The bulls and bears of industry tread the streets of the Financial District, home to the city’s tallest buildings, including the iconic Transmerica Pyramid. The towers give way to The Embarcadero, the broad, palm-lined avenue that begins at the San Francisco Giant’s AT&T Park and ends at Fisherman’s Wharf. The road passes by the Ferry Building, a landmark transformed into an artisanal food market.

Efficient (features like self check-in and guest request closets for supplies) with wi-fi and serviceable fitness room made it a good stay for this business traveller. Elevators are slow is my only complaint.
"Modern and priced right"
Perfect choice for me...close to where I needed to do business, clean, modern, great work desk. Room relatively small as most are in urban centers and not a whole lot of eating or entertainment options nearby but walking distances not too long and great option for business trip
"Good Rate, but Not Much Happening in the Area"
For the rate I got, it was a good, comfortable, clean room. I was a little disappointed that there were not many place opened around the financial district. It seemed restaurants and coofee houses closed early or were not open at all during the weekend. Thankfully the transportation system is good so we could get to places that were open and active […] . "Clean, Convenient & Affordable!"
I recently stayed at CQ-SF for a business trip. The room was a bit dark, but clean and very well laid out. I was impressed with the complimentary purified bottled water feature on our floor. The rates were very affordable considering its location. When I arrived to my room and noticed there was no ironing board, guest services quickly brought one to […] my room. I later learned they are available in an amenity closet down the hall. Make sure you pay attention to street signs if you park on the street overnight - street sweepers arrive early in the morning and you will get a ticket! I highly recommend waking up early, going to the pier, and watching the sun rise over the Bay Bridge - magnificent sight! Read more
"Perfect location, friendly staff with no letdowns."
Needed a place to stay that was close to an event I was attending, and this location was perfect walking distance to three different venues. I had pretty modest requirements / expectations, and this hotel fit the bill nicely. It also happened to be one of the more affordable options I found. Parking is very expensive regardless of where I would have […] ended up, so I can't really complain about the cost I had to pay at this hotel. All told it worked out great. Read more
"One of my best hotel experiences"
I travel all the time for business--almost weekly. I live on the east coast and rarely have travel to the west coast, so when I needed to attend a San Francisco conference I decided to come in a day early to enjoy the weekend in the bay area. The conference hotel was expensive, and I found an amazing deal at Club Quarter on Hotels.com for under a ridiculously […] low rate. Usually you get what you pay for, but the Club Quarters exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff was consistently helpful and friendly. I'm a quirky traveler and like to have certain things in my room: a comfortable bed (check) with the comfort of a weighted bedspread (check) and feather pillows (check--at least they had the comfort of feather), free wireless (check), a roomy shower (check), good workspace (check), in-room coffee maker (check). I don't care much about flat screen TVs, but a nice one was positioned to view from the desk or my bed. The location was terrific--even on a Sunday morning I could visit a Starbucks within two blocks in either direction. The onsite restaurant looked terrific, but it happened to be closed for renovations that weekend (which might have contributed to my low rate). I moved to a "company-approved" hotel Sunday night (less than the conference hotel, but more than twice the cost of Club Quarters) but wish I'd just stayed at the Club Quarters the entire time. It would have been worth twice what I paid (but I wouldn't admit it to them!). Read more

"You get what you pay for"
I definitely chose this hotel for it's appealing low price. Located in the financial district, this hotel is definitely marketed towards business travelers -- there were lots of airline workers shuffling in and out all weekend. While the location is a quick walk to the Ferry building, the area is 100% DEAD on Sundays. Saturdays aren't that bad. As […] far as comfort, the beds are rock-like. I woke up with a back ache both mornings I was there. Beware. Also, because it's geared towards business men, the amenities are limited. While not important, the shampoo/conditioner quality was very low. The room was not super updated, but it did its job -- minus the back aches in the morning. I probably would not stay here again if returning to SF. I'm not 100% disappointed in my stay, but think there is better in that big city. Read more
"Perfect for our needs"
This property perfectly fit our needs. It is almost next to the Transamerica building, close to public transportation, yet not in the middle of the tourist hubs, therefore avoiding the homeless, traffic and crowds associated with that. The rooms are small - thank goodness we traveled light with only backpacks. We were only there to sleep so it was fine. […] The adjacent Elephant & Castle Pub has a good selection of beer, a decent menu and we had no problems with noisy drunks (our room faced away from the street though). It didn't seem to attract a party crowd, mostly other guests from the hotel. We could've easily checked in and out without ever dealing with the hotel staff, thanks to the kiosks in the lobby. I would stay here again. Read more
"Group Quarters, San Francisco: Close and Clean!"
Because San Francisco is such a great City to walk, this hotel is especially great because of it's proximity to the Embarcedero and Market Street. Most importantly, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Great stay!
"Would definitely stay there again"
Very clean, updated, and good location to financial district. I thought it was great value for price. I would definitely stay there again.

"Club Quarters in San Fran - Great Value"
The room was clean, service was excellent, and the location is perfect. It is not a luxury hotel - but for the money the bed was comfortable, everything in the room worked, and the hotel was conveniently located.
"Hotel Club Quarters in San Francisco"
We had a great time. The hotel is close to the Embarcadero and transportation to the wharf. It is within walking distance to Chinatown. Our only dissatisfaction was in the lack of parking. We had difficulty pulling up to the hotel and then had to pay $32.00 to park our car in the nearby public parking garage and cart our things to the room. The parking […] expense wiped out the savings we made booking the room. I would recommend the room to others as long as they understood the extra cost and inconvenience of parking. It would be great if the hotel, at least, offered a discount on parking. It should at least be made clear that parking is available at an extra charge. Read more
"Club Quarters San Francisco"
We love setting up in the financial district of S.F. because we can walk to almost anywhere we want to go. Club Quarters is centrally located and a good value. Park the car and leave it. Street Parking is very difficult and Enforcement is brutally aggressive and wants your money.
"Company Club Rocks"
This is an excellent hotel. The check in and check out is automated and quick. There used to be three free computers. Now there is one, but that is better than nothing. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is free coffee and tea but no hot cocoa, which would be my preference. The location is convenient for me. I wish I could afford to stay there […] more often. Read more
"Club Quarters - Perfect Weekend Stay"
I booked a room for this hotel for an overnight trip for my little sister and I. When we got there we were able to upgrade our room to a suite for only $25.00.. The service was wonderful, the room beautiful as well as the whole hotel, perfect location for our San Francisco Touristy trip!

"Awesomeness"
If you want quality, convienence and value all rolled into stay at Club Quarters in San Francisco.
"Great hotel for the price"
I was very pleased with this hotel for the price I paid. Great location, looked new, nice restraurant/pub connected to the hotel (so you can take your drinks to your room or order food to your room). Although it would be rated a 3-4 star hotel by elite standards, I give it 5.
"Great Place to Stay!"
We had a kitchette room on the 7th floor and it was great! The room is plenty large for two, bed was comfortable, the shower has immediate hot water with excellent pressure and there's a hair dryer and shaving mirror. The thermostat worked fine for cooling or heat. The hotel is adjacent to an English pub style restaurant that also offers room service […] to hotel guests. The "Living Room" is a nice area of the hotel to read a book, watch a game or go online with free wifi. Couldn't bring your laptop? No problem as the hotel has computer stations in the Living Room for guest to use for free. Coffee and tea are available there 24/7. There are free bottled water stations on the room floors by the elevators along with a closet that has extra pillows, blankets, an ironing board and even coffee packets if you've used up the ones already in your room. The hotel is within walking distance of the Embarkadero, Pier 3 where cruises depart, and the Ferry Building. The F line bus is right there to take you to Pier 39 and Fisherman's wharf or on to the Castro. If you're looking for a quiet spot to enjoy the sun, there's a rooftop area on the 11th floor with table and chairs. The hotel was clean, quiet, comfortable and a pleasure to stay at. Read more

"Most civilized hotel!"
Great hotel, great service. A little far from the places I normally frequent but there are always cabs outside. When polite inquiries failed to shut up the neighboring room's 2:30am party, I was forced to call the front desk. The noise level decreased noticeably quite soon after that. Would prefer it if the smoking rooms' window opened as the atmosphere […] became pretty thick. Still, a SMOKING-ALLOWED ROOM? In SAN FRANCISCO? I will definitely return. Loved it. Read more

"Great location.....but expensive early check-in"
Good points: 3 computers with free printing in the 1st floor business center, free wifi in the rooms, 5-minute walk to the Embarcadero BART station for easy airport access, good neighborhood - short walk to China Town and the Ferry Building. Bad point: I arrived at the hotel at 1030am after an overnight flight from Asia. Although they had rooms available […] and ready at that time, they charged me extra for the 'early check-in'. If they had thrown me the bone of a free early check-in I would have fallen in love with the hotel chain. They didn't...so it's just a business relationship....a competitive one.....that needs to be evaluated. Read more
"Good value"
Stayed in a standard room. It was clean and nicely appointed. Would definitely stay here again.
"extremly small room"
no parking in site. you have to use public parking cost you $32-$36 for 24 hour. about 5 minute to walk
"Clean, comfortable and good location"
Rooms were on the smaller side but comfortable, clean and well maintained. Very good value. The location is downtown in the financial district so if you are travelling on business a pretty good spot. If you are a tourist most attractions are not that far away (Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf, GG Park, etc.). You can park on the street Saturday after […] 6pm for free through Sunday which saves you about $30 vs. parking in the nearby parking garage. Read more

"Pictures are not Always what they seem to be"
Small rooms, paid for an upgrade, but the upgraded room was just as small as the first one. Asked for a higher floor room because of traffic noise, I was transferred from 2nd floor to third floor facing same street. No Human interaction. I didn't think it was worth the price.
The rooms are right over a bar, and we were on the 2nd floor, so you could hear every drunk smoker came out on the street to smoke and yell at passing cars.
"Don't count on sleeping if you stay here!"
This hotel is next door to a pub, which kept us up all night long, all 3 of the nights that we stayed there. This had an effect on us throughout the day, as we were exhausted from having an interrupted night's sleep the night before. When we told the "on duty" manager, all he could say was, "I'm sorry." It is also SUPER tiny in the rooms. I wouldn't […] recommend more than 2 people to share a room (even that was difficult for us). However, it is close to Chinatown so that was nice. Just ask to stay on a higher floor if you do choose this hotel. Read more
"CQ in SF is done by people who think!"
Have you ever gone to a hotel, looked at something, and thought "if someone just say back & thought, they would see how this could be better"? Club Quarters is like that - little inconveniences in hotel stays are removed by smart people sitting back and figuring out how to make everything better. I will definitely be looking into staying at Club Quarters […] in other cities. And no, I am not from their marketing department - I'm an actual guest, who stayed here for a holiday. :-) Read more

"Happy with my stay"
I was happy with my stay at the hotel. I booked at the last minute and still got a great price on a room. The restaurant was excellent as well. The beds were a little firm for my taste, but I was still comfortable and happy with the room.

"Convenient location and modest surrounding areas"
The location is very convenient. Not far from Chinatown, the BART, the Piers, and transporation. Located in the financial district, you don't have to worry about residences and unnecessary noise. The surrounding neighborhood is very safe to walk at night. Parking is available for $32 overnight diagonal from the hotel. They offer coffee and tea in the […] lobby, a game of chess, and free internet access with printing. However, the rooms are very small in size and you are lucky if you do not get a view of the buidling next to the hotel. The room offers a microwave and refrigerator for your convenience. I would definitely stay at Club Quaters again when visiting San Francisco. Read more
"Fine but not great"
Travel every week for business around US and Europe. Arrived with car - no place to park it while checking in - parking underground in Embarcadero freaky and spooky alone as a woman at night although of course nothing happened. Lobby ultra dark and somber. Room spartan, and small window depressingly depicted dark courtyard. Slept fine two nights. Woke […] up last morning to the people next door giggling and talking very low - heard every word and nuance. Was very, very lucky that they and other neighbors had not done anything louder than that. Overall fine, but depressing. For the price probably cannot be beat in SF. Read more
"Excellent choice in SF"
Club Quarters in San Francisco is very comfortable; rooms are small, but hey you don't do much more than sleep in your hotel room anyway...rooms are well appointed and aesthetically pleasing. Neighborhood is great and walking distance from key Market Street locations.

"Great For Business"
Great, affordable place when I'm staying in the city for business on an overnight or two. Clean, efficient, and affordable.
"Ok for Business, Not for a Fun Weekend"
I dropped my Blue Blazer on the floor and was SHOCKED by what it picked up!! Not Good! Way too stingy with towels. Only One hand towel? Mattress was just 5 inches or so of foam. ouch! Cold water machine seemed like a treat until I discovered it was Out of Order Would probably not stay there again, and will not recommend to others. Sorry...
