"This hotel gives fruit basket for positive reviews"
Overall it was good stay. But the hotel authorities do not need to bribe guests to write reviews. The hotel is overall good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our biggest problem is that we were traveling as a family with my elderly mother and chose this hotel for what appeared to be comfort [large space] and airconditioning in the summer. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and although we were promised a unit with a balcony, instead were put in a basement/first level unit with no breeze and no AC. Even after […] complaining [nicely at first] they had limited assistance and no where to move us to.Residential neighborhood which was nice but felt very far afield from major attractions and action. Great location, noisy rooms, Internet in our room did not work well and did not get fixed after reporting it to the main desk for all the duration of our trip.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Strategic location and friendly hotel staff."
Strategic locations, very nice and friendly hotel staff. The only limitation is on the room space (limit me to bring push chair into hotel room). But, it is very nice family hotel. I will definitely come back to this hotel on the next trip.Genuine Expedia guest review
"prestige prices with budget services"
no air conditioning, very hot and uncomfortable,no guidance on workings of electrical in room, no ice because ice machine broken but not fixed, cost of computer useage outrageous, maid service too late in day, no wash clothes, no alarm clock, no listing of available tv channelsGenuine Expedia guest review

"Right spot for families!"
We loved this spot. Staff were so amazingly helpful when I found I had tried to wiggle too many into 2 rooms. Even during busy Olympic week they made a stressful situation easy by assisting in arranging the right rooms for us. Near two underground stations, Kensington Park and Diana's playground and lots of great eating and shopping. Breakfast was substantial […] and tasty. Laundry service. "Decent value for family"
We had the 4 person room - 1 bedroom separate very nice. 2nd bedroom attached to kitchen. worked fine for us...not glamorous. we were in the basement so not as much light. hotel about 5 mins away from subway in a decent area with some shops and a couple of pubs. good electronics in the room and good bathroom. hotel lobby kind of worn and a lot of commotion […] always (we stayed during the London Olympics so maybe not always this way.) We would consider staying there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Would book it again in the future!"
The hotel was very convenient. It was near a lot of shops, restaurants, and tube stop (Bayswater). It also felt like it was in a safe neighborhood; walking late at night was no problem. The room was spacious although layout was different from pictures shown here in the website. We had two sub-rooms; one for sofa/kitchen/dining and one for bedroom/bathroom. […] All pictures show an open space layout, not two separate rooms. Upkeep was good. For some reason though, our room wasn't cleaned after the first day but did not have that problem on all other days (we were there for 9 days). They offer continental breakfast for 9 pounds but we did not try it; there are a lot of supermarket & breakfast places nearby so we would usually grab something on our way to the tube. They even have laundry service. I wish I didn't pack so much clothes and used their laundry service instead. Overall, I liked my stay in Grand Plaza Apartments and will book it again when I come back to London (hopefully in a couple of years!). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location"
We stayed in a family room that was recently updated. All the appliances worked and the kitchen had what we needed. The two sofa beds were comfortable for our boys, who are tall, but would be a little tight for two unless your children are younger. Service at the front desk and cleaning the room was excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very comfortable hotel for families"
Great location and wonderful staff. Breakfast was included in our stay, and was very good. Our only complaint was the lack of air-conditioning, which made part of our stay rather uncomfortable. However, each bedroom did have a fan which did help.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel in a good location"
I was staying with my mother and son. We asked for a room for 3 adults. They gave us a suite with an heating/airconditioning unit in each room. This was important as London was very hot during our stay. The rooms were large and we had a kitchette. Only the bathroom was at a 3 star standard, the rest was 4 star. The staff spoke at least five languages […] as we met front desk staff from Arabia, Italy, Spain, Poland, and the UK. The hotel is on a quiet street but only two blocks from the high street (shopping and resturants). Kensington Gardens are only 3 blocks away as is Bayswater Tube Station. We were very pleased with our stay as the hotel was better than the 3 star rating. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Too expensive for what you get."
the LG (lower ground) is very dissappointing. We asked our room to be changed, there was no light coming from outside because the room was in a basemant. The room inside although its ok, the decoration is ok too. But, the carpet from outside the rooms were in a default state, really not good at all. The staff its ok, not too kind, however not bad. SOMETHING […] VERY IMPORTANT its that the photos from the hotel of the rooms in their own web page and in Expedia are totally different. Its true that on the internet everything looks better but when i entered the room for the first time i really felt cheated. Its not cheap so what you get its not what you desserve. In sum, the relation between quality and price its not good. I would not recommend this hotel for the quality-price, however i would recommend it for its location, very good neighborhood. "Nice Location"
Located in a nice area - about 5-10min. walk to the nearest train station. They gave us a big fruit basket at check in which was great. Breakfast food was repetitive - cereal, cold cuts, eggs, yogurt, croissant, slice bread, but there's always fresh stock of fruits which was nice. They provide free 1 load of laundry service. Lots of restaurants, & souvenir […] shops nearby. Only 5 min, walk to Whitely shopping center. About 15-20min. walk to Kensington Garden /Kensington Palace. The bed were just two twin beds put together - not too comfy but room is big (there's 5 of us so we were in a room that could occupy 6) - there's stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher. There are kitchen utensils. Hallways in the hotel itself is very narrow - only 1 person could walk at one time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good location"
We were placed in the basement of the hotel as we were told there no other rooms available. I was awoken at 2 am with rattling noise from our room from people upstairs stomping around and again at 4 am with the same noise. In addition, there were people oustide on the street arguing in between that time. The air conditioners in the room did not work. […] With 2 children, the rooms were cramped but clean. The location was good as it was close walking distance to a subway stop. Maybe if we had a different room and quiet neighbors than our opinion might have been different. "Good family friendly apartment"
The staff of this hotel were hard-working and did their best to meet our needs. The rooms were really sufficient for our needs, as we had two adults and three teens. We had our own double bed bedroom, with wardrobe, night stands, ironing board, iron, flat screen television, and hair dryer. There were two double beds in the main room, and another tv, […] with dvd player. There was excellent, free Wi-fi in all our rooms. There was a dining room table, and a full kitchen to include refrigerator (no freezer), stove top, dishes, pots and pans, dishwasher and microwave. For us, the best service was to be able to drop off our laundry on site with Helena and get it done in six hours. The maids did a good job, but the place needed a deep cleaning. The carpet was funky (but it was vacuumed) and a bad odor hung in the air of our room and bathroom (I suspected an unauthorized cat had sprayed the room). Even though I complained about it several times, nothing was done. If the smell wasn't so bad, and if things were more sparkling clean, I would rate it higher. We were in a third floor room, with a spiral, narrow staircase, which may be a real pain for maid service to haul up all their equipment. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great option if you are looking for affordability"
We were a bit surprised by the width of the hallways - but since the building is over 100 years old, I guess that is how they did things back then. We went as a family, so the two rooms were the bedroom and the other room with a fold out bed. Both rooms had doors, so it worked fine. The kitchenette was handy, and the bathroom was beautiful. For the […] price we paid we fell very good about the hotel, as we compared very carefully. The second bed was a futon, and was hard... but my kids are pretty agreeable, so they did not complain. Location was very nice, close to The Underground (subway) and the one tour we did picked us up there - it worked out very nice -- We were very close to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park - if you are a runner, as I am, that was amazing!! All in all, we were quite pleased when considering the price point.. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bad Hotel For Family"
Good - Breakfast is good, location is good Bad - We went here for the suite since we need to sleep 3 adults and two children. The suites have one room with either two singles or a single queen and another room with two fold out couches, a dining room table and a kitchen. The fold out couches were terrible and made the stay uncomfortable. The air conditioner […] was needed as the upper floors got hot at night and it smelled really bad. The carpet was also very dirty. I do not recommend this hotel if you need to use the fold out couches. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A Really Comfortable Stay"
Very convenient, reasonable, and comfortable hotel. Located between Bayswater and Paddington, this was a great location for business in London. Lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. "Great hotel for Paddington station"
Its not really an apartment, more a studio/hotel room with a microwave, but very nice all the same. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly and the whole place was very clean and comfortabl. "Great find in London"
First of all, the room was pretty large by London standards. We have 2 young kids (2 and 5), so the space was very welcome. The bed was adequately comfortable, but the sofa bed was pretty hard for adults. I'd recommend this for families but not necessarily for a group of 4 adults if you need comfortable beds for all. The staff is helpful and very friendly, […] and there is stroller parking in the lobby. Tons of kids but not noisy at all. Laundry on premises with the added bonus of a drop-off service. I'd skip the breakfast as there are plenty of places within walking distance that are cheaper (Pret a Manger, Costa or Caffe Nero). Great location near the Princess Diana Memorial Kids Park, good restaurants, and two tube stops with easy access to all of London. Easy bus ride to Regent's Park and the kid-friendly museums in South Kensington. For the price, service and space we'll be back for sure. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel, Close to public transportation"
Located in a quiet street close to the Bayswater tube station, the easiest way is to turn left out of the station and turn left at the first traffic light; the hotel is several blocks up on the right. We arrived early morning and they had a secure luggage room for our bags until check in time. We were given a basement apartment, however it was bright […] and cool especially since we had arrived in a heat wave. The room was a comfortable size by European standards. A fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster and coffee pot. A small supermarket is located on the other side of the tube station, with a good selection of breakfast foods. In addition to the comfortable bed there were adequate storage cabinets for clothes and a small safe to store passports, tickets etc. A couch and desk with chair finished out the furnishings. Flat screen TV and DVD player were good. The bathroom contained a good sized combination tub and shower. The staff were friendly and helpful, booked attractions and offered suggestions. We stayed for 5 days before going to Paris, the free laundry service (1 load) was invaluable for those like us who pack light. The room was always neat and clean and the cleaning staff unobtrusive. The area about the Bayswater tube is a busy mixed neighborhood, there are many restaurants and pubs nearby offering a wide variety of local and ethnic foods at reasonable prices. We were very pleased with the hotel and will definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"What I thought of the hotel"
The staff and housekeeping are excellent, they go overboard to try and give you all you ask for.The laundry service was really good. But;in the room the carpet's were all frayed no toilet roll holder in the bathroom,it seemed like your were in the middle of remodelling and then gave us the rooms. "Awful hotel. Buyer beware!!"

"Very strange indeed"
The room was in the back of the main hotel. It seemed like a make shift room. Carpeting was dirty. The kitchen and bathroom were clean. Bed was comfy. But the living room was not inviting and I wanted an apartment style which is what I requested. But there was a bed in the living room which was strange. The windows did not lock and a kid tried to crawl […] through the window into my room. "Great stay"
This is a great option if you want an apartment instead of a typical hotel. It was nice to have a kitchen, and extra space at a reasonable price comparatively. It is very close to the underground, with direct link to all the sights, and the neighborhood was very safe and pretty. There were many great food options within a few block radius and within […] 5 to 10 min walk to Hyde Park. I was also impressed with how quiet the rooms were. We were on the first floor right next to reception and it was still very quiet in our room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
