"Very nice for the price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Very nice room for the price we paid. Room was spacious and kitchennette is a plus! Close to all major places that we wanted to go: 5th avenue, Juarez avenue, Walmart, ADO station, colectivo station, good restaurants. Had a great time!
"Trip to Cancun"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
We spent 6 nights in this hotel in their royal club section. Overall it was a positive experience. The hotel personel was friendly and helpful. On the other hand, the management of the hotel should pay more attention for small details. For example, addition of Wi-Fi serveice would be a nice touch.

"Melia Hotel in Cozumel"
The pros: - nice beach - clean room - fun activities for kids - golf course is in great shape The cons: - service is awful all around the resort. Bar tenders look to hate their jobs ! - all bars close at 6pm (except the one in the main lobby). Incredible when you think it is an all inclusive resort. - no shuttle to go to the golf course. It costs $14 […] to go and return from the golf course using regular cabs. Amazing when you payed for an all inclusive golf package! - don't rent a car for the hotel lobby. Their cars are so crappy that they actually are dangerous. You'll find much better cars downtown for the same price! Overall I would not recommend this hotel. Read more
"Melia Cozumel"
We were impressed with the free room upgrade but dissapointed that the "included golfing" was not free. Golfing required the purchase of a golf cart, so we didn't play golf. Food selection and varity was good and the service was outstanding. Dissapointed that we couldn't get a late check out and ended up sitting an extra two hours at the airport.
"Hotel Melia Cozumel"
Food is great, the Staff is really friendly and the location was gorgeous. If I could change something I would like them to improve the quality of the beverages served.

"5 Star service 3-4 star building"
We stayed in the Paradise suites. They were nice and very clean but we had to move due to the strong musty smell. The new room still smelled musty, but livable. The rooms were also humid. We turned down the A/C to 55 degrees trying to dehumidify the room. It kinda worked, but to cold to enjoy the room. We turned the temp to 70 and just delt with the […] humidity. The M Experience rooms were much dryer and less musty smelling. If we do come back we'll stay in those rooms. The food was good and great selection. They had 5 fresh juices every morning. The egg white omletes were terrific. Also the desserts were hard to resist, just to have one. The service attendants were on top of our needs, good job to them! The grounds were well kept and clean but the building is old and architectural styling shows it. They tried to make it look more modern, but you only can do so much. The beach is good and large. It is clean and the water is clear in the morning and late afternoon. Mid morning and afternoon it gets a little cloudy, but far clearer than what you get in the states. The soft sands stops about 2-3 feet into the water, after that it becomes rocky. I noticed most beaches on this island are like that. The place was quiet and romatic, also if you wanted a little pizazz it had it too. Overall a nice place. Read more
"Great room for the money"
Great hotel for the money. Water isn't the greatest in clarity at the hotel, but a 3 minute walk down the beach and over the pier is very clear and great snorkeling. Staff was excellent, the room was exceptional (M experience). Food was definitely adequate. Each breakfast you could order omelet to order, french toast, waffles, fruit, etc. Lunch & dinners […] always had a good variety and always had the ability to order from the grill (steak, chicken, fish, etc). All is all a great value. Read more
"great room for money"
we stayed at the resort for a week of our honeymoon, and it was wonderful. The reason I picked this hotel was because of it's location to the golf course, it also turned out that the location was close to town as well. It was a really nice experience, we stayd in the honeymoon suite with a jucuzzi right outside, and a short walk to the ocean. There […] is not much life after 11pm but you can always take a taxi into town. The food wasn't particulary wonderful but it was good and plentiful. Read more
"Peaceful!"
We loved this hotel......quiet, friendly, clean, and well maintained.
"Just OK. A solid 3, if you like Sizzler's."
Upon my arrival, the hotel did not check my reservation and had a garden view room when I had booked an ocean view. That was quickly fixed and there was a pause where I assumed the desk clerk was done with his schpeel and I innocently asked if I could have a map of the property. He snapped back, I am getting to that, madame! The first room given was […] under renovation. When the door was opened, I could see many tools strewn around the floor. The second room was nice but had a stale, chemical odor which never dissapated, even when the ac was turned up and patio door open. The bell person was nice enough to return with the correct key, to avoid me having to return to the front desk. Arriving in the late afternoon, I had only one choice for food, the snack bar. Choices were very limited to deep fried american fast food. Salad on the menu were 2 thumb-sized pieces of chicken and two lettuce leaves, perhaps finished with parmesean and cracked pepper. No attempt at any authentic mexican offerings. Buffet offerings were even worse. HomeTown buffet or Denny's style food, again, no attempt at authenticity to culture, just a boring and bland american palate. Parisio cafe was a (small) step up, but be prepared to lingure. Even the 70ies hits piano player left half way through the meal. There is one head waiter for the room, taking all the orders. The meal was Sizzler's worthy. Cracked pepper over everything does not automatically put you into "gourmet" status. So, if I had signed up for more than one night, I would have been eating off property a lot. Breakfast redeemed itself with a meger but sufficient omlete bar. Fresh fruit was greying and unapettizing. Limited fresh veggies. Worst of all, no in room coffee and no coffee available anywhere after 11:00, but plenty of booze. Ok, so maybe I was grumpy. Overall, the staff was cordial but not friendly. They seemed overworked and disgruntled. Read more

We just returned from our trip and it was perfect! This hotel was wonderful and every employee did a great job. 5 star all the way!
"Melia Cozumel Mexico"
We appreciated particulary the staff. Everyone was very welcoming and smiling. Our requests were always taking care shortly 5 minutes from the airport and quiet at the same time. Very nice beach, well maintained.
"Hotel Melia Cozumel"
La infraestructura es muy antigua, y poco lujoso. Venia de hoteles de valores similares en playa del carmen y es incomparable en cuanto a comodidades.

"O pior hotel do mundo!"
Hotel 1 estrela. Muito, ruim. Quartos fedorentos de mofo. Tudo MUITO antigo. Os funcionários são péssimos. Ou seja, um hotel que não vale $20 por dia. Lamentável!!!
