"Average and Could Use Some Updating"

The room was comfortable but not as crisp and clean as would be expected for the price. The room could use some updating. The water in the bathroom came out slightly brown the entire time (sink and toilet). The hallway smelled like smoke even though I had requested a non-smoking room. Worse, the windows in the rooms DON'T open. Also, there was a button to press if you wanted the room serviced or not distrubed. Apparently it didn't work because my room was not cleaned the first day, and the second day they knocked at 9:00 am to clean the room even though I pressed the bottom for privacy. The location is about 4 long blocks from Avenida Paulista and the Metro. There are hotels in more convenient locations at better prices. I wouldn't stay here again unless there weren't other hotels available in the price range.
