First Euroflat Hotel - Brussels

A nice hotel but not luxury. No a/c in some rooms. Others have a portable a/c unit which needs to vent out the window, which normally not a problem, but it was a little warmer than normal when we were there. The bed covers are kind of worn and the mattresses a little...uh...saggy. Everyone was very kind and spoke English. The bar area was a nice hang […] out place where you can get free wifi. There is no iron in the room, but there's a laundry room where you can use an iron and full-size ironing board for free. The laundry machines are VERY expensive: 5 euros for the washer and 5 for the dryer. The dryer did not dry jeans very well. Lots of storage space and a mini-kitchen with a refrigerator that never really got cold. They installed a brand new tv while we were there. Good thing because the other quit working, but they were installing new tvs throughout the hotel. The hotel is in a great location to access EU offices. It is easily accessible to the Schuman Metro station and bus stop. It's about a 10 minute trip on the Metro to the Grand Place. Lots of restaurants and pubs very near the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised as it was quite big. It had a little kitchenette, a small refrigerator and a closet big enough as if you will be staying there for long. The room and sheets were clean but the furniture and bedding was a little dated. There isn't an air conditioner in the room but a floor fan and the internet was not working in the room so […] you had to go to the cafe on the ground floor. The location is about 4 stops away from Grand Palace but quite convenient to the European Commission building and bus to the airport (3.50 euro while a taxi ride will cost you about 30 euro). There are some restaurants nearby but they close early. There's another 15 minutes walk if you want restaurants that close after 10 PM. Overall, I was fine with the hotel. Read more

The hotel is close to the Schuman Metro station and easy to get to with the #12 or 21 bus to the airport. Just behind the European Council building in a neighborhood with lots of restaurants and pubs. Walk up the hill for a larger selection. The hotel is very near to the metro (it is a long walk to the city centre so not recommended for someone wanting to be near Grand Place or the Brussel Central Station). I booked a double bed and got two single divan beds next to each other. I stayed for two nights and my room was on the 4th floor facing the street. I could not sleep because of the pathetic blackout curtains which could not eliminate the bright orange neon lighting of the hotel. It was noisy because the air conditioning condensation tube was fed through […] the window! So I could not even close my window. Good location but hotel is lacking in the essentials. This was a private visit so I was on a tight budget. The room rate was exceptional so I did not have high expectations of the hotel. My initial reaction was good (great location, friendly reception, etc.) but the whole visit was ruined by the total lack of ventilation in the room. There was a portable A/C unit in the corner but it just made a lot of […] noise and did nothing to reduce the temperature or humidity. This was in May so the outside temperature was only about 25 degrees. The room itself was functional and clean. I could open the window but traffic and people noise was quite loud. Horrible!! Very unfriendly staff. I stayed just one night and was so happy to checkout the next morning, I left for work an hour earlier than planned. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody I know. Goes without saying that I will not stay here again. The walls/windows must be really thin because they can't block out any street noises. The Room size was exceptional which included a kitchenette...nice surprise! Rooms were clean and comfortable. For the price and the location of the hotel I would without hesitation recommend this hotel. It was close enough to walk to several different restaurants and take in the local entertainment...Bravo!

I slept very well, the bed was very comfortable. Big room ("flat") with lots of space. Hotel could use a renovation but at the end of the day you have everything you need. Unfortunately one of the coffee cups in the room was not clean, and it was not possible to fix the shower so needed to hold it in my hand whilst showering.

The staff was helpful, the room was nice, hot water working, and so it was the heater (thank God), it's close to a subway station, so in 15 minutes you will be in the city center. There are a lot of bars around, if you're interested :)

Can't say anything bad about the hotel but it didn't strike us as a four star establishment. Fine for a short stay and very close to the European Commission. Good area to stay with plenty of small bars and eating places. The bathroom was a bit old fashioned and the "self catering" description was a bit of a joke; there was a kettle, which you'd expect […] anyway, a fridge and two hot-plates. We had to ask at reception for utensils and were given two each of pans, plates, bowls and cutlery. Presumably we had to provide washing up liquid, cloths etc. A microwave would have been useful. If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel in a convenient location, this is a good choice. But surely this is not a four star hotel i expected. No AC, shower didn't work properly, the bed is uncomfortable. This place need a lift.

My room in the Euroflat was clean and spacious and the service was friendly and efficient. But in the warm weather the room got roasting hot and the air conditioning unit was too puny to cool it down - as well as being extremely noisy. So I didn't sleep very well. Install proper a/c!

I have stayed in Euroflat a couple of times before and given it location in close proximity to the European Intitutions, returned there this week. I have never been particularly impressed with the rooms (badly laid out, generally overheated with outdated decor) but this time had a very uncomfortable stay due to the fact that the hotel does not have […] air conditioning and temperatures were up to 35 degrees. The room was unbearably hot and the mobile air conditioning unit provided was completely inadequate. The fact that irons are not provided in the rooms was also irritating, obliging the guest to make a trip to the laundry room on the 2nd floor to iron clothing. While the hotel may be in an ideal location for some clients, I think there are many other better hotel options in Brussels in a similar price range which provide a much higher level of comfort. Hotellet ligger perfekt for alle anliggender i Det Europæiske Kvarter. Med Berlaymont som nabo kan man ganske enkelt ikke komme tættere. Hotellet er måske ikke det nyeste, men det har en egen charme, og det opfylder alle basale behov. Jeg har brugt det siden 1985, og jeg kommer stadig tilbage :-) Værelserne er nogle af de største i området, renligheden […] er god, morgenmaden er passende, og så har de altid lidt til den søde tand i receptionen. Das Hotel liegt nahe einer Metrostation. Man kann die Sehenswürdigkeiten Brüssels von dort aus sehr gut erreichen. Das Hotelzimmer ist übersurchschnittlich groß und sehr sauber. Für Paare, die keinen gesteigerten Wert auf ein modernes Badezimmer legen, sehr gut geeignet.

Un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. Un tarif très abordable par rapport au nombre d'étoiles. Les chambres sont spacieuses et bien insonorisées (le chauffage y est un peu fort quand même...)le métro est à 200mètres (il faut 10 minutes pour arriver au centre ville)
