It was the worst home I've ever stayed in while visiting Florida. I paid to have the pool heated for the week and it took 3 days of me reminding them to turn it on after we arrived. The carpets were so dirty and the linens didn't even fit the bed. Yes, there is a kitchen with pots and pans but couldn't use them because they were in such bad shape. THE STAY AT THE ATCUALLY PLACES WAS OK. AVH homes are "within a 20 mile radius" of Disney parks. That doesn't mean a 20 mile driving distance. Beware of that. The home we rented was 25 miles to the nearest park, and almost 40 miles to Universal. The home was large and mostly clean other than some dust bunnies in the corners. There were plenty of towels and the home was well-stocked with dishes […] and even had a basketball hoop and tennis rackets. Pots and pans were terrible though, the nonstick was totally gone. We stayed 5 nights, and they left us with one partial roll of toilet paper per bathroom, with no restock. Overall, if you're a hardy traveler who wants to maximize the number of people you can vacation with, this place is OK. Just be prepared to go to Walmart several times, and spend an extra hour per day driving back and forth to the parks. Read more

I read a few reviews and most are mixed. This was a Disney trip for My wife and I, and another couple with two small children. Totalling 6 people. Our total cost was only 400$ for two nights. Your looking at 150$ a night for a hotel, if you can even get a room, so this was a big money saver. We spent all day at the park and didnt pick up our keys untill […] 11pm, there was a lockbox and we just took our envelope and keys. Very simple and easy to deal with. The leasing office is located in a strip mall. Once you pick up your keys you will have to commute to the "actual" place you will be staying which is only 10min away tops. We stayed in a 3 bed, 2 bath townhome. The neighborhood was right off of FL-92, which is the same road that Disney is located, and there are tons of restaurants, grocery, and gift shops off of 92, so it was a great location. The townhome was not the newest , but everything was clean and worked properly. It was fully furnished, with plates, forks, cook ware etc. This is a great place if you are trying to save a few bucks, we cooked breakfast every day of our stay. and packed lunches for the park. It is about 15$/ person to eat at Disney so we saved a lot of money, by taking our own food. I would use American Homes again, I really cant say anything bad about the place other then just old decor. but you are only there to sleep...lol. Read more

In short, I got everything I needed on this vacation. We were with a bunch of kids who had extra energy at all time. The house was big enough and they had a great time by playing with Xbox in the living room in the middle of the night and sleeping on comfy beds. -If the price can be just a bit more ideal... that will rock!

I thought that the vacation home was going to be a better stay than a hotel WRONG!!! First, you have to pick up the paperwork for your stay about 20 min away from the home. Second, you only have one key to the house and if you lose it it will be a $200 charge. Third, there are only to parking spaces and when we got there, a car was parked in our space. […] Fourth, the vacation home is in a community where permanent tenants live therefore, you have to watch out for you noise level. Fifth, when we walked into the house the house had not been updated since they built it, not to mention the dead roach we saw on the floor upon entry. There was only on t.v. in a four bedroom house. The pool area was extremely small not to mention the mold on the outside carpet. The house does come with a garage but it was packed filled with old furniture. The masterbath is extremely outdated and had a moldy rug. When we got there, there were 4 light bulbs that were out and the smoke alarm battery needed to be changed. Overall, for what you pay for it is not worth it. It needs a serious update and a deep cleaning. If you are an allergic person do not rent this house. Read more

it was very bad the first day of our visit due to the fact that we were given a place in bad living condition; with a dirty pool and with lack of the necesary things like towels and a clean garage wich was full of unused furniture and and old appliances. After calling many times to report , no response, next day we called the office where we got the […] papers, we were offered to move to a better place, a place that was not ready to be taken until late 7 pm; we lost a full day out without anything to do more than wait and wait. The house do not look like the advertising, the place do not have any communitty pool or facilities just a regular neighborhood in Orlando and not closed to the parks. The main officcce is located closed to the park area but not the houses.

Not a single bug in site. It was very tidy. The washer and dryer were a big plus with an extended stay. It would have been nice to have a TV guide or instructions to run the various electronic devices in the house. The house smelled a little musty. Some mild potpourri would have gone a long way. The condo was great!. I loved the modern styling and decor and it was really comfortable and homely. It was situated in a quite low traffic gated community. The staff at the club house were more than helpful. Everything was well maintained. I have no complaints at all. The only problem is that my 4 year old wants a condo just like that one. :-)

Very nice and quiet community. Comfort feeling of being at home. Con is there is no house keeping. Needed extra toilet paper during our stay. Each room had one roll. Overall experience was great, i would do it again and recommend to a friend.

The house was great however the beds were not so comfy and there were some things that were not available as far as kitchen utensils.
