"This hotel needs a major renovation."
We realize staying in London would we most likely in a older hotel, but this was old, outdated. The whole facilty needs a major overhaul to bring it up to a good standard that most people are used to. We sat waiting for our taxi to the airport and heard others complaining even more than we were. Good possibilties for this place but they need to spend […] the money and make it right. "Verify amenities before check-in"
Hotel is in a very nice location. Upon check-in, I was told that my floor had no air conditioning. Normally, this would not be an issue, but the weather was unseasonable warm for London. Fortunately, my window opened and the hotel provided a small fan. In fairness to the hotel, they offered to move me but I refused due to re-packing everything. Lastly, […] they advertised free wifi, but I wasn't able to access it unless I went to the restaurant on the top floor. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location close to Oxford Circus"
Great location. Good places to eat very close to the hotel. The room was clean. Free wi-fi. No complaints!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel and convenient location"
We had a good experience at the hotel. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The hotel was located about a 5 minute walk to Oxford Circus underground station, which was very convenient. We took a double decker bus tour and one of the stops was only about 2 blocks away from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great location but..."
The best place about this hotel is the location. It is in the middle of it all. Two blocks from the Oxford Circus tube - excellent location. Unfortunately this is where the review goes southbound. Three things majorly wrong with my room. 1) the tub drain would just not drain unless you held the knob. The knob was supposed to be turned and you can just […] leave it but mine was broke and they couldn't fix it. So take a shower and have water up to your calf. 2) The Wifi is free but completely useless. If you need to rely on Wifi for business this is NOT the place to go. 3) Various outlets in the room were out. In general, the rooms are old and in serious need of upgrade. They are clean mind you but no cleaning is going to fix the need to repair their rooms. Spend the extra money or go to a cheaper part of town and pay the same money for a much better hotel. The staff though is great but they can only do so much. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great Location. Staff very cordial and responsive. 15th Floor Lounge/Restaurant was a treat. Room was small but clean. Easy to walk to most anywhere in central London.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good Price, Good Quality"
This hotel was recommended by an individual who had stayed previously in January and his opinion was spot on. Located on Regent Street, it was near several great attractions and easy Tube access. You could shop, eat, and find whatever you needed. In addition, there was hardly a sound from other rooms or coming from the outside street and we were on […] the 11th floor. The room, our was two, twin beds, can be on the small side, but you have enough to not feel on top of each other. Clean. Stocked with all you need each day, good staff. Can't go wrong. "Great London option!!!"
I like to save money, but also stay at nice places; Saint Georges did both! The room was comfortable and provided ample space, but the bed was somewhat hard and needed new pillows. The location is great with a 5 minute walk to Oxford Circus Tube and 2 minutes to bus stops. I would stay here again without any apprehension.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best of All Worlds"
We lived 70 miles from London for three years and never stayed in the same hotel twice. I have now found the perfect London Hotel and I would return in a heart-beat. Five minute walk from the Oxford Circus tube stop; double windows meant no street noise; restaurant and bar on premises with scenic outlook (15th floor!); mini-bar, fridge and tea kettle […] in room; robe and slippers provided; flat-screen TV; helpful, knowledgeable staff at reception; super-fast lift available, even a separate express elevator straight to the top-floor restaurant. Housekeeping staff members were wonderful. Judging by the posted room rates, we got a great deal from Hotels.com. While we were there, Justin Beiber stayed in the Langham, across the street. (His handlers must like the neighborhood, too.) A Post Office is mere steps away for changing money or buying stamps. In short, it was the Best of All Worlds. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was convenient for shopping/eating. Needs for the rooms to be refurbished as they look quite worn. Front desk was extremely helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
They don't offer what they say on there website. Not friendly, bad food and kinda run down.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Traveling with my daughter so requested a room with two twin beds. The mattresses in the first room they gave us were so worn out they looked more like bowls than mattresses. Informed the desk and they quickly moved us to another room (with slightly better mattresses although still clearly worn). One has to question why they even put us in that first […] room, the beds were that bad and it was directly across from the elevators . I guess they're just seeing how much they can get away with I guess. Other than the old mattresses, the room was a decent size and clean and quiet, the bathroom also was clean. "A great find at a great price"
I enjoyed my stay at the St. Georges Hotel. I had never stayed there before and booked it blindly, but the gamble paid off. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. My room was clean and comfortable and more than once, I took advantage of the restaurant on the top floor with it's nice view. In all it was a very good experience and I'll book a room […] there again the next time I'm in London. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"outstanding location, a few ups and downs"
Overall, this hotel is in a fantastic location, located just steps away from many cafes, shops, the Underground, and handy bus stops. I thought the hotel was a great deal for the price. A few ups/downs though. They were nice enough to let us check in very early (a huge plus after a redeye!) but the woman who assigned our room gave us a double despite […] my having requested twin beds. When I called from the room to ask about it, she told me I had to come back down to the desk. She was then pretty short with me when she said I had requested a double room, until I pointed to the place on her page where it said I actually did request twin beds. She halfheartedly apologized then gave us a room on the 14th floor. She neglected to mention (though there was a letter about a "function") that there would be a wedding reception on the 15th floor that night, and the music and drums were so loud that if I hadn't been awake for 36 hours I wouldn't have been able to sleep. Not sure if she did that intentionally. Make sure you request a room that is NOT on the 14th floor if they're having an event! All of that said, the rest of the staff was very nice and accommodating, even helped us sort out electric adapter issues. The room was a great find in a perfect location, very clean and safe. "Great location. Great hotel!!!"
Excellent location. Room is very spacious for London standards. Price was great for the quality received. Rooms/hallways could use some freshening up but, overall, a great experience. Staff was very accomodating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfort at a reasonable price"
Thje staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We had difficulty seeing well with the lighting available. Coffee and tea-making facilities and snacks were provided in the room which was a nice amenity.Genuine Expedia guest review
Clean hotel, good location and friendly staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There is no doubt, the overal stay at this property was fine. I last stayed here a few years ago. My reservation was in order upon arrival. The room I was provided was acceptable: nothing fancy but perfectly acceptable. The staff were courtious and cheerful. The property is more than a bit tired. The guest room has faded considerably and is in need of […] a serious "fluff-up". The lobby is inviting. The new elvators are a plus. The "Heights" was great for cocktails and remains one of the best views of London, perched, as it is, on the 15th floor. It would not be my first recomendation to a first time visitor to London, but it certainly meets the needs of a visitor who has modest expectations. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fantastic central location"
This was a great hotel and the location was superb. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful as well/ My only complaint was that the wi-fi seemed very spotty and I was only able to get on in the evening. In spite of that, I would definitely stay here again and recommend overall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Hotel, centrally located, good value for mon"
Not a great looking hotel on the outside. Former BBC office built in the 60s. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Great views of the surrounding area. Room service needs to be brought up to speed but the quality of meals is very good. Worth the money.Genuine Expedia guest review
Disgusting! They claimed that they gave us a rennovated room. The bed was so bad that neither of us could sleep, and demanded to be moved next day.Which they did-but the bed was equally poor. The hotel is superficially attractive, but not comfortable. They staff know they have a problem and are friendly and apologetic. Certainly will not stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A hidden treasure"
Tucked away at Langham Place next to the BBC. Easy access to the Oxford Circus hub, great restaurants nearby, excellent shopping area, 15-min walk to the theatre areas and T-square. Small but efficiently run hotel. Will be back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great location and quality hotel"
We were a short walk from the Oxford Circus tube station and there were some nice restaurants around the hotel to eat. It is very easy to get places from here and the hotel is clean and the staff is very helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
enjoyed immensley our stay in London - due in no small way to the excellent location of St George hotel: plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shick shops along the Regent Street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was surprisingly comfortable, with good-sized rooms for the UK. One bonus was AC, since we were in London during a surprising warm week-end. A less-welcome surprise was notification during the evening that a private party with live music would be taking place on the floor above us. It woudl have been nice to know this earlier and perhaps have […] the chance to request a different room at check-in. However, the music was not disruptive (it was actually quite good!) and it did not disturb our rest. But an earlier heads-up would have been helpfu. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A bit disappointed!"
We were staying in the hotel with family - our room however appeared to be down a service corridor next to the service lift. We arrived back to the hotel after an evening out and found there was no hot water despite running it for ten minutes. As we got into bed the service lift started going up and down and was very noisy and at 6 am bottles were being […] tipped into rubbish containers below our window. Liked the hotel and location and would really like to rate it higher. However there was no hot water on the first morning and on the second day my non smoking room really smelt of cigarette smoke! However staff were friendly and we liked the rooftop bar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Location, Shame about the Smell"
This hotel is in an excellent central London location. The check-in staff were friendly and helpful. The view from my room on the 14th floor was excellent. However, the room was pretty dark and not all the light switches worked, it could definitely have benefitted from a ceiling light in the bedroom. There was also a very odd smell that hit you as soon […] as you walked in. I checked everywhere and couldn't find a source, the only place which didn't have it was the bathroom. The bed was pretty comfortable, but the smell stopped me sleeping at first. Overall the room was alright, and spacious for central London and the location was 5*. "Great location but that's about it"
Sadly, very disappointing and no where near a 4* hotel. Decor in corridors and bedroom well beyond 'quaintly worn' and much more downright tatty. Lumps of wallpaper missing. Doors scratched and badly marked. Bathroom very poor. Clearly hasn't been refurbed since the 80s. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only real positive is the location, opposite […] The Langham and only two minutes walk from Oxford Circus. I wouldn't stay here again. There are far batter hotels in the same vicinity at a similar price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Response by Saint Georges Hotel Thank you
While the hotel is located in an ideal spot just a short walk from Oxford station, the room itself was a letdown. It was down a lonely corridor off the main hallway which was beside the service elevator and a maintenance room. The room hadn't been restocked after the last guest as the water was missing and the cookie packages that were left by the tea […] were open and half eaten. Had I not been completely exhausted after a day of touring the city, I would have asked to change rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, couple of issues with the room"
Great location and the hotel room was very quiet considering how central the hotel is. The room was a good size and well appointed, however, over the course of my stay (just 2 nights) the bathroom smelt increasingly of drains to the point where I would have requested a move if I had been staying longer. The other irritation was there was a problem with […] the phone lines which meant my phone kept ringing with people trying to contact another room - including reception waking me up at 5am - not great! Lovely views from the 14th Floor. The Hotel is starting to look tired, but I gather a refurb is on the way and its not so bad. Just some scuffed areas. "A night at Saint Georges Hotel"
Had an overnight stay, room was clean and comfortable. There was renovation work going on in the Hotel but didn't bother us to much, drilling could be heard in the morning but it was at a reasonable time. The decor in the room was good but I think the woodwork, doors etc looked a bit tired and needed revarnishing. Staff were helpful and pleasant.
