The room was nice, the full bed is a little cramped when your used to a larger bed. The staff was very helpful and friendly and treated us like they were glad we were there. The shared bathrooms were clean and there were plenty so we never had to wait for one to open. I guess the stay was great other than the fact that our room was above the bar below […] and people were very loud til about 2:30 am. That made it very difficult for my wife to sleep. Other than that it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend The Ace to friends....but i would tell them to request a room away from the bar. Read more

It's an affordable convenient place to stay right in Seattle downtown, walking distance to restaurants n market center. The hotel is decent with contemporary architecture. Only one downfall is there's no bathrooms in the room. You have to use ones down the hall.

We had such a great experience at the Ace. I highly recommend this hotel! I really have to say thank you to Steven (?) for making sure I had my iPod! I accidently left it in the hotel room, but he put it in my suitcase we left in storage the last day. Everyone that works there was so friendly and awesome. Lemme break it down: Room- Comfy bed, window […] overlooking the street, sink in the room, free wifi. You even get a Brita pitcher in your room for clean drinking water. You don’t really need more than that. Cleanliness- A+. The whole hotel was super clean and nice looking Shared bathroom thing- Not a big deal. The bathrooms were always clean and available. We never had to wait. Location- Within walking distance to everything touristy. Great bars and restaurants right outside the door. A quick walk to the free downtown buses. Breakfast-Granola, waffles, toast, juice and milk (cow and soy). Basic but yummy and all you need to start the day. This is actually the second Ace that we’ve stayed at (the other one was in Palm Springs), and it’s always been a wonderful experience. A local friend recommended Ace as an affordable alternative to a nearby conference hotel. It exceeded my expectations. I could only get a shared bath. I picked a room in the hallway with several baths. It was small with a sink and an air shaft view, which worked for me since I was rarely in the room during daylight. I checked into Ace on a Friday afternoon so I could be close to pier 69 to catch an early morning whale watching tour on Saturday. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. I was extremely impressed with them. Unfortunately my room was directly above a night club so the noise was deafening until the place closed and all the partiers got off the street […] at about 3am. The room was very hot and stuffy, but I couldn't open the window because the night club noise was even louder with it open. I could find no air cond switch of any kind. I was exhausted for my tour. We had a lovely stay, my second. The hotel is very stylish and full of character. The desk clerks were so nice and helpful, offering their help loading our bags and telling us anything we needed to know about our surroundings. I've stayed here before and will stay again. Right in the heart of the city with plenty of great restaurants and shops close by. Louder at night so you'll want to either bring your favorite ear plugs, or use those provided by Ace. Shared bathroom is no big deal at all! Always plenty of clean bathrooms available. I also like the breakfast!

Ace hotel was very convenient for me, especially for a first-timer is Seattle. As a tourist, I visited the major attractions (i.e. Space Needle, EMP, Aquarium, International District, etc) and they were all within walking distance and/or a 5-15 minutes (free) bus ride. In addition, the service was good; receptionists were helpful with providing maps […] and directions to places I need to visit. I stayed in one of the room right above the bar and it was a bit noisy at night when I tried to sleep; however, the room was clean and cozy. Due to the location of the room, the kitchen was 3-floors below, which was a bit inconvenient, but bearable. Breakfast was good, especially the freshly-made waffles. I would definitely stay at Ace Hotel again when I'm in town, but will try to get a room further away from the bar. Read more

I stayed at several hotels/hostels during my trip to Seattle and Ace was my favorite. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room and hotel were so well designed. I was in one of the standard rooms and sharing the bathrooms were no problem (they even provide comfy robes!). They were very clean and spacious and I barely ran into anyone in the hallway […] even though the whole place was booked. Breakfast waffles were delicious and even though we were in a rush to check out, i made sure to get one! Only downside is that it's about a 15 min walk to the nearest lightrail station which can be inconvenient late at night or when you're rushing. The neighborhood has a alot to see though (the needle, Top Pot doughnuts, etc) and a beautiful view of the water (and short walk to Olympic Sculpture Park). The bar across the street serves pizza past midnight which saved us when everything else seemed to close so early! I will absolutely be returning next trip. Read more

Man, the Ace was a cool place to stay. I'm not really a hipster, but even so, I dug this place's personality. It has everything you'd want in a hotel and none of the things you don't need. If sharing a bathroom bothers you, this might not be the place (although by sharing they mean 5 or 7 extremely clean, private, and functional bathrooms right down […] the hall from rooms. They even give you bathrobes to make the walk). Ace is right in the heart of town, but safe and fun. Noise from the street below might be a little problem for light sleepers, so set the fan to run and drown it out with white noise. The staff are super helpful and offer great tips on the city AND a pretty tasty free breakfast in the morning. The price was significantly cheaper than anything of comparable quality in Seattle in the summer. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Read more

We arrived at the Ace Hotel at 11pm and found it to be situated in the amazing historic district of Seattle. We were greeted by Matt who immediately helped us with the bags and made us feel so welcome despite our late arrival. Although there is not a bathroom for every room, there are several bathrooms and showers in the hallway which were pristine. […] There was never a wait to use these and it did not pose a problem at all. We left for a cruise the next day with tons of asistance from Ed. He is amazing and I felt like I had known him for a long time. When we got back from the cruise seven days later they let us bring our bags back there and store them while we had another fun day in Seattle. We were able to use there computer to print our boarding passes and use the facilities. At the end of the day they called us a taxi, and once again assisted us with our luggage. This is hands down the most affordable hotel in Seattle and the coolest place to stay. If you're looking for a luxury hotel with tons of space, big TV's, and extra comforts -- do not stay here. You won't like it. But you will LOVE IT if you're open-minded, love staying at the hippest place in town, and want to be in the best neighborhood. Across the […] street you will find a Starbucks, Macina Bakery for breakfast, breads and coffee, El Gaucho Restaurant, the Big Picture movie theatre & bar, Cyclops Cafe & Bar right under the hotel, and so much more. You can walk to the Sculpture Park, Pike Place Market, and the Seattle waterfront is so close. You'll be in the Belltown neighborhood which is a quick 10-minute walk from the actual downtown part of Seattle. Belltown has much more nightlife and dining options so a much better choice than staying downtown. Yes, you will have "shared" bathrooms. By shared, you might picture dorm style bathrooms, but this it is definitely not. There are tons of bathrooms which are private rooms you can lock, which include a toilet, sink, and shower. I like privacy and cleanliness is a must for me, and I was totally happy with these bathrooms. We paid for 24 hour parking which cost $30 - steep! But if you come to town, consider public transportation. There is the light rail from the airport into town (or bus), and the bus system in Seattle is AWESOME... cheap, reliable, and easy to navigate. You won't regret staying here! We will definitely stay there next time we're in Seattle... our new favorite hotel! Read more

It was a 10 minute walk past great shops to Pike place. Another 15 to Century link. All past such history and funkiness!! The hotel was a five star in my books. So you have to walk out the door to the bathroom.....It was just 20 steps away from the roomand had a nice candle glowing all night with soft lighting in the hall.....Everything was spotless. […] The decor is very kitchy and minimal. Every room has a funky design and the bed was SOOOOO comfortable. The continental breaky was awseome and the service GREAT! I love this place and will deffinately go back ! The shower rooms were huge, spotless and could fit a family to get ready in. Just an open toilet but they were all spotless and clean and robes were also provided and a blow dryer in your room to take wit you. This hotel is soooo cool!
