"Good deal for the location"
Good value for the location. Basic amenities, room clean and comfortable but small. Friendly staff. Lots of parking nearby. Short ~15 to 20 minute walk to shopping and nightlife. Nearby homeless center may be a drawback for some.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Location - Do not get the ground floor rooms"
It was the best rate by far to stay in the downtown area we could find for the weekend. It was a close walking distance to all the inner city attractions so a good location to be based from. Car parking is an additional cost you have to factor in though - about $28 for 24hrs in an open car lot 2 blocks down the road. There is a $32 hotel day rate but […] the guy behind reception could not tell me what the extra $4 covered. Our room was clean and tidy along with the general hotel itself given the run down look outside the hotel itself. We checked in late and were given a room across from the reception desk! There are rooms actually located on the same floor as the reception/entrance! I strongly recommend you stipulate when booking your room that it not be on the first floor as the noise of guests checking out and phone calls will wake you up early! The breakfast was good and the complementary coffee bar at reception a welcome sight after the early morning start! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to convention center"
Very rude staff Poor customer service Hassle to get rooms leaned. Constant threat of fines to customers example $ 150 for smoking in the rooms. I don't smoke but constant threats of financial penalties made it had to enjoy my stayGenuine Expedia guest review

"Polite staff but poor quality hotel"
Staff was helpful but building and rooms were poor quality and in significant need of an upgrade. I also think I may have caught a bed bug that I alerted the staff about.Genuine Expedia guest review

I'm sorry you stayed with us while we were under construction but the new addition is completed and I hope you will stay with us again next time you are in Philly.
"worth a quick night stay"
Worth the price for sure, minutes away from reading market and other downtown areas. The surronding location is a tad sketchy, but I've seen worse. Once you go past the convention center its fine. Park just past the hotek in the lot, its 32 bucks for in and out privileges. Do not park across the street, the street parking across the street is actually […] handicap parking and you will get tagged by parking attendants (kudos to the homeless man that warned me about it). My room was clean, but small. I didnt have that grungy feeling while sleeping or even just walking around. Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable of the local area. They got me to the closest bar to watch the sox play game 5, it was a pretty good recommendation as well. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Moderate price, moderate quality"
The room was spacious enough, but did not have a window to the outside world. Instead, there was a window (sheet of glass that did not open) that faced the hallway. So of course, curtains had to be kept closed at all times. This wasn't a fluke, lots of rooms in that hotel were similarly designed with no window to the street or even back alley. The location […] next to the convention center and walking distance to the Wanamaker Building (home of the world's largest pipe organ) the Catholic cathedral, and City Hall made it a good location. "Next to Conv.Ctr. But also the homeless shelter"
This was a typical Days Inn, although there have been some that were better than others. When I first walked into what couldn't even be generously called a lobby, I was shocked to see that there were guest rooms within a short jump shot of the desk. The location is great as far as proximity to the convention center-it's across the street-but it's on […] the back side, and right on the edge of where the neighborhood starts to get dicey. If it wasn't a police convention, I would've been worried. I would NOT recommend this hotel for women or anyone who isn't prepared to stave off panhandlers or worse. Staff was courteous and the room was clean. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall it was a good stay and I was very satisfied with the Day's Inn itself. The downside might have been the availability of parking and the inability to load and unload your luggage in this downtown location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Front desk staff were kind, but very slow and unorganized. This location is located between a Hampton Inn on one cross-road and Four Seasons at the other. Two doors down from this middle location hotel, Is a halfway house and soup kitchen. Would never stay again. Price is ok, but it's definitely worth the extra 20 dollars a night to stay at Hampton […] Inn. This Hotel reminds me of a hostel. Never did even bother looking for the complimentary breakfast. Perks, it's right across from Convention center. Practically in China-Town, also right near Philadelphia's amazing Reading Terminal Market. A must see. Plus walking distance to many other locations downtown. But with that. Just pay a little extra & you'll get much much more. Cheers! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"No windows to the outside world."
Staff not ready to check people in at 3. Room walls extremely thin so heard everything from the elevators to the loud music of the construction workers, who were smoking, above us. No windows to outside world, rather a window onto the hallway.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Decent quality for price"
Located right behind convention center, 2 blocks from Reading Terminal Market and Chinatown for the diversity of morning to late night grubbing. About a 10 minute walk to Center City; 15 minutes to Rittenhouse Row; 10 minutes to Independence Hall; 10 minutes to Museum District; 5 minutes to closest train stop. Very convenient to all city sight seeing […] sites. Relatively decide size room (bit small of a bathroom (sink is outside of bathroom). "It's the little things...."
Air conditioner doesn't work. It's hotter in the hotel then it was today. Almost 80 degrees in the room. WiFi is terrible. It barely works through out the hotel and when it doesn't it makes you enter the password every 5 min. Can't get anything done. The place is not kept up in the best shape, but that's fine I am not picky. No business center so you […] can get anything done. Random low spots in ceilings going down stairs, I smacked my head. The front locks at a night, because the area isn't the best. I will say it is across from the convention. Enter and close to the Marriott. Next time I will stay there though and spend the extra money I night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

this place is a dump--windowless tiny rooms which look into a corridor under construction so the hammering starts at 7 AM there is a so-called continental breakfast--how about stale crackers and tiny lumps of cheddar cheese as a nice side dish cannot imagine why this is even listed with Expedia and IT IS NOT AT ALL INEXPENSIVE there are so many nice […] hotels near the Philly convention center--this is DEFINATELY NOT ONE OF THEM Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This hotel was under construction on the 4th floor. They gave us a room on the 4th floor where construction workers were hanging from scalfolding and playing loud music. We had to walk around wires & ropes to get into our room. I informed the front desk that this room would not work. They did move us to another room and that was fine. The front young […] man desk person was sweating profusely while checking us in to the point where he was dripping sweat on the counter, on our papers, on everything. Check-in was very lengthy. There were 3 people at the counter but only one person checking people in. Took us an hour to get checked in. When I booked this room, the person taking my reservation informed me that this hotel offered onsite parking and that it was $35. When we checked in, there was no parking and we had to drive around searching for a parking garage. I would not book this hotel again and we stay in Philly quite often. The hotel was very convenient to the convention center and a very good value for the money but there were issues with staffing. "One Night in Philly"
Great location for what I was in town for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There was construction going on in the Hotel, the rooms were incredibly small and uncomfortable. For what they were charging I do understand that it is located next to the convention center but it was too much for what the room turned into.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hallways were noisy, i couldn't rest. There were undesirables loitering outside and even inside the building. The room was small, and not very appealing to say the least. "NO WINDOW in the room! ELEVATOR SHAKING!"
I would never stay here again. First, I stayed at other Days Inn Hotels, I was not expecting much. But NO WINDOW IN THE ROOM? Some people may be OK with that, but I'm not. That's one of the MOST BASIC THINGS I expect from a room. When we turned off the lights to go to sleep, I felt so depressed and claustrophobic!! I woke up the next morning, looked […] at the watch and thought it was 9.30 in the evening. It took me a while and some elevator noise to realize 'hey, I went to bed at 1 last night, it's gotta be morning!' TON OF NOISE from the hallway since there's also a tiny window looking at the hallway. We went downstairs for breakfast, STILL NO WINDOWS! TERRIBLE BREAKFAST! No bagels, no cream cheese, no banana. I know what a continental breakfast is, and this was no continental breakfast! Other than these, the room was clean when we first moved in. We left the room around noon, when we came back we realized the cleaning lady didn't even come to the room. I went downstairs to get clean towels by myself. I think the only good thing I can say about this hotel is the stuff. The room wasn't even ready at 3pm, they said they had NO CLEAN ROOMS at 3pm, we waited a while but they apologized for it later on. Last thing, the elevator door is not working properly. It makes 2-3 stops while it's trying to open doors. There were other hotels in the same price range but we chose Days Inn because we had good experiences before. I seriously don't recommend anyone to stay here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Central and comfortable with great cost-benefit"
I've stayed in Days Inn before and it is usually a great experience. The hotel is simple, but delivers everything you need for a great price. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the room has a good size. "Good price, but parking was a surprise"
This hotel sits right across the street from the convention center. Although there are interior rooms with windows that face into a central atrium, my room was an exterior one that had an outside facing window. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked. I was on the 2nd floor but everything was quiet. The breakfast was basic […] starches and I would have appreciated even a banana. The big surprise for me was parking. There is none. You have to park at a nearby lot and pay $25+ per night and walk at least a block with your luggage to get to the hotel. There isn't even a place for you to stop and drop off your luggage. Obviously this hotel was built to service the convention center, not the occasional guest who has a car. "Best Last Resort."
It was an okay stay, however they didn't have a garage and I had to drive 5 blocks to park then drag my stuff from my car to the room. That was a bit annoying. But I slept, showered, that was my main reason. Parking was almost the same cost of the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"More like a Motel-but the location is Amazing!"
It really had the feel of a motel. Very disappointing for a downtown facility. However, if you don't plan to spend much time in your room it's a great location. Adjacent to China Town and one 2 blocks form the amazing Reading Terminal which all tour guides say […] you should frequent. Off the beaten path, so not much hassel.
