"Nice stay-friendly staff"
Enjoyed our stay and it's in a good location for wine tasting. There's a lot of smaller family vineyards with very good wine in that location. Clean motel with a decent breakfast. We used the laundry facility there-usable. Friendly staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Labor Day in Ukiah CA"
Very comfortable, spacious and clean room, appreciated the dacor, a second upholstered chair and a table to share would have been nice, large bathroom (handicap), noisy AC but then most hotel/motel room heat and air conditioning equipment is, wished there had been facial tissue in the room, gracious hosts, clean pool even though I did not use it. The […] only real complaint was the lobby kitchen was ill designed, lousy flow, everyone was bumping into each other going back and forth getting what they needed in a small U-shaped space. The utensils & plates come first, not some here and the rest on the other side of the space or smack dab in the middle of the counter. A second waffle maker was a critical but missing need. Why was the back door to the building close to the inside stairs next to the conference room always unlatched or wide opened, was it locked at night? Otherwise it was a good Labor Day weekend stay while visiting relatives and will stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A travel stop dream"
Most of the hotels on our 9-day trip were of a lesser quality than their reviews suggested. This one exceeded the reviews. The overall appearance and condition were perfect, and the lobby contains a massage chair. $1 for five minutes upon arrival after a long drive. It's irresistible! Room was big, clean and comfortable. "The Best Western in Ukiah - conveniently located -"
The room was very nice, clean, well-stocked. The only negative (and it wasn't enough to give a lesser rating) is that the light switch controls power to the microwave & wasn't readily obvious. Getting pretty flustered & ready to call the office for a replacement, I happened to notice a tiny sign over the switch. By tiny, I mean a little strip above […] the switch. That might be better served if it was a bit more noticeable, as well as a note that the fridge should be turned all the way up if you really need something cold (like milk). The room was very clean and comfortable. All in all, we enjoyed our rest in Ukiah very much. And, this has nothing to do with the motel, but take heed, if you eat at Stars. We looked in the motel guide for a place to eat. Stars was located very nearby and sounded quite promising. We were warned. It DID say generous servings. OMG...generous is an understatement. We were starving, overate, and STILL needed a "doggy" bag to take half of it home. Delicious to boot! Obviously, at these rates, it's not the Ritz, but I'd recommend it and definitely plan to stay there next time through. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

we've staying in multiple hotels in the area, and were very pleasantly surprised to find this one. the staff was very friendly and our room was very large and comfortable. even though it's right next to the highway, we didn't notice any noise, which was our main concern. definitely the only place we will ever stay again in ukiah!

The staff at this hotel was very helpful. They were able to recommend on issues even outside from just being a tourist, but on doing business in Ukiah. I found them extremely helpful and willing to accomodate
"DONT GO HERE!!!"

At midnight the staff start working and they are very noisy. At first we thought they were doing construction. We couldn't sleep with the BANGING and slamming of cupboards etc.. We asked them to quiet down but that didn't work. They were even louder at 5 am. We heard the staff laughing about the complaints they got from other guests as well. We complained to the clerk who said the Manager would contact us. We made multiple calls asking for a response but none was given. Even Triple A tried to call the Manager as did his Corporate Office but he did nothing and never called us back. DON'T STAY HERE if you want to rest and be treated like you are a hotel guest.

This hotel was clean, neat, new looking and kept up well. The rooms were very nice, clean and fresh looking. The internet connectivity was great. The breakfast is great for a free breakfast. It's 30 seconds off the highway.
"Good value for the price"

This hotel was very clean and provided good service. The location was handy for getting around the Ukiah area. The hallway did have a slightly smoky smell, probably from the rooms that allow smoking, but our non-smoking room was fine. The main drawback was that the vending machine for beverages was not working and was not marked as non-functioning, so that was disappointing. However, everything else was fine and a good value for the very reasonable price. Everything was clean, and the staff was nice. The breakfast is included, and you can make your own waffle. The premade hashbrown patties were not good. The sausage was good; the eggs were okay. The danishes were very good.

A value hotel, you get what you pay for. The rooms are comfortable and clean but the you can easily hear the people in the rooms next to you. With just the normal conversations they were having, it was so easy to hear them. So if you want a quiet room to get a good night's sleep, this hotel may not be good for you. Breakfast was at the low end of the spectrum when it comes to "continental" breakfast. Location is good if you are just passing by town for a place to stop overnight.
"Nice hotel in the heart of the Redwoods"

The Best Western Orchard Inn is typical of what you'd expect from Best Western--a clean room in a well maintained hotel at an affordable price, but nothing fancy. This hotel is adjacent to the freeway, a couple of blocks south of the main cross street (Perkins). It's located behind a real estate office which looks like it's part of the hotel, but isn't. There are no restaurants or stores in the immediate area, which is a bit unusual. They offer a free breakfast which is slightly better than most--with pre-made omelets in addition to the usual waffles and cereal. The breakfast room is small--part of the lobby--and you can't get away from the TV. Rooms come equipped with a refrigerator and a coffee maker (one of those one-cup makers that doesn't make good coffee), the decor is pleasing, and there's plenty of room.
""An Odd Town"
12/15/13 Douglas M Leaburg, Oregon
Hotels seem to be hard to find in this town. As with other properties, this Best Western is located down a small aide street, and unless you saw the sign from Hwy 101 you may have difficulty locating it. Rooms were fine, though now that I see a picture from a previous review of a dog in the bed, I'm slightly grossed out. Thanks for that, 5p0rtyDogs. Breakfast was sub-standard. Rubbery egg patties and really old sausage were the offerings. I opted for a waffle, which was only slightly better. Aren't there better hotels in this town?
"Very nice rooms, convenient location, reasonably priced."

Everything about this motel is good except the entrance, kind of difficult to find and enter when you see it for the first time. Rooms are very nice and quiet. Self-serve laundry is a plus. Lobby breakfast is typical, better to go to a normal restaurant.

The clerk on duty in the morning was not very pleasant and was responsible for replenishing food items for breakfast and made me feel like it was an inconvenience. Took 15-20 minutes. The clerk on duty when I checked in was very pleasant and helpful. When asked about a restaurant he recommended one very close to the hotel and found the food very good and the prices very reasonable. The evening clerk would encourage people to return for future stays. The morning clerk would discourage people from staying there. The sleeping room was very well equipped, must better than expected for a Best Western.
