I was very impressed with the customer service at the Taj Pamodzi from the housekeepers to the restaurant servers. I recommend the hotel to business travelers. The only thing that was difficult is the need for a taxi to get any where. There are no attractions within walking distance.

Hotel service was good. Clean room a little small. Lovely gardens and check in or out was excellent. Restaurant quality OK Breakfest a 4 but dinner was not good at all. Don't order the steak. It was over cooked and when ording the soup it never shows up. Rate restaurant a bad 2.

Taj is the best hotel in Lusaka. The Grill Room serves a very decent meal, although the live music should be replaced with a nice selection of almost anything else over the sound system. Much cheaper than most of the other 4/5 star hotels in Lusaka. We booked room for 3 people (all rooms are offered like that) and we got a room with two little bit wider single beds. There was no chance for 3 people to sleep there. Room is definitely suitable only for 2 persons, not for 3 and should not be offered for 3 people. 3rd person had to sleep on the floor - ridiculous in 5 star hotel.

The Taj is a very pleasant international hotel in a leafy location between the embassies in Longacres and the commercial centre of Cairo Rd. Part of an Indian chain, there's the delightful option of masala dosas for breakfast! But I was irritated by high charges for internet ($13/day) - these days it should be free, especially when room rates are already […] so high. Also, draught beer at $6 pint, twice the rate of comparable local hotels is unnecessarily expensive. The bar/lounge area is a bit noisy for chatting, with competing TV and music. Very nice hotel with very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Doormen were very helpful with taxis and advice on places to go.I had one very nice evening meal and one average one. I previously stayed at the Protea Hotel (Arcades) and I found that to be a better location. You'll need a taxi from the Taj to go out anywhere at night. The problem for both me and some of the colleagues was that most of the food that we were served from the hotel restaurant was luke warm.
