Was very upset that we were not notified that there was construction going on at the hotel. The parking garage was a complete disaster and most of the construction was going on in there. They only had 2 elevators in operation one at one end of the hotel and one at the other Being on the 15th floor didn't really bode well with taking the stairs and had […] to wait sometimes in excess of 10 mins for the elevator to reach our floor. The security of the hotel was lacking, as there were construction workers walking around the halls of the hotels and in the parking deck even late into the evening. We couldn't find a cart to load our luggage on anywhere in the hotel, but upon leaving we found 5 or 6 in the parking garage hidden around in a back corner. Just over all upset with the hotel as we were expecting it to be one of the better ones. Will not be staying there again next time I will stick with the Caribean Resort. Read more

Disappointed that we had to pay additional $22 wnen we arrived. They were doing construction and was somewhat noisy until about 11 pm. The room itself was nice. We did not make use of any facilities except for room.

The smoke alarm went off 2 different times for no reason. The t.v. kept freezing along with the picture cutting in and out. This hotel is great for a winter getaway. The pools are heated, including the lazy river, and the water slides are very good. The room is pretty standard for a beach hotel room. The new road by the airport ends close to the hotel, so it is really easy to get around on 17.

Very disappointed in cleanliness of room . Although smoke free, room smelled smoky. My son has severe allergies and after contacting front desk a security guard was sent up to spray" deodorizer." I was very pleased with this resort. I was most impressed when i asked for extra pillows and they were delivered to my room within 5 minutes. the electricity went off and once reported it was back on very quickly.

Stayed here many times, always a small glitch to prevents 5.0 stay. This time no wifi for first 26 hours, Bed was not made after first day, we were out of the room by10:30, returned at 5:00. Called desk, reported bed not made, went out to dinner, bed was made when we got back. Hot tub was HOT, HOT, HOT and not in a good way.

This place was awesome!! There are 3 separate towers to this resort. It is bigger than you think! From the time we checked in until the time we checked out, EVERYBODY we encountered here were friendly and very accommodating. We knew the minute we walked in to check-in that the staff was one of the friendliest we have ever encountered on our stays at […] Myrtle Beach. We were most impressed with the staff as they went out of their way to take care of us! The room was clean and nice too! Nice flat screen TV and we had an ocean front room with a nice balcony. It is a great place for my family and i in the winter. This was our third year in a row, and hope to go back soon. I wish the rates were i little lower, for 4 nights I paid almost half of the rate that it costs for a full month in the winter.

Compass Cove is outstanding.. The thing we loved the most was the pools... they have an insane number of pools and all but 2 are heated!!! They have two sets of indoor pools, both with indoor lazy rivers and hot tubs... The hotel staff even allowed my daughter and some of the other kids to take a couple turns down the water slides which come into one […] of the indoor pool areas... Stayed at Compass Cove for a weekend getaway and was very pleased with this hotel. Upon check in you will be charged a $50 security deposit that will be removed off your credit card a few days after check out. I also tried to check in a few hours early but they seemed pretty strict about not letting you check in until after 3pm. We stayed in the schooner […] building which is the oldest of the three buildings but has been updated nicely. Room included a flat screen tv and beds were soft. Defintely want to bring your own pillows though. Hotel included a few indoor pools as well as heated indoor water slides. Breakfast buffet is not included when you book anywhere other than through them directly but was less than 20 bucks for two of us. My wife and I visit MB approx. 5 times per year. We have stayed multiple places. CC seems to be one of the best values for the cost. Not a five star but not a dump. Service is always good. We have stayed less desirable places such as "The Breakers" and "The Caribbean", and nicer places such as "The Hampton Inn just up the street by 17th S., Pawleys […] Plantation, The Sheraton, Marriott Ocean Watch, etc... For the cost, CC is clean, larger space usually, and comfortable bedding. The best Ocean Front cost we have found over the years. Jeannie (in Golf Shop) is great with golf packages also! Great location to get where u want to easily, 5 min. to Coastal Grande Mall, Airport. 8 min. to 501 Tanger Outlets. 15-20 min. to all Golf courses in Murrells Inlet, Litchfield, Pawleys Island area (Great courses in the south end). 10 min max to MB central courses.
