"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Another Good Experience"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
My wife and I have stayed at the Courtyard in Mahwah three of the last four years to attend the NEAF astronomy show at the Rockland Community College in Suffern, just a few minutes away. We've always had good a experience and this stay was no different. The recent renovations definitely spruced the hotel up. The pool and spa area was nice, although the acoustics in the room left my ears ringing after a group of children in the pool were not using their "indoor voices." Our room was very clean, everything worked well, including the internet connection (which is a wired connection) and having a Dunkin Donuts right next door makes a stay here worthwhile in my humble opinion! Just grab a coffee and a bagel sandwich and go. The rates are competitive with other hotels in the area. If someone on here rates the hotel low, they must be comparing it to a five-star city hotel or maybe a destination resort. It's not that, but it is a clean and decent place to stay while traveling for business or short-term pleasure. I believe we will stay there again next year.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

Buildings crane above one another to claim views of Central Park, a piece of real estate valued at more than $528 billion. Surprises abound in its 843 acres. The grounds include a castle, a zoo, several lakes, and an Egyptian obelisk. A city that never sleeps needs its quiet time, too: Central Park has six designated “quiet zones,” including Strawberry Fields, the monument to John Lennon.

"If you light cigars with $100 bills."
The location is excellent and you even have the subway next door if you can't find a cab. But for the life of me I cannot justify paying the price of these rooms. They are really tiny for two people (the bathrooms are large, though - go figure). The views are excellent - but then there are many other hotels with superb views that charge half as much […] . You have to have a reservation (even as a hotel guest) for the overrated hotel restaurant. The friendliness and level of service is excellent but it is not unique in New York and definetly not worth the premium. Read more
"The perfect hotel."
An elegant and comfortable hotel. Our room was spotless on the 40th floor and we had a gorgeous bath with a rain shower and tub for two with views of the city. The bed was extremely comfortable being neither too soft nor too hard. The hotel is situated in a complex at Columbus circle that includes an elegant indoor shopping mall with lovely stores and […] restaurants. The only negative to our room was that we could hear the hum of the elevators as they went by, but it was a very soft and muffled sound that lulled us to sleep. If that would bother you, request a room at the other end of the hall from the elevator bank as it is a short hall way in any case. Stayed over the night of the October surprise snowstorm and would return any time to enjoy the cultural events in the area especially in the winter. Read more
"Fly in My Salmon, Stains in the Carpet..."
I had to fly to NY for ONE NIGHT and wanted to stay in a decent place as I had a super busy schedule. I was surprised to receive a room with 2 twin beds, that was not my requested/confirmed King. I also ordered Japanese breakfast and totally lost my appetite when a baby fly came out of the salmon. I had a lousy internet connection as well, which was […] the final straw for me. And this was the hotel I spent my wedding night! I had very high expectations and was pretty grossed out. Read more

"no jeans in lobby"
Great hotel and location. They don't allow jeans in the sitting/lobby area which is off putting to wealthy granola types, or parents traveling with kids. The shower handle came off two mornings in a row - had to complain twice. The staff were super professional. Great location.

"Fabulous experience"
Lovely, tranquil hotel room in a busy neighborhood. Great service. All rooms are on high floors, but they upgraded us free of charge to a room with a Central Park view.
"It's a Mandarin Oriental !"
Like all other Mandarin Oriental hotels that I have visited, this one in New York is simply spot on! Great location, luxurious finishes, wonderfully comfortable beds and amazing service all round! I have been in the hotel business for the past 25 years and know a good hotel when I see one. The Mandarin Oriental in New York is up there with the best […] ! Read more

"Tophotel in Toplage"
