was a nice place to stay for a quick trip. the only thing that was bothersome, was when we opened the door you could smell the order of urine. we were not sure it was coming from the toilet area or on the carpet from previous. shampooing the carpet would be good or putting in new carpet. otherwise we were happy.

"walking distance, price is right"Reviewed by Logan H of "TX" on Aug 4, 2011
Older motel but very clean. Bed just right, low noise. We don't spend a lot of time in hotels so it worked great for us. Easy to walk into town for dinner or shopping.

"Good for the price"
We got a reservation here through hotels.com. After the reservation was made, they changed owners and name (now Hotel Estes). Even though these new owners cancelled the contract with hotels.com, they still honored our reservations. That got them points in my book. Generally clean and comfortable too. No complaints.
"We'll be back!"
We enjoyed our stay at the Tyrol. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. My daughter enjoyed the great view, looking out over the mountains in the afternoon and in the morning was very memorable to her. We would definitely stay at the Tyrol again on our next weekend trip up to Estes Park
"tyrol mtn in"
hotel was being remodeled. generic room but clean w good beds. location was perfect to where i needed to be. a herd of elk was outside our door 1 morning.
"Overnight in Estes Park"
The star of the hotel is the professional desk clerk who checked us into our room; he was exceedingly respectful and very helpful. For a one-night stay, the hotel was adequate. No problem with bed or room (clean), the walls are just very thin (heard someone snoring) and the plumbing is very noisy, so does not promote an overall enjoyable experience […] . Read more

"winter lodging"
Great location, great price, very clean and comfortable, our heater could not keep up with the 30mph plus winds so they were kind enough to put in a portable heater that kept us beyond warm.

Older hotel that was very clean and the staff was very cordial and helpful.
"a nice stay for a getaway weekend"
The motel staff was friendly and accomodating. Housekeeping was great! The room was very very warm, even after I turned down the thermostat. I had to turn on the air conditioner, but it didn't do much for the whole space. When people above us turned on water, there was a very very loud rumbling sound. It startled us everytime. The bed was decent and […] the size of the room was great. It was a nice, inexpensive place to sleep for a weekend. We would stay there again! Read more
friendly reception staff during check in and out. clean, spacious room, nice view from room. older hotel, bathroom looked remodeled with floor and bath tiles. Nice mountain/log furniture. Bed not the comfyest, but not the worst we have seen.Quick breakfast available, we grabbed muffins and protein bars to get on the road to go snowshoe. We would stay […] again. Read more
"Great Hotel!"
We have stayed at this hotel at least 4 other times. We really like the location, the cleaniness, the staff are always very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The view is great. The hotel is always clean and smells fresh and in great shape never had any problems with anything when staying here.
"Tyrol Mountain Inn"
Our family stays at this hotel every year on our vacation and every year it is fabulous. It is located close to the downtown shopping and the golf course, but the neighborhood is very quiet and safe. The room was clean and quaintly decorated and the staff is extremely courteous.

"Not a fan at all"
This hotel was not at all what I was hoping for. We chose to stay there for a wedding happening at a different hotel with much higher rates, however we definitely got what we paid for with this place. There are a significant number of issues with the running of this hotel. First off, the room is small. Not tiny, but small. It wouldn't have been a big […] deal if not for the fact that the bathroom was almost unusably tiny. There was room for the shower and the toilet, and that's it! Second, the rooms are in need of a serious upgrade. The TV is tiny and old, and the beds are cheap spring mattresses that were not particularly comfortable. Also, there were only two pillows on the bed, total. I don't know anyone who can sleep on just one pillow, which is what my wife and I were forced to do. And then there's the lobby. Although it is very well designed with lots of interesting touches, there is only a small TV in there as well. And if you're hoping to have a decent breakfast, you will have to leave the hotel for it. This place only had dry cereal, milk, OJ, instant oatmeal, and some greasy pre-packaged muffins. Pretty slim pickings. Then there is the management and staff. They were not at all courteous to us. One morning, we walked into the breakfast area, and the clerk on duty was watching a Christian television show. When we asked if we could change it to a news channel, she was very rude and refused to acknowledge us for the rest of the time in there. It was extremely unprofessional to say the least. Our last issue came when was time for us to check out. We were expecting check-out to be at 11 as it is at many other hotels, but we were informed that it was 1030 instead. Because we were traveling with an infant, we had many toys and clothes to pick up and were unprepared to check out by 1030. When we asked if we could be granted a late checkout, the clerk (rudely) told us that they did not allow late checkout. However, we were told upon arriving that the vast majority Read more
"awesome place"
The staff was friendly as can be. Helped us find somewhere to eat and shop and gave us all the extra amenities we needed. It was quiet and the room was cozy. Sourrounding area was beautiful. When we go back this is where we will stay. I recommend this to anyone.
"low price"
for a motel that has reasonable rates, it was fine and fairly comfortable, We wanted a reasonable room rate, thats what we got. no more no less.

"Good enough for the money"
The hotel wasn't anything special, but it was a clean room. The only complaint I would have is that the front desk and breakfast weren't available until 8:00 am. We wanted to get going a little sooner than that.

"Decent hotel in Estes"
The people who work there and own it are SO nice and helpful. I personally prefer and very much updated room for the price i paid and for things to be at least plugged in and work in my room but, that's about all I can complain about. It was very clean to my knowledge and the staff was very nice. Oh, and check out is at 10:30 am. Kind of early when […] we can't check in until 4pm. They have monthly rates, too. Not really in walking distance to The Stanley or downtown though. Read more

Good value hotel. Easy to find and friendly service, rooms were basic but clean.
"October Weekend"
I wasn't all that disappointed with the location or the room cleanliness or amenities because it was a cheaper choice to stay but I was on bottom floor and the ceiling and walls seemed paper thin.
"Tyrol Mountain Inn - OK for one night"
The room was clean and the hotel was OK for an overnight stay. It definitely served its purpose.

"Clean But Dated - Way too expensive"
The hotel was clean but everything was extremely outdated or ill kept. They charged entirely too much and the location was somewhat convenient but there were not views of the beautiful area. This was an extremely run down hotel and could use several updates to improve the comfort of the room.
"Tyrol Motel Estes Park"
Our stay at the Tyrol Motel was the Best! The staff was very helpful and courteous. I would refer everyone to stay there. Even tho the motel was full, the rooms were clean and neat. Thank you
"Nice with problems"
This was the only hotel with rooms in the town we stayed in so we really didn't have a choice in where we stayed. Our rooms were not cleaned, we didn't get new towels. The breakfast bar is way too tiny. The beds are a bit old. But it was satisfactory and the staff was very kind.

"Bad matresses"
This hotel is way over priced. The beds were hard as rocks. The shower was only 5 feet up from the basin of the bath tub. The blankets were way too thin for a room in the mountains. The heat never came on even though the low temp for the night was 38 F. Do not stay here unless you have no other choice.
Old and tire motel. Much better hotels and resorts in the area. Would not recommend. Needs a lot of updating.
"Tyrol Mountain Inn"
This hotel was by far the biggest disappointment of our trip. Although the hotel was clean, it was very dated and had few amenities. This would be ok if we paid a Super 8 price, but we didn't. The hotel was way overpriced for what we received. We recommend you choose another hotel unless you get a really good deal.

"Tyrol Mountain Inn - Estes Park, CO"
This accommodations were basic at best. The room was small, no closet only a pole across the back wall of the room for hanging clothes. The bathroom had p--p on the wall. I asked to have it cleaned. They didn't clean it until the following day. Discusting! The whole complex is run-down.

"Hotel Tyrol in Estes Park, Colorado"
Close to sights I wanted to see, including the city of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Had stayed in another motel in Estes Park last year; this was more than comparable overall. I stayed three full days and four nights, and found everything about the room and the motel's setting quite relaxing.
"Not all that"
First, one room both beds sloped, as in not level. The breakfast was a cup of coffee in a 4 oz cup. The rest was a mini muffin or a rice krispie treat. Nothing else. No juice, no cereal, no eggs, not really a breakfast. The view was great and the spa was a great relief at the end of the trail. Hotels.com made it sound like only a couple rooms remained, […] but the hotel was less than half full. The parking lot is a good 45 degree slope in a couple spots and no consideration was given for RVs or buses. For a regular car, it was a challenge parking...even though the lot was pretty empty. The view is outstanding, but it's a hike or drive to restaurants or other businesses. Rooms were clean and the place is very quiet, but that could be due to the fact there was hardly anyone there. "Oh, don't do it!"
So disappointing... Estes Park is so beautiful and the hotel offered a beautiful view, but that's where the compliment ends. The rooms, dark and dreary, and the artificial turf on the balcony of the second floor need serious updating. The bathroom is tiny, and there was no fan!!! It was clean, except for one black hair (all of us are blonde)... eww. We […] thought we were getting breakfast, but there were just packaged carbs with zero nutritional value. For the price we paid, I was expecting a lot more. We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Loveland following our stay at the Tyrol Mountain Inn and it honestly felt like heaven... at $60.00 less a night. You're better off pitching a tent along the highway... at least it would be a cheap alternative for the same beautiful view! Read more

Disappointed with the checkout process. Checkout time is 10:30 am. We put some of our belongings in our car and left some in the hotel when we went into town to get a few things at 9:30 am. Before we left, we told the maid staff not to clean our room as we would be back before checkout time. When we returned at 10:20 am, our room was cleaned and our […] belongings gone. Some were on a bench outside the room, our phone chargers were in the office and our groceries were in a staff members car. Read more
"Misled about complimentary Breakfast"
Prior to making reservatations, a personal phone call to the hotel and discussions with the clerk that answered the phone led us to believe that the complimentary breakfast would be adequate, that is it would have something containing protein -- like eggs, bacon or milk ... Turns out the breakfast consisted only of muffins, cereal bars, juice, coffee […] and tea. Not even milk and cereal, much less anything containing protein. We felt that we had been misled in the phone conversation about the quality of the complimentary breakfast. This caused us to eat breakfasts at local restaurant, adding about $25 a day to our stay. Had we been given accurate info about the breakfast, we would have chosen to stay elsewhere. We asked the owner to discount the room by $20 to compensate for our additional expense. That request was refused. Read more

The hotel it self was good but...the "continental breakfast" was embarrasing. Not even cereal.
We have stayed here the last several years while attending a horse show in the area. The location and price is what keeps us coming back. It is a very basic hotel but serves all our needs. The staff is friendly and courteous.
"Tyrol Mountain Inn in Estes Park, CO"
It's not the finest hotel but we had a nice stay. The views from our room was great and the front desk and cleaning helpers were nice. I would recommend this place.
"Tyrol Mountain Inn"
We stayed two nights during the week of July 4th. We chose Tyrol Mountain Inn because the rates were reasonable considering it was a summer holiday week and when compared to other hotels with similar amenities. We were in Estes Park because of its proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park and intended to spend most of the time outdoors. If you are looking […] for an upscale hotel experience, look elsewhere and expect to pay much more. But, if your top priorities are price, cleanliness, and basic services Tyrol Mountain Inn is a good choice. Read more
