"Close to Capitol Reef"
It was a nice hotel for the area. Things are pretty simple in Torrey and the surrounding area. The room was nice and clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was clean and above average, however missing the included breakfast of most hotels in this category. Stayed in new room with great view of the mountains. Staff didn't really offer any suggestions for dinner outside of the on site restaurant. We visited at beginning of season, Torrey wasn't really all open for business yet, though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Basic hotel with clean rooms and friendly service. We are a Family of 5 and plan on staying again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The check-in people were cordial at best. The motel is a fine, clean, simple place. Resort? I don't think so. The "tennis courts" was something out of a Chevy Chase Vacation movie - it was so buckled and poorly maintained that you would have had a hard time finding a single spot where the ball might actually bounce up! The pool was supposed to be "year-round […] heated outdoor pool" - sorry it was closed. We were traveling with our 3 young children and the pool and tennis courts are what drew us to this "resort". Very disappointing. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Reasonable place to stay"
Stayed for 2 nights. Excellent location with great views to the surrounding red rock country and Capitol Reef. Staff is pleasant. Rooms need some updating, air conditioning / heater units need replacement as they are so loud that you need ear plugs to sleep (particularly in the first room, changed the room for the second night and the unit there was […] less noisy but still loud enough!). Rooms are clean and spacious, beds could be better, bathroom is tiny. Decent value for the location, but no included breakfast in the rate, which was surprising since all the Best Westerns I have been to had really nice free breakfasts. WiFi was a fast and consistent. Overall, good and comfortable place, but needs some work. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Option in Middle of Nowhere"
After a tour of southern Utah, Best Western became the chain of choice. The Best Western "Plus" hotels are the best. This one was not a "Plus," but there is relatively little selection in Torrey, Utah and this one was the closest to Capitol Reef National Park. The location was closet to the park and the hotel was fine, just not as nice as some of the […] other Best Westerns in the state. Breakfast was not free and the wifi didn't work. This hotel has exterior rooms. Still probably one of the best options in the middle of nowhere. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel in a fantastic setting"
Our experience here was wonderful. The grounds are set up to enjoy the wonderful views, picknic tables at one end, pool and hot tub in the middle area, and a large grassy lawn at the other end with water features. It's conveniently located about one mile from the entrance to Capitol Reef so the views from the hotel are just like being in the park. The […] staff were all very friendly and helpful, the food and service in the restaurant were good, and the room was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel. "Nice Hotel but eat somewhere else."
The hotel was very nice and they were very helpful when we got to our room and realized that we needed to upgrade to another room so we could have a frig for our babies milk. They upgraded us at no charge. We had a great view of the red rock behind the hotel from a little deck off our room. The only bad thing about this place was the restaurant. We […] ate at the place across the street for supper and i would recommend it but for breakfast we ate at the hotel restaurant and it was by far the worst meal I've ever had. Cold and tasteless. The coffee was so bad I couldn't even stand to drink it. Stay at the hotel but eat somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great View of the Capitol Reef"
Was a nice hotel for a Best Western located in the 'out back'. Staff was friendly, room was clean, views stunning! 2nd time we've stayed there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was fine. T.V. reception was poor. It was clean which is most important.Genuine Expedia guest review
"View and pool the best part"
The view from our room was AMAZING! The location - just outside the park is terriffic. The breakfast is NOT included int he room -unlike most Best Westerns.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was clean and the outdoor seating was nice. Our room had a nice view of the rocks. No breakfast was included but a restaurant was on site. We had a modest dinner of soup while visiting. The soup was a surprise from the normal chicken soup (cabbage based) but was homemade and tasted fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Seond time we've stayed at a Best Western Plus"
Great room for a great price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great place. We were on the back side and the view from our room was stunning! Spent a few hours sitting outside, watched the beautiful sunset and saw a star filled sky. I would highly recommend this hotel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our room had a beautiful view! Rooms were nice, comfortable, & well kept. No fridge or microwave though. The ice machine was in a convenient location. The laundry facility was nice too. The friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff wasn't great. They almost acted inconvenienced when we were checking in & out. No complimentary breakfast either. "Great Stay - Great View"
Our stay in this hotel was last minute, and this was actually the last room we could find that would accommodate the small group of us that was traveling. We arrived quite late at night and we were all quite tired for a long drive. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Being someone who is a bit taller than average I was impressed by the […] shower head height, it was high enough that even a person in our group who is over 6 foot had a nice shower without bending over. The next morning when we went outside the scenery was fantastic! The setting of this hotel is wonderful and after seeing what some of the other hotels in the area had for a view the next day we were glad we stayed where we did. If I return to this area again and need somewhere to stay this will be the first place I will try to book. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Reasonable value for money"
a reasonable value for money. Not many choices in Torrey. Good breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
While we experienced some problems and the night staff did not satisfactorily correct those problems, the morning staff more than adequately apologized for the inconvenience, assured us that the problems would be resolved, and made us some very nice offers. We had already decided to depart the area a day early so we did not end up accepting the offers. […] I felt that the morning management staff was completely sincere about correcting the problem areas with both the accommodations and the staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"On spring break vacation!!!!"
My initial room was extremely noisy, young adults were in the two rooms above me and they were running and making noise. I thought it was young children, however when others complained about the noise outside of their doors I knew it was young adults. The staff was very helpful and put me in another section of the hotel that was very quiet. The views […] from the room were breath taking and the restaurant there was very good and extremely reasonable. I would stay there againe. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Winter stay at the Best Western Torrey was great"
We arrived in Torrey about 9pm after calling the Hotel to be sure they knew we were arriving late. The room had two queens, was spacious, had a deck with awesome redrock views. The included breakfast was very good, hot western omelettes, bacon, sausage and when we arrived at the breakfast nook a bit late the staff brought out some fresh hot coffee. […] Beds were very comfortable. Chris at the desk was very helpful. Winter is off season and there was only one restaurant open, and it was ok. "Wouldn't cash a Traveler's Check"
This hotel is 20 miles from the nearest bank. I needed to pay for a tour provided by a local operator and wanted to give a cash tip. I asked at the desk if I could cash a $100 Traveler's Check and the woman refused. Given their location, far from any bank, they should have been prepared to provide that service.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good value, great location"
Perfectly adequate for travelling with kids. Pleasantly surprised by how great the service was. Very clean. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good, clean hotel, I would stay again."
Hotel is a few miles from Capital Reef Natl. Park. We had spent the day in Bryce Canyon Natl. Park and were going to Capital Reef and this hotel is conveniently located. It was clean, the hot tub and pool were well maintained. I was pleasantly surprised as the last time I stayed in a Best Western they were old and shabby. I would stay here again. This should be a great place, just outside the park gate. But only restuarant is across street; good place but expensive. Lots of rooms, ask to be away from street, motor noise on a hill.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Western Torrey Ut"
The Hotel was fine. No problems. Just don't eat at the "Inn" caddy corner across the street from the Hotel. It costs $$$$ and the service is so/so at best. Not very nice people at the restaurant but nice at the Hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overall fine, except for:"
the air conditioning...when turned on it sounded like an airplane engine. Because the hotel is so close to the highway, it can get noisy so you want the window shut. Then the room gets stuffy, so you have a choice, to stay hot and stuffy or listen to the highway noise of trucks and motorcycles. Good location to the park though, nice restuarants near […] by and good price (breakfast is not included) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Western Capitol Reef Resort"
Overall a decent hotel - great views outside our room overlooking the red rock cliffs! I would have liked the hotel to be a little closer to the action and be able to walk to the coffee shop/Subway, but you have to drive a few miles.(a challenge in the am, to get the kids up, dressed and to breakfast elsewhere). It was a litte too cool/windy for the […] outside pool (though the pool had a wind screen all the way around)...the girls were bummed. We were lodged in building in the back and on the backside--I felt it was more like a motel with entrances from the outside. It was kind of awkward to get all the luggage down the stairs and down the long way to our room. I would have preferred to stay in the main building (though I think those doors open to the outside as well?). I am assuming so...maybe it should be called a "motel", not a "resort". "Room was comfortable. Some staff unfriendly."
The receptionist found it hard to smile so it was not a warm welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was clean and bright with reasonable food. The restaurant cashier (manager?) looked miserable and he sounded grumpy.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful stay at Best Western Capitol Reef"
The hotel looked a little off putting from the outside, however, once in the room it was everything and more. You parked outside the door, had great facilities including fridge, tea & coffee, 2 beds and great AC. Opposite a great restaurant and close to the Capitol Reef NP.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good location but not great value..."
The hotel is in a good location for Capitol Reef National Park. The room was a good size but the bathroom was dreadfully small - difficult to close the door without turning sideways! The main downside was that for the price, it didn't provide any kind of free breakfast. These days that is pretty bad. The room also didn't have a fridge - most others […] we stayed at have provided this as standard - when you're travelling through the desert, you need to start the day with cold water and drinks in your car. The restaurant attached to the hotel appears to be part of it but is managed by different people - overpriced and boring menu.Since Torrey is a tiny settlement, there aren't too many places to choose from. "Capital Hotel is close to Capital Canyon and thats"
The room was clen and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant served a very good freshly cooked breakfast and dinner menu was very varied and well cooked. But i would not stay here again as the plumbing was very loud. You could hear upstairs flushing and showering and the pipes banged a lot which was very disurbing when trying to sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nearest Hotel to Capitol Reef N.P."
Only about 5 min away from Capitol Reef N.P. in the middle of nowhere. The hotel has a restaurant and there are two more nearby. In "downtown" (5 min by car) you can find a gas station and a Subway. Great view from the room, rooms are tidy. Good value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK but stayed at better"
Beautiful surroundings but hotel itself was OK. The outside door was not sealed properly as we could see light coming thru. We put a towel on the bottom of the door to make sure we wouldn't have any unwanted visitors that crawl. There was debris on the carpet at the entrance but I think it was just wind blowing stuff thru the crack. Besides that it […] was clean but still not something to write home about. Would recommend reluctantly because it was one of the more expensive hotels on our 32-day stay in the USA. Location wasn't brilliant but we were en route to Moab. No free breakfast but good value for the ones we bought. Not excited about the area. Saw some nice humming birds in the restaurant across the road.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
