The hotel was surprisingly comfortable, with good-sized rooms for the UK. One bonus was AC, since we were in London during a surprising warm week-end. A less-welcome surprise was notification during the evening that a private party with live music would be taking place on the floor above us. It woudl have been nice to know this earlier and perhaps have […] the chance to request a different room at check-in. However, the music was not disruptive (it was actually quite good!) and it did not disturb our rest. But an earlier heads-up would have been helpfu. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We can't believe this hotel has 4 stars... Location is very good but qualities aren't 4 stars....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great big-city location for a reasonable price. Close to lots of shopping, parks and tube stations.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Customer Service? NOT AT ALL."
While the location of this hotel is SUPERB, we had to move rooms twice in order to get a room with the following: temperature control (there was no heat in 2 of the rooms), hot water (NO hot water in several rooms) and no NOISE (construction taking place above the room we were in). The hotel staff at the front desk were helpful whereas the management […] were basically AWFUL. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very pleasurable stay"
We were extremely pleased with this hotel. The rooms were spacious, we had a fantastic view of London from our 12th floor room, and the service was very helpful and friendly. There were a few minor mishaps (our TV and a couple of outlets stopped working on our second day, but they fixed it all by the time we got back in the evening; also, they said […] our room was ready but when we got up there -- before check-in time -- it had not yet been made up. But we were glad to be able to dump our suitcases and freshen up a tad and then go back out). The location is convenient to everything, and there are great restaurants in walking distance (we recommend Texture and Back 2 Basics). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"St Georges, London ; comfortable and convenient."
Well situated but out of the bustle of Oxford Street. Upper floor rooms at the back are nice and quiet despite central location. The rooms are larger than usual in mid-priced London hotels; well kept, and a super friendly and helpful young staff. The only thing missing was provision for morning tea or coffee - not in rooms or lobby, though there are […] many coffee shop nearby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Terrific place that is close to Oxford Circus and all the shops on Regent Street. I must say the mattresses in the room were a little old, but the room was clean, well maintained and I look forward to visiting again soon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Saint Georges, Fitzrovia, London"
The hotel is very well situated just off Regent Street several blocks north of Oxford Circus. The staff were cheerful and considerate. All rooms are on high floors, thus quieter, with reliable lifts and lovely views of the city from the side we were on. We did not eat at the hotel, but found several good places for breakfast within 1-2 blocks. Also […] many good restaurants nearby, and a short walk to the theatre district and the shopping mecca on Regent, Bond, Oxford streets. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"St George Hotel in London"
A great location, walking distance to main shopping areas, Soho, etc. The hotel was a great value compared to comparable hotels in this area. Next door is a very good Turkish restaurant worth trying.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful Hotel in a beautiful place"
It has been my first time in London. I've heard about hotels room small and not clean. But this is not the Saint Georges Hotel condition. The rooms were comfortable and clean, also quite large. We were lucky because we have had sun all week... I recommend this hotel. Patrizia Rome ItalyGenuine Expedia guest review
"St. Georges on Regent Street - Great Location!"
I very much enjoyed my stay at Saint Georges (I was there 6 nights). The location is AWESOME, close to lots of shopping and restaurants. The room was clean and fairly spacious - much better than another hotel I had stayed at in London previously. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to London for work or pleasure! Next time I […] am in London, I will definitely look to stay here again. Very Very good for the price I got from Expedia. Staff was very helpful and efficient. I recommend getting at least breakfast included. Inhouse Restaurant is very good, Price is High average for area. Ate dinner once and breakfast once, both were very good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location without the frills"
This hotel is in many ways typical of London accommodation - rooms are fairly small, furnishings are a bit dated and amenities limited. There is only a very small reception lobby on the ground floor. The building is a drab 60's structure with the lower floors used as office space (for the BBC I think). That said, the location is excellent. Just one […] short block off Oxford Circus. This puts most of the West End in walking distance. Front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. From your room enjoy the view of the Langham Hotel across the street where guests are paying hundreds of pounds per night more than you!. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel , just needs some updates!"
Great hotel , great location, walking distance to everything and decent rates! Room was nice and bathroom was nice as well just need some new carpet and mattress upgrades , maybe a little paint. Overall it is a great place to stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed 4 nights in St. George's hotel and have nothing but good things to say. The staff was friendly, our room was clean and had nice furnishings. Our room overlooked the BBC studios, a great modern building. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but that was ok since there are plenty of decent restaurants in the area. The Underground stop Oxford […] Circus is about a 5-10 minute walk and suited our every need. One sight that is easy to miss is All Saints Margaret Street Church, just around the corner from the hotel. It is quite the architectural gem, unlike any church I've seen before. All in all for the hotel, a very positive experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"St. Georges in London--reasonable, good location"
We've stayed here before and it's well located and very serviceable. The restaurant is a bit expensive for breakfast -- the buffet was 26 pounds for 2 and that's about $40. Less expensive options are right outside the hotel, so that's what we did. The rooms are fine if a bit dated. Last year we were here and one elevator was being updated. This year […] the other elevator was being updated. The entire hotel could use some updating but our room was quiet and that was important. Also, the price was reasonable. The room had wi-fi and a mini-refrigerator that was empty, in case you wanted to store your own snacks -- a huge thumbs up, as opposed to some hotels with a mini-bar that comes fully stocked and motion-sensitive to charge you if you even bump a bottle of water. "Bad hotel in good neighborhood"
Old, untidy hotel in a very good neighborhood. Furniture is run-down and is old. Bathroom follows the same suit. we had to ask hotel to come clean the bathroom as it did not seem that it was cleaned recently. The hotel had "four stars" on Expedia site - it is not barely 3 even if you normalize to the fact that it is London. And I have traveled to […] London a lot and know what I am talking about. "central London hotel"
St George's Hotel is very centrally located near Oxford Circus. Rooms are small but clean. Staff are keen but could be better trained (English was not usually first language and meanings got mixed up). Bar on 15th floor has great panoramic view of that area of London.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not a 4 star hotel!"
Very disappointed, this is not a 4 star - I would rate it barely a 3 star! A tired place pricing themselves high being next to the Langham - but nothing in common. So much wrong I just feel sad that a place with this location can not be handled with hotel people that care about the guest, create a nice ambience and make you feel special when you are […] away from home. No - 2 days of asking to get your toilet seat fixed, an aircon sounding like a tractor, a waiter bringing a bottle of wine to our room in his hand without an ice bucket - where am I?! Location is just about 2 blocks away from Oxford Circus. Very convinient. Check in was easy, staffs were accomodating. However, hotel corridor is gloomy. Our room is just OK. Great location only a few minutes walk to Oxford Street, tube, etc. Plenty of food options just outside from restaurants to cafes and juice bars. The room and bed was very comfortable and also offered a great view of London.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff were helpful, especially given that I had a very late check-in and check-out. The room, however, was not even close to what I would call a '4 star'. About 25% of the ceiling tiles were missing, the carpets were filthy, the bed was a mass of springs in my back, and the room was very dark with inadequate lighting. "Fantastic location and reasonable price"
Hotel is located perfectly down the street from Oxford Circus station. Considering this ideal and trendy location ... prices for this hotel are great! The room is decently sized, but outdated. Major concern is the bed which was incredibly uncomfortable. It was two single beds pushed together to create a double, and we could feel the crease between the […] two through the sheets. "Regent Street Dump"
This is the shabbiest hotel we've stayed in anywhere. Door/lock had beef smashed sometime & repaired by duct tape. Hot, cramped, not a single drawer, curtained off closet. AC NON-FUNCTIONING !!!!!! Outer windows (50's vintage) stuck open, birds got in between. Biscuit thin mattress. If this was a "Superior Room" I'd hate to stay in a regular one.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great location, responsive staff, fair room"
We liked this hotel and it worth its money. part of thr room's articles are old and you can find several minor maintanance issues, but it does not affect the overall experience. The cleanliness is goodGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I was staying for three nights on business. Based on previous reviews I decided to upgrade my room to superior when booking. The room was pleasantly large for a London hotel and magnificant views of London (14th floor). On the morning of checking out I asked at reception if I could leave my case until later in the afternoon. They gave me a raffle ticket […] number and said they would be happy to. When I collected my case I asked the guy on reception if have could order me a taxi to Euston station. He told me to take a seat. He then went outside (in heavy rain wearing only a suit) flagged me down a black cab and brought it to the reception. I have to say Iwas extremely grateful for this and was very impressed. I would definitely recommend this hotel whether you are going on business or pleasure. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Second attempt at a review..... The room they allocated me was next to a few rooms being refurbished and there was dust everywhere. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff we friendly. Unfortunately their efforts were let down by the following: The Wifi was the worst wifi I have ever experienced in a hotel. "St George's hotel"
The air conditioning wasn't working & no central heating. The room was freezing. The reception told me to plug in the portable radiator, which worked quite well. "Worse room than usual"
I was given what I think must be an inferior room that is let out when the hotel is fully booked. It was the only room on the 9th floor on the side of the hotel. It was really small and in need of refurbishment. All of the other rooms had newspapers left outside in the morning but mine didn't. I was very disappointed because on the other two occasions […] I have stayed at the hotel, the rooms were excellent. I did ask to be moved but was informed the hotel was fully booked. I would recommend this hotel but don't stay in room 917, or I suspect room 17 on any of the other floors! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect location for shopping, 2 min walk from Oxford Street! Service not the best and they had a problem with 3 rooms being broken in to. They couldn't find the booking for the 2nd room and receptionist was serving 4 customers at the same time. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together. Decor was lovely and room was very clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The main bedroom was very nice but the bathroom was freezing (no heating, no double or secondary glazing) which was disappointing for a 4* hotel. Ended up having to put towels on the floor as it was so cold. I also think I was unlucky getting a room next to the service lift which was very noisy and was constantly on the go from about 5.30am! In the […] evenings I had to turn the TV up just to hear it. The receptionists were very nice and the the room was well cleaned but don't think I would stay again for the price (unless I could guarantee getting a warmer bathroom and one away from the service lift).
