Overall the hotel was clean and was very contemporary. Rooms were clean and the decor was very unique. Hotel had a free shuttle pick up and drop off to the train station at scheduled times that worked out very well for us. It was about 15-20min walk to the city center which wasn't bad for us.

Overall it was a decent hotel. The location across the river was reasonably convenient, and actually walking from the hotel into the city provides a really nice view of Florence. Great place a few steps back from the noise. It appears that someone stayed at the 'W' hotel and then passed that design along with the look of the property. Rooms were smaller than US but cool light consoles, great shower and our room had a private balcony (not all do). Great staff and excellent breakfast!

Very nice hotel not too far from the city center. We walked to the center every day (it takes ~20min), but for those who do not like to walk too much it is possible to take a bus or free hotel shuttle that goes to and from the train station (minutes away from the center) several times per day. The decor is about as wild as one can imagine. The architecture and style are one of a kind. Black walls in the hotel hallways, all lavender bathroom, LED lights embedded in the red leather headboard?, a bar with 2 bar stools at the foot of the bed (for spectators presumably?). Don't even bother with the "free wifi" - it doesn't work at all. You'll […] have to pay for the real one. Bar service was quite slow when we went there. Great breakfast though. The location across the river from the main part of Florence is actually quite convenient - walking to the Duomo is no more than 20 minutes. The neighborhood restaurants are excellent as well and mostly devoid of the tourists who have packed the other side of the river. Really wonderful hotel. All of the UNA group hotels are.....this one unlike Rome is off the beaten path, and about a fifteen minute walk to Ponte Vecchio & the Duomo. We found the locals to be unfriendly on the way to town. We would say "buon giorno" and get a dirty look or ignored in return. Odd.....Other than that, simply wonderful.

My wife and I loved this Hotel. Have a drink at the bar, the bartender Zahere was so nice that you didn't want to leave the bar. We stayed during my wifes birthday and the hotel had champagne waiting for us in the room with a card saying happy birthday. This hotel couldn't have been any better, stay here and you won't regret it.

The decor is just plain wierd, but so what. It is clean and well managed. A nice place to stay. The location is 2 to 3 km from tourist sights, so plan to walk a lot if you are tourists or you have to figure out the bus system. We like to walk. They charged 20 euro per day to park our car. A little steep I think. They tried to charge 6 euro per hour […] for wireless. I was not happy, I simply said, "Six Euro per hour? That is just not reasonable" and then I just stared at the guy, they gave me free internet. I gave a rating of 4 instead of 5 on service because they should not be charging for internet, none of the other 3 hotels we stayed at in Italy charged for wifi. The good: Its so quirky and cute. The decor is fun, the beds are comfy. And it comes with breakfast, delicious, wholesome healthy breakfast so you can eat well, eat healthy and save money on meals. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are large which is unusual for Europe. They have afternoon snacks so after a day of getting lost you can come […] back, grab some snacks and a glass of wine in the lounge or outside in the garden. Additionally you are close to everything, just a walk across the river on one of the bridges over the Arno. The bad: not really anything I can say. It's on the other side of the river so you aren't in the heart of things. That worked for me because I prefer the quiet but if you're looking to be in the thick of it this may not be for you. Although I will say its easy to cross over. My room had a hard time airing out with steam from the shower, and I noticed a bit of wood rot at the bottom of the shower because the drain didn't drain properly. The ugly: Nothing! Enjoy your stay! The UNA Vittoria is a nice enough hotel - arty, boutique- style but as with a lot of similar hotels, adding a few arty touches does not make it a great hotel. My single room was fine, a little on the small side but nothing unusual for Europe. Had all the creature comforts I needed. Breakfast was a good buffet selection. The main downsides for me were: a) […] Having to pay (a lot) for WIFI - from €3 for 30 mins, €6 for 1 hour, etc! Really? b) The location - this is a good 20 mins walk from the center. I am a good walker so I'm not complaining about a short stroll. When I booked I checked the distance on Mapquest & saw it claimed to be a 25 mins walk - but I mistakenly assumed that was probably just for slow walkers. Oh no. This is a good 20 mins walk, just to the Ponte Vecchio which is probably what most people would consider the closest part of the 'center'. You can walk a slightly more direct route to the Duomo (i.e not via the Ponte Vecchio) but it will be at least 20+ mins again. Overall, not a bad hotel, but I won't be staying again due to the location. Read more

The best part is that the hotel is located away from the immediate center of the town. So, it is quiet which is nice after spending all day walking around the chaos of downtown. I didn't mind the 15 minute fast walk to the center of town. There is also a free shuttle that runs to the railway station. The front desk and restaurant staff are polite but […] not particularly friendly. My main concern was that the furnishing in my room was too "loud". For instance, the bed was placed on a raised bright red carpeted platform. Both walls were also covered in the same red carpet. I should point out that I was travelling alone. Some couples might find it romantic. The room lighting was also a little too extreme. One of the lighting options involved a large grid of small LED lights covering both walls. There is a remote control to control the numerous lighting systems. However, strangely the room was too dark to read a book comfortably in bed even with all the lights turned on. The bed was very comfortable though. Also, the bathroom was spacious. I didn't have one of those rooms that has the shower glass door exposed to the rest of the bedroom. The room is square. Yet there is a dividing wall immediately next to the bed to create a small alcove on the other side. It is almost like a walk-in closet without the hangers. This wastes about a third of the total space. On a positive note, the included breakfast is very good. Read more

Definitely recommended. However the hotel restaurant is a bit expensive and the food was not that great. The walk to Florence historical district was a bit much too especially if you'retravelling with a family. However, the service of the staff and the ambience of the hotel bar and lobby made it it all just fine :-)

The hotel is as everyone stated, further from the main Florence city centre. it's about a 25 minute walk through very nice streets (more locals in this area). You can also use the shuttle bus service (free) provided by the hotel. I emailed them ahead of time to get their schedule (drop off and pick up at the train station). The shuttle worked for us […] in the mornings but we rarely used it in the evening as the last shuttle out of the city centre was around 6:45pm. Instead we walked back or took a cab. The hotel is north american style in terms of amenities and service. The room wasn't very big but was fine for us (two 5 foot females with 1 suitcase each). The bathroom was a good size and we got one of the rooms where the shower is open concept (no walls just a curtain closing off a small space between toilet and bidet). Breakfast was very good - eggs, meat, cheese, pastry, bread etc. There is a large market very near the hotel that sells alcohol at good prices. Definitely worth a stay as long as you don't mind some walking to get to the city centre. Read more

We stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate my 30th birthday - and boy did we do it in style! It is not centrally located, like most other hotels in Florence, but we really enjoyed staying slightly outside the main hub of key attractions and enjoyed the 15 min walk in along the river. For us, the Hotel is conveniently located for walking into the centre along the Arno. It is certainly different. It's fun to look at, gives you food for thought, but it is quite a walk away from the old city. If you don't have much time to enjoy Florence I'd say, go for a hotel that is possibly not as interesting but closer to the centre - which is after all, what Florence is about.
