I travel often to Europe and know the quality of the hotels ratings very well...This in now way is a 4 star, It really is like a 2 start. The rooms are horrible, Cheap motel furniture, they clean the rooms with strong slovents so the smell is always horrible, The beds really are like sleeping on a rock. I booked it for 7 days and left after 2 days , […] just could not take another night of it........BTW from the street the hotel looks 4 stars it is not until you get inside your room that these horrible conditions take place, find another place!! We loved the hotel. We just came back, with this being mid-December. The hotel, as do most all the hotels in Barcelona, turn their air conditioning off at this time. We walked and walked, so we were hot when we would return to the room. Opening the window helped. No AC is our only complaint. The hotel in Madrid was in the same price range, but came no where close in comparison to the great amenties and niceness of Atrium Palace. Atrium Palace was located in a nice and safe area. This hotel has a very good location for tourists being only 2 blocks from Cataluna square. We found the hotel to be very clean and nice. The desk staff was very courteous and could speak English. Our room was very clean and larger than we expected. The room (#411) was in the back of the hotel and thus street noise could not be heard. It did overlook […] a urban school yard. Excellent location only a few blocks from Catalunya Square, where central action is, and where you can catch the 3 tourist buses to get on/off and see various parts of the city. Within walking distance to many things. School Playground out back window quite noisy during day, but not earth shattering. Beds are quite uncomfortable, but only stayed 2 nights. If we were staying longer, not sure if we would stay at this hotel due to that.

Very friendly front staff. Great location. Matress was way too hard. We had to open the terry bathrobes and lay them on top of the bedsheet and then lay on the bed. This helped to make the bed a little softer. Asked for a quiet room, but still heard a lot of outside noise; even late into the evening. Nice hotel, great staff. We arrived very early and simply wanted to leave our luggage, but they had a room ready and let us have it. Not sure if that was best. The room available had a view of a wall and an enclosed service port. If we'd waited, might have actually got a room with sunlight. So just ask for a room with a view!

Overall this hotel was very nice. The only problem we saw was the very thin doors which allow us to hear evryone who was talking in the hallway. This was a little bothersome but overall we weren't in our room much, other than to sleep. Hotel was two blocks from the Catalayana square and had many places to shop and eat.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a few days prior to taking a cruise, then again upon our return. The staff was extremely helpful, warm, and friendly, not to mention spoke excellent english. I would highly recommend this hotel again and if we ever go to Barcelona again, we will definitely stay at the same place.

This hotel was right near the center of high-end shopping in Barcelona (Passeig de Gracias) and a block away from Plaza de Catalunya and La Rambla. Walking back to the hotel at night is a bit isolated but we never felt unsafe. I first ended up in a very noisy room (could hear everything from reception), but asked for a new room which they sorted out in less than 5 min - very nice! The rooms were of great quality, staff super friendly and the location is superb. Positive is that the spa (pool, jacuzzi and sauna) are included for free. The only think I'd ask for them to improve […] is the level of the gym; only one treadmill, one cycle , one step, one pair of weights and one carpet for floor exercise. We were booked to stay half board and on the day of arrival were informed that the restaurant was closed due to a public holiday. We hadn’t budgeted to eat out so this was an unexpected expense!
