This place is as close to a dive as I have seen! To call this a resort is a misnomer! It is a combination of Section 8 housing an a hotel. People were nice but it is really misleading to think that this is a resort. Update the pictures of the resort and one would see that upgrades are so necessary.

It was great.They had a band playing at pool side, there is a bar at the pool. Very family oriented. The room was clean , just perfect, the kitchen was very convenient, with a full stove and fridge. 'For the price we paid it was agreat bargain.

Need remodeling, still with old tube TV's and internet not working. Wall AC's were dirty and noisy, filters need to be cleaned. Stayed one night with the family before going to Miami. Cost effective, nothing more than that.

This hotel was a complete disappointment. We reserved and received confirmation for two condos. We get there and only one room was available. The "villa" they wanted to put us in looked abandoned. Don't think I will stay there again. If I were paying $50/nite, I probably wouldn't care, but at $150/nite the problems were too many. Huge microwave placed in living room because too big for kitchen, BBQ's didn't work, Pool was NOT heated, drape rods loose, mildew under bathroom slip-grid, only 1 burner worked on stove, wall paint chipping away. The ceiling was falliing down in one bathroom (water drippiing from ceiling). Kitchen, dishes, stove silverware dirty. Food stuck tothe silverware and dishes, and burned food stuck and hanging on rack in stove. There were only a few utensils to eat with, and no cereal bowls or toaster, and no cooking utensils. The "full kitchen" consisted of a small stove and tiny sink in a 6 foot space between the two bedrooms and the refriderator was stuffed in an adjacent closet. my wife spent a week at the sombrero in january. I have no complaints whatsoever. the furniture was dated but clean and comfortable. the suite was small but servicable. all in all, it wass a very good stay and i would return and recommend it to my florida friends

A nice secluded resort in the middle Keys. Great stay for the price. Comfortable and quiet. Within walking or bicycling distance of a great beach Sombrero Beach. Within an hour drive to Key West and about the same distance to Key Largo. If you like to explore the Florida Keys, this is the place to stay.

The room was supposed to have 2 queen beds, it had a queen and a twin. There were holes in the Sheetrock. The window AC didn't work in the living room. I loved the place though. The view and the people were great. A little hard work could bring the place back up to standards.

Can't beat it for the price. Sombrero beach down the street is gorgeous. The room was a 1 bedroom apt. fully equipped( very large for the price,I was impressed). The marinara was pretty. The hotel is older but everything worked fine. I would stay there again& would recommended it.
