a quiet, comfortable room with good beds and a standard hotel room layout/decor. Lobby sitting area with fireplace is delightful. Restaurant is over-rated and expensive. The breakfast was mediocre with cold toast and eggs but a nice view. Recommend taking a fish dinner at a local restaurant for an excellent local experience at a fraction of the cost. […] We had fresh local lobster and haddock at The Caberfeidh which is only a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Although the hotel building was relatively new and lacked the character that a more established hotel might have, this was more than compensated by an excellence of service, food, and stunning views from the rooms and particularly from the restaurant. From our moment of arrival in the car park, we were pampered and treated extremely well and courteously […] by all the staff. Several problems in the room the bath mixer tap was broken the bathroom sink room was difficult to operate. The house keeper was very helpful in resolving this. Bed very comfortable. Generally cleanliness could have been slightly better, hairs on the dressing table chair for example. room quite stuffy so needed windows open and therefore got badly bitten […] by midges in the night. Food okay, but not brilliant. Only basic sliced bread for toast, quality of sausage and black/white pudding not as expected. Staff pleasant in dining room. Evening meal was not as good as expected, starter great, fish curry rather average.Desert ok. Overall ambiance of an old peoples home both inside and out. Sorry but this is not a 5* scottish lodge, its rather corporate. Read more

We were met at the door and treated with extreme courtesy. The hotel had staff available to deal with every need. The breakfast was excellent - everything freshly cooked to order and the buffet very fresh and well stocked. Our rooms had a beautiful view and a super kingside extremely comfortable bed. We cannot rate the hotel highly enough.

We have just returned from a tour around Scotland staying at several quality hotels. The Inver Lodge really is very special and will remain one of the highlights of our holiday. Set in a glorious location, the hotel is warm and friendly and offers exceptional service. We were made to feel very welcome from our arrival when staff greeted us in the car […] park to the point of our departure when the receptionist and Nick, the manager, were patiently giving us advice on our onward journey to Skye. If you want to be pampered in luxurious surroundings, then this is the place to stay. Staff very friendly and attentive, nothing was any trouble. Food devine. We sat in the lounge, in front of the open fire, reading complementary Sunday papers - so relaxing - just didn't want to leave !

Inver Lodge is a luxury hotel with a great view. We arrived at 8:00 pm after driving to the north end of Scotland. Since we were the last to arrive in this smaller hotel, the receptionist came out of the hotel to greet us. The staff were very friendly. The decor was spacious in the lobby and the room and they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. […] This is a quality hotel. The breakfast options were served to you rather than just having a buffet.
