Our stay was nice, but the indoor hot tub was out of order, the wifi was really slow in our room and we wanted to order a pizza Friday night and no one at the hotel resterant had a car to deliver!!!! If there are times that they cant deliver then they should not advertise it in all the rooms!!!!

This was my first stay at Treetops for training offered by the State of Michigan. I booked my room on line and it made the check in very smooth.The staff at the Treetops is very friendly and concerned for your comfort. I am sure I will be back.

The only complaint I have with our stay at Treetops was there was no water pressure in the shower, The water only dribbled out. Plus the fact that the hand held shower head was too low, too small and ineffective for a typical shower. Neither door lock was effective but maintainance fixed it immediately. Treetops was suppose to be the start of our trip to Mackinaw Island. The hotel needs upgrading. There was no room service, no rental of movies on the tv for the kids at night. Had to get movies from the front desk. The pool was closed, so we had to drive the kids over to the other hotel pool. The water faucet would not shut off, called the front desk […] who had someone show us how to shut the water off (had to turn it just right!) Great for golf, but don't go for anything else! We have stayed here several times and usually really like it, they are in the process of some long over due updates. This stay when we booked we were planning on using the pool which is one that goes indoors and out but when we arrived they told us the pool was closed that we would have to go over to the Inn if we wanted to used the pool. We could have […] spent less money on the room if we had wanted to go to the Inn. We were very disappointed in that and that there was no mention of it on Hotels.com when we purchased the room. Also they put us in a room facing the parking lot and the air conditioner is not yet turned on so we had to open the windows and it was loud. The hotel was not that busy so they could have put us in another room when we first got there. We did not ask to move as we already had all our stuff unpacked. Ther are trying to fix up the resort which is good as they have a gem and it was ready for some paint and sprucing up. Read more

The Lodge is a nice property even if the rooms are dated, the indoor and outdoor pool were out of service but one could use the pool at the Inn close by if you wanted. Nice indoor hot tub, and sauna! We didn't eat at the restaurant at the hotel but the menu looked ok. The bigger rooms have a microwave and fridge/sink,coffee maker we brought our own […] small plug in electric cook top/sandwich toaster so we could heat up chili, toasted sandwiches ect for the evening and come back for lunch if we wanted. Saying that the cafe on the hill is just fine for a simple lunch and not too expensive either. There is free skiing after 4 PM on some Thurdays and a free group ski lesson so I availed of that and found it a good way to get used to the terrain/lift system ect. It is a good resort for beginners with some easy runs, central lift area so it is pretty easy to keep track of everyone. Good efficient shuttle that picks up every 15 minutes or so. Lifts only start at 10.00 AM which is a little late in my opinion. We were lucky that we had some fresh snowfall so the conditions were powdery which made it a nice change for a Michigan ski experience! Overall, the staff at both the hotel were very friendly and helpful and the ski school was well organized. There seemed to be a good crew of instructors and Keith seems to be a particularly good instructor. The resort itself is an easy drive from Metro Detroit area. They have on site child care and some kids programs ( non skiing) as well, and the care is reasonably priced. Read more

The Inn is very moderate at best. Rooms were clean but out dated by a couple of decades. The Jones course and the Fazio course were fantastic. The courses are well run and in great condition. Legends was a great place to eat.

This property is in serious need of an update. From the dull and medicinal smelling hallways, to sleeping rooms with peeling (dark green I might add) bathroom fixtures, stained ceiling tiles and soiled carpets it screamed "get me out of the 80's". All this was topped off by a steady stream of water falling from one of those stained celing tiles in the […] morning as the person in the room above showered. Manners seem to be lacking too since neither the maintenance man nor the front-desk clerk offered an apology for the inconvenience. The golf doesn't make up for the poor lodging experience. the lodge were we are staying smell old carpet, they have jacuzzi in the room but afraid to deep in because it does not look clean, in fact the bathroom by the sink, on top of ceiling where leaking,I was surprised when I brushed my teeth, my hair got wet.

I spend 6 months of the year in hotels and am generally forgiving, but this property was atrocious. That being said it could have been the building I was in. This is a multi-building resort and the building I stayed in was called the Inn. First thing that hit me was the smell...awful. I can deal with the "every hotel smell". You get used to that, but […] this smell blew me over and stuck with my clothes after I left. I assume it was from the circa 80's carpet. Perhaps the main lodge building has been refreshed but I will refuse to stay in the Inn building ever again. The staff was amazing, the room was not. We were disappointed to find a very dated room with beat up walls, old furniture, with small and VERY hard beds. It was hard to see the 19" television which had a broken remote control. The carpet was worn out and the shower curtain was questionable. The hallway to get to the room was cluttered and barely wide […] enough for 2 people to pass. Here is what was nice: 1. The staff was great. 2. The room smelled nice. 3. The bedding, although dated, was comfortable and smelled nice. 4. The light bulbs worked. 5. There was running water. Hotel was good. The staff is very friendly. The slopes, ski teachers, restaurants, rental of ski equipment were perfect. Housekeeping was horrible! Stay- over rooms not cleaned! Jet tube was extreme dirty and after asking to be clean was still dirty. Not all dirty towels were changed! Good winter vacation if you don't care about cleaning.
