it was pretty quiet. My biggest complaint was that the carpet was filthy and needed to be replaced […] years ago and the coffee cups were dirty. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom a bit and the free breakfast was just OK. (FREE) (Starbucks is just around the corner.) But overall, considering the prices downtown, it was a good deal. "Probably not the best service"
We got there an hour earlier than the actual check-in time. The staff did the usual paperwork and handed over the keys to the room. We got to the room and it was wide open and left in a half-cleaned state. I got back and asked the staff and they said - too bad, you are early. I asked if they could help us either clean the room sooner or if they have […] another room available. Sorry, was the answer. Didn't even bother to check if any of the options were possible. None of the staff knew about the train station (we were going to take a train to Whistler) which was 5 minutes away. Had to find the actual direction from a taxi driver. A couple of other trivial service requests -- they refused that as well. May be I got them on an off day. Read more
"North Van on a budget"
I think for the value and the location this little hidden jewel is the perfect place for small families with kitchenettes and laundry facilities and store only walking distance away. The rates were the best I could find with the cleanliness and the location I require.

"Good quality for the price"
There are several motels next to each other on Capilano Rd. I had stayed in others, and this is by far the best. You pay a few dollars more but totally worth it.
"One night stay"
Clock radio's should be updated as knobs were worn out. The only bad thing was that the shower must of had a water saver installed which gave no water pressure for your shower.
We had reserved a room with two beds as there were two guys traveling together. My wife was assured there was a sofa bed as well as a queen bed. We tried to cancel pour reservation at 4:00 on the day we were due but were informed that we couldn't. We drove all the way to North Van from the valley as a result and were then informed there was only one […] bed. We told the guys at reception to cancel the reservation but were still charged for two nights. Our experience couldn't be worse. We demand that the charges be reversed. Read more

Low on parking when got back late from game but they let everyone park in spot to make up for it
"Not fancy but convenient"
I like staying here and have stayed here many times previously. I like the view of Grouse mountain, the fresh air and convenient location to downtown Vancouver. Decent restaurants in the immediate area. I will continue to stay here on future trips for sure.
