We arrived a little early and our room was not ready. We came back several hours later and were directed to a room that someone was already staying in. We walked in on the person. Then we were directed to another room where the air conditioner made very loud noises and the front panel fell off in the middle of the night. Not once were we asked by the […] staff if there was anything they could do to make our stay better and not once was anything offered for all the issues we experienced while staying there. The restaurant is a cafeteria at best. Every time we ate there we felt like we were bothering the staff. We had to ask for refills every time, and that was only after our glass would sit empty for several minutes. The only positive I would say about this hotel and our experience would be the taxi drivers were very nice and very informative about Belize and the city. The other staff members overall made us feel not welcomed during our stay. Read more

Needed an overnight in Belize City on short notice. This hotel really filled the bill. Nice, clean rooms and attentive staff. Restaurant on site with good food and excellent service. The only negative comments I have is that the AC in our room never quite was cool enough for us, despite the fact that we had it on high the whole night. The courtyard is beautiful and our experience with all of the staff was outstanding including the security. We did not have to leave the hotel since the restaurant was right there and served all 3 meals. We truly enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

The first room we were given had a strong smell of mould. There was black mould on the wall near the air conditioner and the bathroom ceiling tiles were damp and soggy around the shower. When the shower was turned on, the shower head fell off and hit my husband in the head and of course the floor became flooded. We had to stay here for one night. It is outside of the city, but close to the airport. It is a very dated hotel and the internet connection was horrible. There are no elevators, so we had to drag our bags up a flight of stairs. The "breakfast" was the grossest thing I have ever come across. Beautiful Hotel, well kept. Dinning room is excellent food and service. The pool area is a problem, they let someone give swimming lessons in the pool and there is not enough room around or in the pool for guest because of all the kids and parents. My family and I travel quite often to Belize. We always stay at the Biltmore Best Western. The rooms and beds are very comfortable; rooms are always clean the pool is very nice and the on-site restaurant is wonderful. The hotel staff is EXCELLENT!!!!!

My stay was good toward the end of the trip after they fixed the internet and the airconditioning in my room. The hotel service has to improof as well. After 3 days at the hotel the staff became more friendly since they were knowing me.

The Best Western appears to be an older property, but is maintained well. Taking into account it's location it's easily the second best hotel to stay at in Belize City and the best value for the dollar. It's a good base camp for seeing Belize.

I cannot emphasize enough how poorly the hotel performed. After two nights, I erelocated to a different hotel. The wifi does not work in the rooms and sporadic at time in the lobby and other "claimed" places. The reception will state they they were not aware. She says the same thing to each customer. I witnessed her doing so while at the front desk. The […] bartendar had to pull of a recipe book to make my drink. It was wrong. I pulled recipe from my computer and she still could not get it right. The bar area had a stale odor. The ice machine was outside, nearly empty, and appears not to be cleaned. My wife and I spent two nights with dinners both nights at the hotel. It was clean and comfortable and the food in the resaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Since this was the first time I had ever been in Central America, I did not know what to expect. At first I thought that I and my two teenage boys would just get there and then find a place to stay . My friend just couldn't imagine that and it made her nervous. So I decided that I could at least book a room for one night just in case I did not like […] it. That was definitely a good idea because it would probably have turned out to be quite a fiasco. So I picked a place (The Best Western) because it was familiar to me here in the U.S.A. We ended up staying an additional night so we could go on other tours which we booked there in the hotel. It was a nice place to stay especially looking around at some of the other posssible choices. Importantly, being a widow with two children on our once in a lifetime chance to do something that we as a family will remember for a lifetime, I felt safe. Read more

During the weekends, the hotel hosts functions that can make for a noisy stay if you're close to function room. But besides that it is a great hotel just outside the main part of Belize City.

The management in the Hotel will say anything to get you there but once you are there they refuse to work with you the hotel overcharged us and refused to make good on it.... Did not feel safe Bars on windows and doors of all businesses around the Hotel..... The Radisson is the place to stay!!!! We will never go back to the so called Biltmore..

the hotel was fine. we wanted to be close to the airport so that we would make our flight out back to the states for sure. the hotel had a pool, fitness center, bar (for those who drink ) and a restaurant and gift shop...all helpful...i like 5 star hotels but the price was right and this hotel got the job done!!

We have stayed here several times however this time they were overbooked. They sent us to another hotel, we had booked 2 rooms and the difference in rates amounted to $50.00 US. We asked if they would make up the difference - finally offered a token buffet meal - far from the $50 value. We have always said this place was overpriced - North American […] prices - not your normal Belize value for meals and drinks. So this has us planning our next stay at a different location - we will not go here again - unfortunate but considering the cost for this hotel they certainly need to cater more to their guests.
