It looks like an order B&B but in reality it's very new, almost like staying at a nice Hampton Inn but they bring you breakfast in the morning. I went to Napa for work and did not really have the time to go around and explore the area. However, the hotel was very nice and clean and it was one of the less expensive options. They provide free breakfast, free wifi, and wine tasting every day 5-7 p.m. I would stay there again if I ever need to go back to Napa.

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were nice, bed was very comfortable with the softest sheets I think I've ever slept on! Breakfast in the morning was simple but very good. The wine and crackers in the evening was also a very nice treat. It was a Thursday night so there weren't a lot of guests, but I had my share of wine & cheese! We stayed overnight to catch a show at the Uptown Theater and we're pleased with the overall experience. There was a nice wine and cheese serving when we arrived and the room was very nicely appointed. There is street traffic as others have commented however by 9pm the traffic is non-existent as is the subsequent noise. It is about a mile to downtown […] so about a 20min walk or a less than 5min drive. If being closer is important to you then book one of the downtown hotels with the corresponding higher room rate. The check in process was horrible. We showed up at 8PM on a Friday night and the hotel was closed. We could not get into the hotel because the door was locked. Sign on the door stated to use phone attached to wall next to the door. Called number and was told keys were in a lock box and gave us a combination to open it. It took us 7 times to get it correct […] and get our keys. Walked in and no one there to greet us explain on rooms etc. Once again this was 8PM on a Friday night. Hotel was decent but it made the whole experiences a downer. I could almost understand if it was really late but 8PM on a weekend and no one there to help us just shows they don't care about customer service. Read more

Hotel was cute and clean , obviously independently owned and operated. Our room was very nice but located next to the elevator (noisy) and quite chilly with a window blower heater, not the gas stove in the photos. After the first night we asked for another room which was provided for additional fee. Second room much better, located on the 2nd floor, […] but could benefit from additional, noise cancelling insulation between floors. Beds very comfortable and our upstairs neighbors were definitely enjoying themselves! Price is excellent for the area and the amenities/services. Breakfast in bed is included and was more than enough for us (some reviews say the breakfast was small). We stayed at this hotel 3 years ago and have been looking forward to returning ever since. We enjoy the breakfast in bed and the afternoon wine and cheese event very much! The staff is very helpful. the first time we had a first floor garden room, but this time we were on the second floor and our room was right by the stop sign and the traffic noise […] was terrible at all times of the day! There is a race shop across the street on the other side of our room, so perhaps that is some of the loud muffler sounds. Bel Abri is a very classy place to stay. Free wine tasting and cheese in the lobby and breakfast served to you in the morning--doesn't get any better than that! The rooms were elegant. My only minor complaint is to have the wine from 5-8 or 4-7 instead of 5-7. Besides that, a great experience.

Our room had an armoire to hide the television, which I appreciate because it's not what I want to see while on vacation. There was also a fireplace, a patio with bistro table and chairs (it was surrounded with hedges to give some privacy. Breakfast was delivered on a pretty blue and yellow printed tray. When we checked in we were told we got the last room and that it was next to an elevator that might wake us up at night. To make matters worse, the lock on our door did not work well which made us worry each time we went out whether we would be able to re-enter the room. Although the hotel had wireless internet, there were no instructions for that in […] the room. We did manage to get a password from the clerk before he left the hotel at 8:00 PM, but it didn't work. The TV also did not work until we got a separate remote from the clerk. The breakfast was very nice, but is delivered within a 45 minute window that suits the hotel's schedule and not the guest's. On the good side, the room was fairly spacious and nicely appointed. The hotel is situated near the highway, but a 5 minute drive from the Napa business district with nothing within short walking distance. Read more
