When we first arrived for check in there was nobody at the front desk for about 10min. The employees were very nice. Once in our room, I noticed that the room door was not secure, you could easily just push it open with your open hand. We were given a new room, no problem. Room was OK, beds were OK, bathroom soap was usless, bring your own soap. Free […] breakfast was a waffle maker (make your own waffles) they tasted pretty good, or plain cerial, or a pastery. Asked for a non smoking room and got a room on 4th floor with ashtrays in the room. The smell wasn't too bad so we stayed there anyway. Breakfast was sub standard compared to most other properties we've stayed in. Would not recommend this hotel.

The Hotel was located too close to 401, too much hiway noise. It was also overpriced. We manage to stay while a lacross tournament was going on so there were some very noisy kids around. Over-all not a pleasant experience.

hotel staff very friendly. however, front entrance pavement was uneven and I twisted my ankle twice and had swelling and bruising. but the hotel was nice and clean and the sheets smelled heavenly.

This hotel is really showing it's age however the least pleasing aspect was the dirt around the pool walls. We were there mainly for the pool, which was a great temperature, but the dirt really was upsetting. Front desk lady during the day was great! Evening person not as much.

The front desk service was very friendly and helpful. There were a group of us staying over during a hockey tournament and we were able to use the kitchen eating area as a gathering spot, very convenient. Normally, I don't have high expectations for a Super 8 hotel, but this one was better than the few others I've stayed in. The indoor pool and whirlpool were well maintained, the room was basic, but clean. The included continental breakfast had a good selection, and was better than other hotels I've been in.

We had stayed at the Super 8 on a previous visit which is why we stayed there again. It is a very clean and comfortable Hotel and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is very convenient for Bus and Train links to Toronto and other places such as Niagara Falls and is very well placed for the local Shopping Centre(Harwood Plaza) and lots […] of eateries just a twenty minute walk away. We would always stay there again. The heated indoor pool was nice as well. We had to holiday later than we originally planned as a number of the dates we wanted to travel were fully booked which says a lot to us about the place. There is a buffet style complimentary breakfast, Free WiFi and a computer in the foyer for the free use of guests. Excellent overall. We have recommended it to family and friends who may visit for family history purposes. Read more

Our first room that we were given was musty and smelled of cigarette smoke, additionally the furniture appeared worn and of need of a good cleaning. Lobby and other common areas appeared in nice clean condition. When we complained about the smell and condition of our room we were told there were no others available but when we said we were going to […] leave and find a different hotel a Junior Suite opened up suddenly. The Suite was in better condition but still smelled a bit musty, room vent on full while we were out at our evening function helped clear most of the problem. Shower curtain rod was loose and one of the lamps had it's bulb missing. The furniture in this room appeared to need a cleaning as well. This would be a last resort hotel in my books for the future. The staff were great! The room appeared to be pretty clean until I found a candy and wrapper on the floor next to bed that wasn't ours. 2 queen bedrooms were small and there was traffic noise with windows open. Bed felt like you were sleeping on cardboard. Blanket felt threadbare. We were going to sleep on the pullout couch instead but when we were pulling it out we saw a huge stain on the mattress. Sink was clogged and would not empty. Do not see how housekeeping could have missed a clogged sink when they cleaned.

Room carpets dirty, toenails not vaccumed, mold forming on bathtub edges, air conditioner way too noisy, no room to move between small table with chairs and the bed. Mattress was comfortable. Walls and wooden headboard scuffed. […] Small fridge in room was a bonus. Complimentary breakfast items included bread, bagels, muffins, Cheerios, Corn Flakes, fruit beyond its due date by appearances, waffles, juice and coffee/tea. the location of the hotel to what we were dong on this weekend (ball hockey tournament in Oshawa) wasn't very convienent, but that is more our fault then thiers, the breakfast provided was just so so, restruants were approx. 5 - 10 minutes away. my biggest gripe is when we asked for a late check out of approx. an hour they where not willing to accomodate. […] for the price we paid we would look at something else (especially since some of the other hotels / motels were half the price) of what we paid here. Very pleased with proximity of the hotel to the 401 yet quiet and a good night's sleep. Well worth the additional cost over other similar hotels as this one has a well maintained pool and hot tub.
