The hotel entrance was a little out of the way but we figured it out. The room was adequate, but the heat was turned off and the room was freezing cold. It took about 2 hours to heat it up - so we left for dinner as it warmed. Everthing else was ok.

This has got to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. The room was completely filty! There was food or something else throen all over the window and walls ant the staff did not even bother to clean it up. There was stuff all over the floors and most of the furniture looked like they picked it up from the side of the street.

The hotel was nice, neighborhood was alright, but not close to much. We thought they had a pool but were misinformed. Oh well. There is a hot tub but it was way too hot for that. Nice workout room. Our room was nice and big, beds comfortable, and a/c good. However, window casing and screen were damaged like someone had tried to break in so that was […] disconcerting. Also, there was a water stain on the ceiling... eww. And the room and rug felt a little damp when we got back from dinner... I guess cause the a/c had been at a warmer setting? I had a bathroom light out for two days. I reported the outage to the front desk on Wednesday morning and nothing was done to replace the bulb. I retruned to my room late wednesday and it was not replaced. Notified the front desk and however she did not have a fluorescent bulb to replace it.

When we first got there the room was clean. We stayed a week and they never cleaned our room, didn't take out the trash, didn't replenish towels, and didn't replenish cups, all they did was make the bed.

We were only there for the night - out by 5am the next day. Wish we could have been there for the free breakfast, but as we were leaving, an employee told us to help ourselves to coffee and danish that was already out for the early risers. That really helped!

The 18 wheelers kept me up all night. Not to mention the bed had a hump in the middle as did another guest that was complaining at the front desk the next morning. The room was on the side of the interstate and you could hear every car passing. The sliding doors (instead of a window) were not sealed very well and you could even hear the wind coming […] through. When you recognize the name brand of the hotel, you do not expect to come in smelling the foul smell of the commode in not one, but two of their hotel rooms. It was so bad, I would hold my breath everytime I had to use the facilities. I began to think, if the toilet is this bad what else is there that I cannot see?

Got there late so did not use facilities just went to the room. Great friendly staff, Room was clean, believe this is a fairly new hotel, good shampoo n soap n towels, Breakfast was good. Grout in bathroom tile was missing, paint splatter around the bathroom door-building maintenance could be better. Check out was easy.

Nice, quiet stay. Checked in very late, around 2 a.m.. Unfortunately, bathroom light didn't work and they couldn't fix it right then. They did offer another room but I didn't want to move to second floor. Also, there was a very long and large water stain on the ceiling. The beds were very nice and loaded with nice warm comforter and blankets and slept […] well. The next morning I reminded the front desk that bathroom light wasn't working. We came back around 3:30p.m for a power nap and found the light had still not been fixed. I told the front desk that I needed either the light fixed immediately or another room. They sent someone within 15 minutes to fix the light. They serve a pretty good breakfast buffet; Scrambled eggs, sausage gravy biscuit, packaged bagels, packaged muffins, sausage links or patties, cereal, orange juice, milk, pancakes, and more. I stayed at the Wingate at Fort Gordon one night on my way south from NC to Orlando. It was a last minute decision to stay here as I was on a motorcycle trip that was not pre-planned. I was just riding from town to town and stopping when I felt the need to. So as I picked Augusta as a stopping point for the night, the Hotesl.com iPhone app found this […] place for me, I rolled the dice and got a pretty nice place to stay for a decent rate. The hotel is a bit hard to get to. Even though it's right off a main road, you have to turn into a business area and follow another road a short bit before turning into an unmarked parking lot. They could do better in guiding people in. But other than that complaint, the hotel was great. The staff was helpful and courteous, check-in was a breeze and the lobby was pretty comfy as well. The room was larger than I expected and the bed was very comfortable. The pillows could have been better, but I travel a lot and my expectations on some things are higher than most. The room and furniture was clean and comfy, though the AC unit was a little loud. All in all, the Wingate was a great place to stay and I'll keep it in mind the next time I am headed down through Augusta. Read more

First time staying at this hotel and it was better than expected. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was very spacious. My only complaint is that the parking lot lights were not working. That was a big safety issue for me since I checked in late at night. Otherwise a good hotel for the money.
