No cell phone service at all throughout the hotel. Front desk gave a lame excuse. Had to call to get an office chair in the room. Was told that not all rooms have a chair. A desk and no chair! Really? I like H.I.E. but this one was a disappointment!

This is the second time we have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and we are very satisfied. Both times were near a airport so the surrounding area is the not the greatest. Will definitely stay at one again!

We were received with a smile by Joyce who was very courteous. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The pool was dirty. There was a water leak in overhead entrance to the pool. The back entrance door would not work. As I inserted the key card the a set of AAA battery and wire fell to the ground. I went to the side entrance to try to enter the building […] and no that entrance did not open either. There was a bed bug crawling on the shower curtain the morning I checked out. I took it to the front desk in cup. Asked for a manager and reported the pest. Lidia said she would have the room sprayed. The room was a fairly typical hotel room. We requested a non-smoking room and was given one, but it smelled like smoke. The TV didn't work and the climate control unit sometimes wouldn't turn off. I booked this hotel for 2 reasons - shuttle and attached restaurant/bar. Shuttle was not available when I arrive at the airport (stops running by 10:30 pm) and the bar/restaurant was closed. Room had a musty odor.

The staff is semi-friendly. If you are near the lobby, you may experience the late night loud talking of the security guy that chats with the front desk person. If you are a light sleeper, it will not make you happy. If you are a sound sleeper, you don't need to worry about it.

I was looking for a hotel close to airport and this fit the bill. The room was large and clean the staff was helpful. The bed was too hard for my comfort ans I was not impressed with the breakfast, everything was cold. For the price, I would recommed for a short stay close to the airport.

Travel to New Orleans to watch Texans game....Hotel room had really bad scent upon entering room...Bathroom plumbing was stopped up and toilet had not been flushed from bowel movement and not cleaned from smear on toilet seat....Notified front desk and informed of issue...She sent security to verify my story because she said room indicated it was clean...Once […] security arrived and informed front desk of the horrible view of the feces the rat race began of trying to accomodate me with a different room...No manager was on duty however he was called after I demanded to speak to him....Was informed I would be upgraded to a different room when housekeeping came in at 6am to clean a room for me...Never heard from anyone,so I went to front desk at 10 am and inquired about another room..Front desk rep for the day shift had no idea what I was talking about...Finally she contacted mgr at home and with the help of the most outstanding Housekeeping manager and supervisor you would ever want to meet I was finally put in a decent room... The front desk lady is really rude and she took twenty minutes just to find our reservations. She wasn't very nice at all and should find a job where she doesn't have to deal with people as she obviously doesn't like them much.

The Ramada Inn on St James (off Airline Drive) near the New Orleans International Airport is a newish hotel, inside rooms and elevators and pretty nice. The free internet sucks though (not enough bandwidth I think for all of the useage makes it painfully agonizingly slow). Breakfast is typical of continental type breakfasts (cereal, rolls, toast, and […] instant oatmeal) but it is free. There is a good BBQ restaurant adjacent to the hotel so you don't have to go anywhere to eat a real meal at lunch or dinner time. The hotel is clean, nice outside pool area, good shampoo and soap in bathroom. Only complaint, beds are very basic non-pillowtop which are more common in mid-range hotels and up and not enough pillows but they do have double sheeting. There was one spot of peeling paint in the shower in our room but overall the bathroom was nice. Overall I'd put this Ramada in the upper 25% of their nationwide properties as there is a lot more variance in Ramada Inn's than in some other hotel chains. Thumbs up from me. Read more

Terribly disappointed with this facility. In preparation for my aunt's funeral we chose to stay at this hotel. Upon check in the receptionist and shuttle driver were nice and went out of their way to assist. However, the beds were a bit on the hard side. We had a room for 3 but towels for 2, and when we called to request additional, we had to wait they […] were washing some more. We had to leave but returned to the dirty towels on the floor, beds unmade, trash cans still full, no clean cups, and clean towels in a plastic bag by the door. We called to complain and were informed no manager on duty until Monday (this was Saturday morning). We were then instructed to throw the towels out the door if there was a problem or wait till the morning for house keeping. the following morning housekeeping approached one of us asking why we complained when we never asked them to clean our rooms. Ramada name with motel rooms. Bugs in the room, 19inch non-flatscreen tv, some of the channels would not work. The hotel looks great from the outside, but is nothing more than a cheap motel room in the inside. This Ramada is very close to the airport, so it is convenient, however, that's about all it has going for it. My room was clean, but there weren't enough towels, and upon check in I was not given a parking permit. By chance I happened to overhear another guest ask about it, so I did so. Although we had a mix-up when we checked in (they couldn't provide the specified connecting rooms) the attendant was very appologetic and courteous. Hotel is well maintained and clean. Only other issue was that both of our rooms were to be no-smoking and while they were both marked that way one of them reeked of smoke.
