"The Good and Bad of the Super 8 Moab- March 2015"
The Moab Super 8 both met and didn't meet certain expectations based on my one night stay Friday, March 20th. It was a race weekend, with thousands of half marathon runners in the city and many had rooms at the Super 8 that evening for Saturday's race. The one positive experience I had was when we arrived Friday at 11:30am and were able to get our room […] earlier than the stated 3:00pm check-in time. The man who I assume was the day shift manager seemed half annoyed about my question, but I got the room earlier still. It just seemed like more a burden to him to complete my basic request is how I felt. No "thank you" after completion of check-in from him either, even after I myself said thank you to him. This guy wasn't really the problem compared to when we returned from our day's trips out hiking and climbing. At that time, there were about 3-4 young women running the front desk now. I could tell that they were high school related age, which to me was part of the problem. For instance, they all seemed to be bothered by any question I or I saw other guests asking. When my friend asked if they by chance any ibuprophen, to which one of the young ladies snapped at him with a "no." later, when we asked where the spa towels were, they snapped again and pointed their finger and said, "over there!" So in my honest opinion, the Super 8 Moab could use improvement in the customer service area of their operations. Considering the fact I paid $227.00 for one night there. "The service sucks"
The girl at the reception table was extremely unfriendly. She didn't even explain how everything works and didn't even look at my face. The location was pretty cool and nice, six minute to the entrance of the Arches National park, and just besides the hotel there is a Denny's restaurant which is really convenient for the late night arrivals.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Moab Canonland half marathon was what we were there for. Overall stay was comfortable and pretty quite. Would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worse experience ever"
Very bad service at the reception. No restroom at hotel lobby. The reply from the receptionist was "every hotel room is provided with toilet, there is no reason to provide restroom at the lobby". Breakfast was boring and limited choice. No reason for me to go back to the hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"What a fiasco!"
This hotel was a big disappointment! I expected very little from a Super 8 and got even less than I expected. The beds were double - not queen as advertised. The room was poorly designed and cramped. The toilet didn't flush right, the breakfast was less than most and the eating area was way too small for the number of rooms. I talked to the manager […] about the bed size and toilet issue, and his response was, "I don't care. It doesn't affect my job." That sums up what is wrong with this hotel. Very overpriced for what you get! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Incredible for the Money"
Incredibly re-done rooms, immaculate cleanliness, perfect stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Fine, Parking Awful."
Our stay was fine and the room served its purpose. We went to Moab to be outdoors but didn't want to camp. The only major negative was the parking. Other hotel guests had big trailers and motorcycles parked in the stalls and each night when we came back there was never any place to park my Ford Focus. Probably would not be my first choice next time […] but would stay here if I had to or was trying to stay within a budget. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay for the money!"
We stayed at the hotel for a week! Went out for Outerbike event. It is a little distance from downtown Moab, but it is walkable if you have to! They are 1 mile from the Arch National park! Breakfast was okay! Pool was open! Would definitely recommend it to s Friend! Rooms were clean!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place- Bad management"
The hotel itself was clean and the rooms nicely furnished. A large LCD TV was cool. The real problem is the off season staff staying at the hotel. They were really loud at night, drinking, slamming doors for the 3 nights I was there. Unprofessional to put guests so close to them if they are not supervised.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Not bad. Room is clean and accessible parking lot. Can't complain. Breakfast is so so.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great value (off-season stay)"
Nice new room with comfortable bed. In-room WiFi drops every 45 minutes then difficult to reconnect, but good speed when you are connected (so that dropped my rating for hotel service…)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great place and priceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel decent, management not."
Night manager not helpful or accommodating... Hotel was not busy, low season and mid week stay. When requesting a change from a room with 2 queens (with a pass through door adjacent to a room with crying young infant children) the manager said rooms were available but a change to a king room (which we had stayed in 2 nights prior for the same rate) […] couldn't be provided without an additional charge as we had booked via Hotels.com. Explaining the situation and the night before stay had no impact and he remained ambivalent. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A nice stay, a really good breakfast"
We stayed for 2 nights. Room was very nice, clean and we could choose the room temperature. We could make tea and coffee and the breakfast both mornings was very good! Only thing I was not fan about was staff - they could be a little more friendlier.. still, I really recommend!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice stay for the price"
We enjoyed our stay while visiting Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. We were surprised by the laminate wood floors, but it was still pretty cozy. The two downsides were the fridge in our room froze most of our vegetables, even on the bottom shelves and in the door, and every morning someone would burn toast downstairs, which filled the entire second […] floor with the terrible burned smell. Overall, for the winter rate, we enjoyed the stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for a quick getaway"
We drove into town near check-in time and there were 4 staff members helping. We happened to get the young guy unable to smile or be mildly pleasant. His lack of interest was an immediate putoff. I wasn't thrilled that the hotel has a credit card imprint (rather photocopy) policy. I was notified via the 1990s plaque on the wall. I'm sorry, but we are […] in 2015. This should not be a requirement. It made me uneasy, and I'm sure I'll be watching my CC statement like a hawk for a while. The motel also has a $50 deposit/hold which is fine, a standard procedure for some. However, when I put a CC on file - the point is that you can in fact charge incidentals if necessary not treat me like a debit card holder. (Stuck up point, I know.) Last point on the staff was the fact the kid just said you're in the corner room. Um, okay? A little more direction would be nice. I went into 3 entrances to find the room. The room was clean and comfortable, no frills. The rooms had that faux wood/linoleum which is actually a good thing for motels. Everything was clean and there was even a fridge and microwave. We dont often stay where there is either, since they want to often promote their bar/restaurant etc. Downfall was you had to figure out how to turn on the fridge by moving it from its nook and tilting it to find the on switch. Awesome. Perfect for a quick overnight stay like ours was. It was right outside of the Arches National Park which was a bonus to us. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was nice especially for the price. Breakfast was packed everyday it would be nice if there was more tables and chairs. It would also be nice if they included some sort of meat with breakfast. But for free who can complain? Overall our stay was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average Place to Lay Your Head"
Overall this hotel was very "meh". Not bad, but not great. This was our fourth year heading to Moab over President's Day weekend and the hotel we typically stay at was not an option this time around (price). We decided to give the Super 8 a try. The staff seemed relatively disinterested in the guests (time of year maybe?) but if you asked them for help […] they were friendly enough and quick to respond. It was clean enough and the north-end location makes it closer to Arches NP, Canyonlands NP, Dead Horse SP and some of the mountain biking in the area... IMPORTANT: this hotel has a 'no bikes in room policy' (in addition to a no pets policy). I understand not wanting muddy mountain bikes in the rooms, but the policy should be placed online to make potential guests aware (we would have found somewhere else to stay). We found out on our third day that the hotel has a reasonably secure bike corral just outside by the pool - no one on staff mentioned this to us, but we would certainly have used it. For right now, neither the pet nor bike policy seem to be strictly enforced... We were expecting the 2 queen bedroom that we'd booked, but when we arrived we were given a cramped, but clean, room with 2 twin beds. Due to our bike situation we didn't complain. The breakfast selection seemed okay - we only stopped in for coffee since we'd brought our own food. All in all, it's an okay place to stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything was great!"
Everything was, in fact, perfect. I hate to say this, but this hotel is a Super 8, so my expectations were low. However, I was quite pleasantly surprised. It was clean, quiet, the rooms had recently been renovated so they were nice. The mattresses were comfy. The bathroom didn't reek. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Highest marks to this Super […] 8. I love Moab, so I'll be staying here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Closed pool and hot tub"
Not the most friendly front desk staff. All advertising points to a pool and hot tub yet neither were open while we were there so watch out!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean and comfortable; breakfast area was a little small, but sunny and pleasant; close to destination (Arches)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to everything"
Close to trails and the town. Not much in the way of a breakfast. For the price, can't complain.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great stay without hassle and exactly as expected. Second time to stay there and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel room was nice and clean. Liked the laminate floorsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall good. The hotel still requires a deposit and puts a hold on your credit card even though I prepaid on Hotels com. Wouldnt have been a problem if they had told me so I could have planned accordingly. But was not happy finding out after the fact and the hotel clerk credit card hildbeing very argumentative and mean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I thought this hotel was very nice especially for the price!!! We were able to get multiple rooms by each other!!! The breakfast was okGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"we will stay there again"
nice stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel was very close to Arches National Park. Moab is an amazingly beautiful area. The breakfast was decent. The only slightly negative issue would be that the staff weren't as pleasant as you would expect them to be.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Spacious and well appointed sparkling clean room! Very friendly and welcoming staff. A very good value for a very reasonable rate!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything was great except the towels!"
Everything about this hotel was great given the price and its location. The person at the front desk was extremely helpful. The only one complain: the towels were not clean. In fact one of them had hair from previous user.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place to stay in Moab."
The staff were very friendly, and took care of us as needs arose. The continental breakfast was pretty skimpy, though. Really liked the cleanliness of the room, and the hard flooring in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very clean. Great for the rate. Breakfast OK but the oatmeal was the prepackaged type - I prefer the real thing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Room was nice, breakfast was bad."
The service staff was nice/pleasant. The breakfast was sad. Not very good at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything is good except breakfast"
Very clean and comfort. Good venue to get Arches National Park. But Breakfast is too simple.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is a great value for the money. Much better than most Super 8 properties.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, quiet and friendly."
I stayed four nights and had a great stay. The guy who checked me in was friendly and helpful. The room, a double, was large and comfortable. Wifi, micro/fridge all worked well. One big plus: wood laminate floors. Hotel carpets are notoriously dirty and rarely shampooed, so it was nice walking on a floor that was at least as clean as my home. I saw […] housekeeping wet-mopping some floors, so that was even nicer. The hotel was also quiet, perhaps because it was the off-season. Whatever; I'll take it. Bottom line, a solid property. Staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room was super clean and had no unpleasant odors. Very comfortable and spacious place.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Super 8"
Great room for a Super 8, very nicely appointed room, if a bit small with the two queen beds. I would have never known it was a Super 8, furnished much more nicely than others that I've stayed at in the past. The motel is a bit far from the center of town, but that's the only drawback. Desk service was very curtious and quick.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Continently located hotel."
Stayed here for a night and fount it to be quite pleasant and reasonable. The staff were friendly and the rooms were nice and warm. Hardwood floors though. It had all the necessary amenities and continental breakfast although I'd recommend skipping that for some other locally available options.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would Stay Again"
Everything was fine on our stay at Super 8 Moab. No complaints. It wasn't fancy, but for the price I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would stay again"
very clean, loved the hard floors in the rooms....clean. would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to everything"
I like the hotel with its wood flooring. The room is clean. However, you can hear the people walking on the floor above you. There is no noise barrier on the floor. But everything else is ok. BTW, the toilet clogged and we were given something to pump it. The guy said he can't do it cause he is alone in the front desk. Funny!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
Fine for 1 night passing through.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A super Super 8"
Hardwood floors were nice. Rooms were renovated, clean, good. WiFi was a little slow but good enough for emails and simple browsing. Breakfast was crowded, but it was Thanksgiving weekend. Food was laid out well, fully stocked, and segregated by stations. Nearby to Arches and Canyonland National Parks.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A bold new look and feel that works!"
Family of four with older teens in adjacent room. We loved the wood floors, the updated decor, and the high end television. Very comfortable. The look would be complete if they replaced the cold and too bright compact fluorescent bulbs with some warm LED's instead. The fridge in one room was not working. I heard it was standing room only for breakfast, […] so go early. Otherwise, the front desk attendant was cheery and we enjoyed our stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK hotel, very bad breakfast"
This hotel is OK. Room is big, clean and comfortable. Room facility is good, but the hotel facility is NOT good. This is a very big hotel with hundreds of rooms, but there is only ONE small hot tube. I guess the water in the hot tube is not clean which has been heavily used by so many guests. The wifi is very bad. I can only get connected at late night. […] No wifi for majority of the time. The breakfast is simple, at low quality and no meat or eggs at al. They only offer cheap bread, milk, coffee and some instant wheat meal. Do not consider they include breakfast when you see the price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Moab Hotel"
The staff that was there at check-in was not very helpful AT ALL! The young man did not know the answer to a single question that I asked, including one as simple as why he was asking me to initial the receipt. The next day, the staff were awesome, though! The hotel was VERY clean and the room itself was awesome! I was super impressed!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
