The staff were extremely helpful and thorough, filling us in on all the relevant information at check-in. The room was comfortable with a full kitchen and roomy bathroom. The couch and dining area are also pleasant to relax in. Overall, this was a great place to stay. I would highly recommend it to those who are looking for a great room at an unbeatable price. We did not use the pool at the hotel, so I cannot give specific information about that. We spent 5 days at the Maui Eldorado in a one bedroom condo with a partial ocean view on the upper level of building K. When the weather was clear (very few day we were there) we had a great view of the islands of Molokai and Lanai. The rooms were very large and we had a lot of space to spread out inside the unit as well as having a double size balcony. […] However, the unit was very basic in its amenities and very dated in its decor; nothing like the glitzy photos shown on the website. That was a disappointment when we first arrived. The grounds were very well kept, had beautiful landscaping and gardening staff was visible every day tidying up. The walk to the cabana and beach was not difficult and was good exercise. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. The location is great. We stayed in a 2 bedroom partial ocean view B200. There were four adults in our group. It was clean and lots of square feet. The patio was huge. The lobby is a great place to catch a free ride to the beach. If we stay in Kaanapali again, we will definitely stay here. Great location for a relaxing vacation.

Enjoyed the place. Very near Ka'anapali Beach and Black Rock. The walk is an easy one. A Safeway is just down the road a few minutes away. Grounds are tropical pretty. We stayed in E107 and everything was very nice. We didn't have the time to take advantage of all that was around, but appreciated the availability of things like BBQs, golf cart rides […] to Cabana, etc. The drive to Lahaina is quick and easy. Maui El Dorado is one of the best Condo that i can recommend. The studio we stayed on is immaculate with a full kitchen. I like the floor plan and the sunken ceiling. Few minutes walk from the the beach and 10 minutes walk to Whaler Village. It's worth the money that i spend on this trip with my son. MAHALO

The 'partial ocean view' in unit E101 included a huge lanai, we cooked and hosted a pre-wedding dinner party for 20 when we found how nice the giant 2 bedroom unit and ocean view was. Best deal in west Maui, a fine condo rental (and I have had a lot) Just a short walk to the sunset ceremony at Black Rock or some great resort beaches with snorkeling. […] Take the Eldorado's golf cart shuttle from your room to their well equipped beach cabana with facilities, towels, chairs, and a kitchen. All the in-laws were embarrassed with their twice-the-price hotel shoeboxes, though they had much busier pools and smaller views than ours. The island is ringed with public park beaches, each with it's own charm. The blue fifth edition "Maui Revealed" book from your public library is a bible, maps, tips, and access instructions to each beach. Don't pay tops for an excursion, but start early each day to avoid the lazy folks and to snorkel in calm water. Short of diving and Molokini, skip the vendors and drive, I rented a windsurf board rather than pay for lessons and had it at half price for the whole day. The last day we went to Lahaina and it was nothing but activity vendors and tourist traps hawking their wares: get a condo, go to costco, and save a thousand or more on your week. We rented a 5 person jeep from a travel agent who got a great deal, open the top and see all around. It's quite a haul to Hana, 2 days would have been better, see the lower pools at the national park. Read more

This is a wonderful place for an extended stay in the Ka'anapali area. There are beaches, restaurants, bars and shopping all within walking distance. My studio garden unit had a view of the #6 tee and #3 green of the Ka'anapali Royal Golf Course, a definite plus for this golf fanatic. The condo set-up allows the traveler to save money for "fancy meals" […] by preparing other meals in your unit. (There is a Safeway a few miles away in Lahaina and another grocery store north about a mile.) Friends who were in a 2-bedroom unit along the road did remark on the traffic noise in one of their bedrooms. If you are looking for a luxurious resort however, this is not the place for you. Linen service was every three days. You can walk over to the Sheraton or the Westin for a spa day or dinner. The best drink prices were at the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel bar. Read more

Room was clean, spacious and the property was well kept on the Golf Course with a beautiful view. The AC was loud and made it hard to sleep. Cabana was nice to have access to, chairs are ready and waiting for your body to tan in, they will deliver your Corna's and the fridge and freezer are handy to have available on the beach.

So, where to begin..... The staff was friendly and professional. Parking sucked - the parking lot near our condo would fill up early in the day and there would be nowhere to park. There is a parking garage but it is quite a ways from most units - expecially ours - and there are no sidewalkes through the complex to get there. The condo that we stayed […] in needs some work - the dryer would not dry, the sinks drained slowly and even back-washed some nasty black stuff once, and ithe condo could certainly use some fresh paint. If you like to golf you would enjoy the location as the golf course is right outside the door. If you want to see the ocean you won't have a direct view. It is also quite a long walk to get to the beach - although you can call the front desk and they will send a golf cart to take you. I would say that our unit was just okay. It met our needs in that it was a condo which is what we prefer but we have stayed in much better places. On a positive note there are a variety of very good resturants within walking distance.
