This was a PERFECT experience! Wouldn't change a thing! Breakfast was amazing.. Pool is exceptional.. Room had a fridge for our booze!! Overall great weekend! Can't wait to stay here next year!

LOVED IT AND LOVED THE AVAILABILITY OF THE BAR AT NIGHT. NO DRINKING AND DRIVING SO AT 11PM THIS WAS WONDERFUL TO MEET AND TALK WITH OUR FRIENDS!!!

Desert Oasis Resort includes tennis courts, a golf course, and fitness equipment as well as a spa tub, an outdoor pool, and a children’s pool. The resort’s activity center offers classes, billiards, activities, air hockey, and darts, and an arcade is also on site. I was expecting a very nice hotel and accommodations based on the nightly rate. When we arrived we were given a room that didn't match our reservation. When I complained they did move us to another room that was better, but I had to show them the booking information and confirmation of what I booked. I was expecting a nice resort when making the booking […] with the rate quoted- when in fact if was more like a motel 6 with kitchens. Checkout time was at 10 am. I requested late checkout and was told to call day of. I called at 6 am and was told to call back at 8 am. I called back at 830 as was told all late checkouts were already granted. When I complained again they gave us an 11 am checkout. Wow! That helped a lot. The only good part of the hotel was one of the workers who was upbeat and very helpful to us on navigating around the area. She truly made the weekend bearable. However with the rate of this place and what I found when I arrived- while it was clean it wasn't worth the per night rate. Sorely disappointed will think long and hard before booking again through this service. Read more

"Comfortable and clean and fresh"
While I am someone in my mid-30's and was traveling to Palm Springs on business, this resort was a little bit of an odd place to stay. I think I brought down the average age by decades but it was a friendly, nice place to stay. I had stayed at a horrible hotel that was dirty and cheaper and was miserable. "It's a winner!"
Since there's no snow in the mountains, we went to the desert instead. I have to say with three school aged kids I was worried the resort would be all retirees and seniors and we would be out of place, but I was happy to see other families with young children and even a few teens. The outdoor family pool was perfect even at 8 am.
"A very comfortable place"
I checked in late night, about 7pm. The front desk was very friendly, and the property was very impresive. The only thing that was a little weird was the parking permit. You must get a paper permit to hang in your car. And I was a little taken aback by the line of questioning about the length of my stay by the guy issuing my permit. I was only staying […] one night and he seemed to be very suspesious of me. Lots of questions. The room was perfect, much more then I expected for such a reasonable price. Huge living room, huge bedroom, TVs in both rooms, great bathroom, and a fully stocked kitchen! With everything you need for a family. My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night while visiting my parents. The room was large and clean, with everything you need. It was a little "dark" but it was also raining so that may have been the culprit. Staff was very friendly. The price was obviously great. We were happy to have free WiFi. The cons...it's kind of in the middle of nowhere. But […] that is typical for the desert. And the required spiel in order to get your "parking pass" was the only thing that we really did not like. the hotel was surrounded by beautiful golf course and lots of trailer parks. i felt somewhat uneasy in that kind of environment. the hotel room had a very strong smell, it can easily be the cleansing agents, but was not pleasant. they staff were trying to sell the timeshare from the minute we arrived... they do have an activity room, but they can improve […] in that department. we ended up getting another hotel the second day, which was same price but a lot more pleasant and nicer right in downtown palm springs. wouldn't recommend the hotel unless you are there to play golf only. "Decent value with some issues"
We arrived and were greeted by a friendly front desk and concierge promptly. The room appeared to be newly redecorated and well maintained except for the issue with bugs in the kitchen, all was good. The hallways had an intense odor, possibly from wet or recently cleaned carpet but it was overwhelming.

This was advertised as a family resort, but there were no families. It was mainly older/retired guests. I felt like my kids needed to be quite around the pool with all of the guests reading books and relaxing. There should be a 'quiet pool' for that. Very friendly staff! The lobby was not too impressive, but the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Great place to stay if you have kids.
"Great place to stay"
The rooms are very spacious - full kitchen with everything you would need to make your meals. Pull out couch in the living room, super comfortable king size bed, walk in closet in the bed room. We met 3 other families there for the week and the rooms were great for visiting with the rest of the group, making meals together, etc. The pool was great […] - the staff at the pool and the security guards were very nice when they were shutting down the pool at night. The pool has a snack bar and bar for drinks - happy hour from 2-4, which was great! The adult only "lap pool" was a little plain - but the main pool was really big. In the pool area, they also have 3 grills you can reserve for evening meals, which we did one night and ate down at the pool. That was a nice place to gather the bigger group. We weren't interested in the time share option, nor were we interested in listening to a presentation - After their initial request that we attend a time share presentation, they never called or hassled us about it again, which was nice. The condo is very spacious & the rooms were clean upon arrival. The resort is getting a little dated & the pool lack slides & frills that are now common in other resorts. The staff wwere very friendly & even came by with a complimentary champagne bottle after we mentioned it was our anniversary weekend. Nice overall.

"For Families"
Great hotel for families. I would definitely return. Close to golf. Got my round in, and back in the pool with the family by 11am. Right around the corner from restaurants, theaters, convenient stores, etc. The rooms are roomy, beds comfy, and full-sized kitchens. In fact, can't wait to go back.

"Desert Oasis Resort - Beautiful, Comfortable Suite"
The room/suite was beautiful, bed very comfortable, very clean, very well appointed. The people in the lobby were very nice & helpful. The pool area was extensive, with a number of different pools & types of pools. We were very happy with the whole place and enjoyed being there.

This was not advertised as The Ritz. but if your expectations are appropriate (mine were) - love it, Great value. ARCHITECTURALLY: Built int he 80's - ho hum. CONDO v. HOTEL: No you don't have maid service but it is built with a better sound attenuation. Really quiet... and nobody around (unlike hotels), perfect 4 me. SPACE: Again a condo. Really generous […] space. A one bedroom hotel unit could never compete. SERVICE: Nice people. "No maid service. Lawrence Welk Hotel is for Seniors."
This is not a full service hotel. It is a timeshare place. Maid service is only once a week but you can pay $30 for an extra service. The real name of the hotel is "Lawrence Welk's Desert Oasis", this is not mentioned on Hotels.com. The elevators are actually wheelchair lifts. It is geared toward Seniors. Very comfortable rooms with full kitchen,separate bedroom, and a youthful staff that are energetic and helpful to all ages. This is normally a time share/owner resort and it is just as friendly to the non-owner. I had to drive too far everyday for business or I would stay again.

The room was large with a separate living/dining area and fully equipped kitchen. Two closets including a large walk-in closet in the bedroom. We stayed in this hotel for a music festival in Indio, CA. It's only a short 20 min drive to the venue and we didn't experience any traffic either way. Given the long history of this establishment, the maintenance of guest rooms in the residential quarters is outstanding with bountiful amenities, although nothing is luxury or spectacular. The hotel is very quaint and nice. The resort is a time share resort with alot of activities for young and elderly people. The rooms seem like a typical time share resort with kitchen with kitchen appliances and a living room. The rooms have everything you need including dishwasher soap. Only stayed one night. Great value. Like having your own apartment. They want you to listen to their spiel on the timeshare but didn't bother with us since we were leaving early in the morning.

We traveled in mid-October and got an excellent rate. The hotel is actually time-share condos and is great for families. They have activities for the kids in addition to pool tables and ping-pong.

The hotel was great! Totally beautiful inside the room! The only thing that wasn't so great was if you smoke you could not even smoke on your balcony or you would be fined $250. Our friends stayed in the smoking building and when we went to their room it wasn't updated at all. The room looked like Lawrence Welk himself stayed there... OLD...

Just completed a stay at the Desert Oasis Resort. Wonderful place, clean, tidy, apartments were wonderful. Only glitch is they press the timeshare issue wish they wouldn't do that! I was fine I had a 2 year old so no childcare!. Apart from that the staff were great, facilities second to none, great value for money will be returning for another visit, […] surrounding areas are great nice places to eat and sights to see. "Oasis indeed"
Our rm was the closest to the street, could hear traffic noise when cars going by. Other than that, friendly staff, great activity room for kids, lots of board games, pool tables, and ping pong tables. Would definitely visit again.

"Best stay ever!!!"
I have stayed at hotels across the country and wasn't expecting such a great place. The staff was excellent and our room was extremely clean. I will be sure to stay here again when around this area again!
