Not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. ALthough it was a nice neighborhood, access to transportation was great. The hotel itself was very old, staff was ok but not very friendly. Cleaning staff was below par, found previous tenants trash still in room.

We booked this hotel for a week and I was terribly disappointed. The hotel was run down, bathroom filled with mildew - so much it even smelled like mildew. We informed the front desk that there was a light out in our room and it was not fixed until the day before we left the hotel (and only after I confronted the front desk person angrily). The breakfast […] was the saving grace of the entire hotel, there was an ample breakfast in a clean updated lounge area. The sheets looked and smelled dirty, the beds were uncomfortable. The carpet was marked with stains all over. For the price of the hotel, you could stay somewhere better for less. This is FAR from a 4-star hotel. It seriously needs improvement. Read more

I picked this hotel because it was off the beaten path. Since I was visiting over Queensday, I knew the areas closer to Dam Square would be overpopulated during my stay. The staff here were welcoming and helpful. My room was cozy and clean and well maintained daily by the staff. I woke early and enjoyed the vast complimentary breakfast before walking […] the block and a half to the nearest tram stop. Within 5 minutes I was at the Museumplein and within 10 minutes we reached the Leidesplein. I walked quite a bit but the convenience of the trams and buses being so close to my hotel saved me quite a few steps. There is a grocery store around the corner along with various other shops, cafes and restaurants. It was the perfect neighborhood to stay in to enjoy the partying atmosphere and still be able to have a quiet respite when the day was done. I recommend this hotel to all travelers who want to experience the day to day and not just the tourist filled areas of Amsterdam. Read more

Well located very close to public transport and a small shopping area. Rooms are very clean but average size for Europe - that is, rather cramped for overseas travellers with large bags. Tea/coffee available all day in foyer. Breakfast is continental style and okay. Stayed 10/11/12 Nov 2011. Staff really friendly and helpful. Room clean, beds very comfortable, plenty of hot water. Most of what we wanted was in the room. Buffet breakfast more than filled the bill – cheese, ham, cold meat, jams, various breads, rolls, crisp breads, cereal, boiled eggs. Beware – No dining room and no drinks/kettle in bedroom, although […] DIY coffee/tea available 24/7 in breakfast area. Although promoted as 4*, it is really a 3* 2 minute walk from tram stops for 5 and 24, and very easy access into town centre and attractions. Get yourself an electronic ticket which can be used on buses, trams and metro – 1hr, 24hr, 48hr, 72hr, 96hr. Time starts running from when you first use it. You can get it at the tourist office at the station at the airport, and various other tourist offices around town. Would have appreciated better directions to find hotel using public transport. Go to tram stop called Apollolaan, which is on Beethhovenstraat, just after (before) it crosses Apollolaan. The stop is on the middle of a bridge over a canal, although you may not realise it. Come off the bridge back away from the centre of town, to the traffic lights, and turn right into Apollolaan. Hotel about 50 m on left. Go back to Beethhovenstraat from hotel and turn right. Lots of restaurants, shops, even a small supermarket. Ate at an Italian De Barone, on a recommendation from a review, and it was great food and service. About €50 for 2 including drinks and tip. Delphi Hotel is in a very nice residential area of the city. Close to a main street where trams are available to get about the city, and local shops provide a reasonable range of shops and restaurants. The room was a decent size and well furnished, looked out onto a courtyard behind the hotel with a small balcony. En suite again was a good size with […] a small bath in for those who dont want a shower. Staff were friendly and helpful, continental breakfast was adequate and staff replenished all items regularly. This would provide a good base from which to spend a long weekend in Amsterdam. We drove from UK, about 250 miles from Channel Tunnel, 3 to 4 hours. Would definately recommend. Read more

This is NOT a 4 star hotel. There is enough mildew in the bathroom to make me sick to my stomach. The carpets are faded and stained. Bedding is old and needs updating and regular cleaning. The rooms in this hotel need updating, everything looks very run down in the rooms compared to the pictures. The curtains and drapes are dusty and made me sick. Everytime […] I took a hot shower the fire alarm went off due to steam. I asked for a bulb to be replaced infront the mirror so I could see myself get dressed and put on my makeup, and 2 days later, still not fixed. The breakfast is generous and the dining area is the only part of this hotel that I would give 4 stars. The location is quiet and transport is easy. This hotel is siuated in a quiet, very pleasant neighborhood with plenty of quality good value restaurants and excellent shopping. It is an easy 10 minute tram ride into all the Amsterdam action. There is no airconditioning in the rooms and our first two days had 30 degC plus temperatures which made for a couple of uncomfortable nights. This hotel was a real find, out of the centre of Amsterdam but 2 minutes walk to the nearest tram stop. Staff were friendly and helpful, tea and coffee were provided free in the lounge area, breakfast was plentiful and good restaurants were within walking distance. Het onthaal was correct maar ook niets meer dan dat. Erg van harte leek het niet. De kamer zelf was ruim genoeg, de badkamer was eerder klein. De kamer rook niet erg fris. Wellicht hebben voorgaande gasten er gerookt. Het was er ook wat aan de gehorige kant, niet zozeer van de straat (onze kamer keek trouwens uit op de zijstraat) maar wel van de overige […] gasten (gang, (boven-)buren) Het beeld van de televisie was erg gestoord. (korrelig) Het draadloze internet werkt prima. (wel vervelend dat je telkens opnieuw moet aanmelden als je je browser afsluit) De ontbijtzaal bleek wat te klein maar het dient gezegd dat de ontbijtdame wel haar best deed om de tafels snel af te ruimen van zodra er eentje vrij kwam. Een goed hotel voor redelijke prijs. Heeft 4 sterren maar het is eigenlijk 3 sterren hotel. Er is geen waterkoker op je kamer maar beneden in de keuken kan je thee en koffie drinken. De bediening was vriendelijk en de kamer net, maar oud. Badkamer was vrij nieuw, dat was wel een aangename verrassing.

Das Hotel liegt in einer sehr gepflegten und angenehmen Gegend. Auch die Entfernung zur Innenstadt war nicht zu groß. Man konnte die Innenstadt mit ihren vielen Sehenwürdigkeiten sehr gut erreichen. Wir hatten ein Standardzimmer. Alles recht alt, aber in Ordnung. Das einzige, was nicht so gut war, war das Frühstück. Das Hotel ist gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln angebunden, aber für einen Städtetrip dann doch zu weit ab vom Schuss. Zudem sind die Zimmer sehr "verschönernd" photographiert: unser Zimmer war bei weitem nicht so hell und modern eingerichtet wie aus den Bildern zu schließen sein könnte. Zudem hatten wir zwei einzelne Betten, die zu einem Doppelbett […] aneinander geschoben wurden, was auch nicht besonders gemütlich ist. Wir hatten reklamiert, dass der Safe nicht zu verwenden ist. Dies wurde an der Rezeption zwar aufgenommen, passiert ist aber nichts. Bezüglich der Sauberkeit und der Größe des Zimmers gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist enttäuschend: eine Sorte Käse, zwei Sorten Wurst und ansonsten nur abgepackte Brotaufstriche. Die Brotauswahl ist für den deutschen Brotgeschmack ebenfalls sehr ernüchternd. Das Best Western Delphi Hotel ist hübsch eingerichtet und das Zentrum von Amsterdam ist mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln von dort aus gut zuerreichen. Unser gesamtes Zimmer war eher klein und vor allem im Bad war es sehr eng. Zudem war das Frühstück in Ordnung, aber nicht unbedingt überragend.

Ett litet men trevligt hotell, personligen skulle jag kalla det 3-stärnigt - inte 4, men ändå helt okej. Att jag bokade detta hotell berodde delvis på att frukost ingick, den var ganska sparsmakad, men det som fanns höll god kvalitet och var fräscht.

Bien situé à proximité des trams, calme. Quartier résidentiel agréable. Chambre spacieuse et propre mais plûtot désuette. Inconvénient: balcon commun avec chambre voisine. L'ensemble, bien que satisfaisant, correspond davantage à un 3 étoiles et non pas un 4 étoiles.

Das Hotel liegt ca 3 Km vom Stadtcentrum entfernt. In unmittelbarer Nähe befindet sich eine Straßenbahnhaltestelle. 2 Linien fahren in die Innenstadt. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer ruhigen Nebenstrasse. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig. Kann man weier empfehlen.
