The Outrigger Kiahuna plantation is in a very nice location in South Kauai. The grounds are nicely planted and there is a good beach. The condo we stayed in was considered "ocean-front," but we just had a partial view of the sea. There was no airconditioning and there wasn't much of anything to cook with in the kitchen (even salt and pepper). The condos are in a great location and service was very good. The condos are very small, however, and not very well equipped for cooking. Neither the pool or beach are close to most of the condos, necessitating a long walk or short drive to get to either. The gardens were exceptionally beautiful, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was just what we needed and just what we expected (We've been there before 10 years ago). The location is perfect. Our 5 year old had so much fun at the state beach right around the corner. We loved the beach in front of the hotel.

Kiahuna Plantation was a very beautiful property. Short walk to the beach was nice. The only complaint about the hotel is that the pool is not on the property. It is across the street at the Tennis Club and it was not very nice. So if you plan to spend a lot of time at a pool, this is not the place to do it. Stick to the beach. The Hotel was great. The first night we were in our room the location was kind of loud we were right by the restaurant and registration. We called and asked to move they were great about it and moved us to another room. The room was clean and everyone was very helpful. I loved the location and the grounds were amazing.Loved it.

The reviews of the Kiahuna Plantation are too generous. The hotel has an inexcusable shortcoming. The pool is totally inadequate for the facility. It is reminiscent of cheap motel pools. The photos of the pool are deceiving. Another major shortcoming is the lack of air conditioning. The rooms have louvered walls with screens. You need to leave the […] louvers open in order to get air flow. Open louvers, however, provide no insulation for sounds. There are lots of birds and wild chickens around the hotel. I normally like hearing the birds, but not at 5 AM. Yet, the absence of air conditioning makes it difficult to shut the louvers and the windows. The beach in front of the hotel is fine, but it is far from the condo units. The condo units managed by Castle are closer to the beach. Most days we would drive to Poipu State Park beach. That is by far the nicest beach on the island. It was just as quick to drive to Poipu State Park beach as it was walk to the beach in front of the condo units. On the positive side, I enjoyed the Plantation Garden restaurant at the hotel and the Royal Garden view is very nice. The condos actually look at a special garden that is on the side of the plantation. My recommendation would be for people to stay at a hotel with a nice pool and air conditioning. There is lots of parking for the Poipu State Beach, so you don't need to be staying right on the beach. Read more

The little bar /restaurant across the street was great, Keiko's I think it was called. The swimming in front of the hotel was good, small to large waves that kids could swim in and learn how to surf in at the same time. Many hotels in a row here so lots of people but did not feel too crowded.

We had a very nice stay at the Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation. We had one of the less expensive units in the back of the complex, but the location was still good;a little farther from the beach, but right across the street from the swimming pool and walking distance to the Poipu shopping center and Poipu beach. I was a little worried about the fact that the condo had no a/c, but it had no impact on us. We enjoyed a gentle breeze and the sounds of nature coming through the screens. Kiahuna Plantation Condominium Resort deserves the best ratings on everything.We had an amazing 7 days here /too short/. The property is conveniently located in a beautiful tropical settings. The garden well maintained and gorgeous with a lots of beautiful plants and pretty birds. The beach area very nice, with clean very fine sand on the end of the […] property. A few minutes walk from any of the unit 0-3 minutes away. The pool is the other side of the road, we had no problem to walk there, about 5 minutes from our unit . Shopping also across the road. If you love nature this is the place for you. If you looking for crowd I recommend you go somewhere different . It exceeded our expectations. We want to to go back again for a longer vacation. We stayed at Kahuna Plantation for our honeymoon 18 years ago. We brought our 2 teenage children with us this time. We have vacationed on 9 cruises, including the Mexican Riviera, the Caribbean (Eastern, Western and Southern),and Alaska. Our children both said this was their favorite vacation. The condo was beautiful and the beach was perfect. The garden […] is lit at night with tiki torches and it is fantastic to stroll through it and enjoy the lovely flowers and fountains. It is conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. Aloha Surf school is located in tents on the beach daily. Our 14 year old daughter took the surf lessons and was riding the waves in no time. This was definitely a memory maker. I would highly recommend this as a vacation destination for anyone. Read more

I started going to the Kiahuna Plantation about 25 years ago. It was a wonderful, relaxing, remote condo at that time. Now, there are large hotels surrounding this bucolic condo facility, but the charm remains. If you want someone delivering drinks with umbrellas while you lie by a large pool, this is not the place for you. If you want lots of gift […] shops and fancy spa services, this is not the place for you. If you never want to hear/see your fellow vacationers, this is not the place for you. If you want to be served by large numbers of wait-staff, this is not the place for you. If you like to dress in fancy clothes and go to the bar at night, this is probably not the place for you. If you want a nicely maintained (but not especially fancy) condo with gorgeous large lawns and convenient bar-b-ques, a pretty, small, sandy beach, good snorkeling, a decent (not great and a bit expensive) restaurant, a pleasant staff and helpful concierge, then this is the place for you. I recommend that you upgrade your room from the basic package on Expedia. The basic room puts you in a remote condo that doesn't take advantage of the truly beautiful landscaping at the facility. With a 3 star rating, I was expecting a somewhat tacky resort (similar to the 3 star hotel we stayed at in Waikiki) but I was pleasantly mistaken by the Outrigger Kiahuna! Our condo was tastefully decorated and clean and the resort grounds are perfectly manicured and beautifully situated on the beach. My only complaint would be the construction work […] that was happening in the condo below us.... We enjoyed our stay very much, we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom condo which was amazing! Very clean and comfortable space. Easy access to beach. Exceeded expectations. Only thing we didn't care for was the pool being across the road. Expected more than one pool with so many buildings. But were usually at beach so not a big concern.

We had unit 60, which was owned by a couple of clearly take pride in their condo. It was very inviting, and had EVERYTHING that you could wish for - a full kitchen with appliances, body boards and snorkel gear for the sea, music and DVDs for entertainment in the evening. Absolutely wonderful. We didnt want to leave!!

Came to Kaui for the soul purpose to relax. We did just that and more, The staff was incredilbly knowledgable and friendly. We could always count on the staff to recommend the various activities Kaui had to offer. Great fine dining and beautiful sunsets to end the day. Mycket bra och fint lägenhetshotell, mycket välskött och välutrustade lägenheter. Bodde här med min dotter i 5 nätter och gjorde fina utflykter. Bra med gratis parkering och en liten affär tvärs över gatan. Vill man inte laga maten själv så finns det bra resturanger inom gångavstånd. Vi är familj med två barn 6, 9 år. Mycket nöjda med en vecka här efter att ha bott på 5 andra 4-5 stjärnuga hotell under en månad på Hawaii öarna. Hotellet har absolut bästa läge i Poipu på mycket fin trädgårsomtåde precis vid stranden. Poolen besökte vi aldrig, den ligger avsides. Poipuのコンドには何度か泊まりましたが、このコンドはいい部類だと思います。 しかしLAN環境には不満が残りました。有線のみでしたし、それも1-2度繋がったあと、1週間使えない状況が続きました。近くのスタバのWIFIでなんとか凌ぐことはできました。フロントは接続業者のせいとして、自ら対応することはありませんでした。
