The continental breakfast is one of the best ive had, well stocked and tasted great. pool area was big and well kept. loved that our room came with fridge and microwave. rooms were a bit on the small side and initially we got a room with only a shower but when we requested a room with a tub staff was awesome and just hopped us down one door to a room […] with tub since we have kids. shuttle was nice and location to mall is great. no sounds from neighbors despite having a bus of kids somewhere and at 11pm cops banged on our door saying they were called in for marijuana!! as a mother just having put my infant down to sleep I was pretty upset and they were pretty unapologetic for the disturbance but other than that hotel was great. My only complaint is that they put us in a handicapped room and the bathroom was oversized but slick from showers which made the sleeping area smaller.

The hotel was a little old but it was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there on a full weekend and the staff was still cheerful and helpful. It was nice to have a shuttle to the mall. One night the staff had to make three rounds to pick us all up but he did it with a smile.

The room was nice and well kept, but I couldn't turn the heat down. Stayed too warm the whole night. Only option was to open the window, but that was too cold. Housekeeping woke us up on our second morning by vacuuming at 8:30 in the room across from us.

We loved how convenient the hotel was to Mall of America and IKEA. The rooms were clean however the room was really hot and the AC could not be turned on since it was less than 50 degrees outside. We ended up opening up a window when it was only about 30 degrees out because it was probably about 90 degrees in our room. The room was also very dark and […] did not have a fan in the bathroom to allow for proper ventilation. The breakfast was horrible!!!!!! We were looking forward to omelets ect......like the hotel advertised but it was all prepackaged warmed up tasteless, gross, food. We ended up just eating yogurt and fruit for breakfast. When we travel we look for places with a good breakfast to help save on the cost of meals. The pool was ok....the water in the pool was very cold and my 20 month old daughter who loves swimming wanted out after just 5 minutes because of the temperature. There was a note on the thermostat of my room indicating it could not be adjusted - either on or off. Despite being 30-degrees outside I had to open the window because it was sweltering in the room. The continental breakfast was nice and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately due to the uncomfortable conditions I would likely not stay here again.

We had an overall good experience. The bed was very comfortable and had many nice fluffy pillows. Upon entering our room we noticed it was extremely hot, so we turned it down to cool; however we ended up having to leave the window open because the room never cooled down. This stay was very stressful because calls kept coming to the room late at night. The man that was calling was asking for credit card information and was acting like he worked for the hotel but when talking to the people at the front desk they stated every thing was fine with the room but they kept sending the call to the room.

Holiday Inn and Suites staff was very friendly and helpful. One staff member didn't want us to have to wait for a cart to lug in three days of shopping by four shoppers and assisted us carrying everything to the 5th floor of the hotel.
