We would recommend Omni Cancun and stay again. Only complaint is Expedia's requiring a lengthy write-up in this box to tell about our experience instead of just letting me send in their completed survey. So maybe this is long enough now to meet this Expedia requirement.

The weather was perfect, pools and lounges satisfying and of course the beach was outstanding. We had a great stay. I enjoyed the food, it was different for me and I like trying something new. My friend was not as pleased but not negative . The staff was accommodating and pleasing. I really don't have a negative.

We booked a room with two double beds two months in advance. Upon arrival we were taken to our room---it had a full kitchen and dining area, two couches, marble floors and TRUNDLE beds. Singles. When I asked to be moved, they told me the hotel was 100% booked, but to come back in the morning. They definitely made it right, upgrading us to a nice ocean view for the trouble. They were quick and responsive. i will definitely be back. Beware that decent wine will cost extra, and always tip. You'll be rewarded with amazing service just for a few bucks here and there. Never met a staff person I didn't like. special mentions to Karla, Francisco, Geraldo/Gerry, Jesus and Sergio.

Everyone was very helpful and welcoming. The food was outstanding, and the beach was beautiful! The tour coordinator (Jose) was one of our favorite people we encountered! We would highly recommend Omni to anyone traveling to Cancún!

Unfortunately started with an unpleasant experience at check in when they tried to put us in a double twin bed room when the reservations were for king with lagoon view. Moved to a king with garden view which was occupied! Then miraculously the room we reserved came open. Once you get past the sales people, it is a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The hotel staff is very professional and hospitable. Good selection of tasty food to satisfy most people. The room, grounds, pool and beach area maintained in an immaculate condition. Ocean swimming was fun, the bottom was sandy no rocks or coral. Monitored very closely by the lifeguards.

Busy the whole day ... you need more than 24 hours to enjoy Cancun and around. Despite everything is quite expensive, there are more than one experience cannot be missed. Taxis are not needed, buses go to any along the peninsula for just $1.

There is nothing bad to say about this resort. The staff was friendly. They done a good job of taking care of us with service, kept drinks coming, kept food coming, and there was always plenty of food available. Most of the staff spoke pretty good English. Our room was nice and clean. All of the pools were clean. There was most always something going on at the main pool. If I had anything negative to say it would be that there wasn`t enough chairs at the beach. You need to be there at 7 - 7:30 to reserve your chair.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at this beautiful resort!! The staff were all very friendly and almost everyone had excellent English, from reception to restaurant staff to the activities coordinator. The views from our room were lovely, ocean view as we had requested, though the king size bed we had booked was not. We were told a room with a king size bed would be available in three days and that we could move at that time, but we declined as we did not want to move rooms halfway through our vacation. However, we had friends who checked in two hours later who did not request a king size bed but who received a room with a king bed. As far as the restaurants go, there were three available for dinner reservations only as well as the main buffet. One of the three restaurants was an additional $35 USD but had a premium menu which we decided to go ahead and book, however when we went to the restaurant on time for our reservation, there was no one there. We thought we had the wrong place so we checked with concierge, and were told the restaurant would not be open because of a problem with the AC unit. This would have been fine, but no one notified us of the closure and there were no reservations available at the other restaurants which was disappointing for our last night there. Finally, though this is an all-inclusive resort, I would suggest bringing small bills to grease a few palms for better service, otherwise you may not get a drink on the pool deck or beach!

We have stayed at other resorts in Cancun, but this was our first time at the Omni. Our entire experience was wonderful. The location is excellent. The food and the drinks were excellent and plentiful. The entertainment during the day was fun and varied. The shows at night were absolutely superb. We really loved our experience at the Omni. We are hoping to take our children, their spouses and our grandchildren there next year---19 total! There was so much for all ages to do and experience that made us really want to share the experience with all of our family.

Had never been to Cancun before; recently stayed for 5 days with my brother. Really appreciated the opportunity to have our bags watched and a room to change into our swim suits while our room got ready - missed out on zero beach time. Restaurants were great - food ranged from good to excellent. Enjoyed the nightly entertainment - just wished there could have been more activity in the hotel lounge (music, karaoke, etc.) Staff was great, room was nice - just a really good stay.

This was our first time at Omni Cancun (our first time in Cancun) and it was Amazing! Our view over looked the ocean and at night we could open our balcony doors and fall asleep to the ocean sounds. We have stayed at 5 other resorts in Mexico and this one was the closest we've come to the beach. The room was very nice and very clean. Three of the restaurants required reservations...we were able to make them the same day (that is definitely a first in our experience). The staff was wonderful! Very accommodating, friendly and fun! Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

We expect 4 stars hotel, by pictures and ratting..... but I would say it's 3,5 stars hotel, no more than that. The food options is limited, few restaurants, one of them for adults only :( Steakhouse is for extra charge. Beach is open without single palm. There is no kids pool. Evenings were boring....cause they don't provide enough entertainments and activities. If price is good for you...go, but don't expect 4 stars hotel. As for me, I would not go back again.

I'd never considered Cancun because I thought that it would be expensive and that it was "far...far away. The bottom line is that from Indy it's easy to hook up a direct flight---only 3.5 hours---they're in the Eastern Time Zone, so we didn't even have to reset the clock---English is widely spoken---the weather in early February was sunny and 80 degrees every day....the beach was perfect....the hotel was modern and spotless.....I wanted to abduct the smiling Mexican staff and take them home with us.....there's a bus stop right out in front of the place that is very clean and safe---you can jump on and go anywhere in Cancun for the tidy sum of 1 American dollar....ocean waves to sleep by with the door wide open every night.....an all-inclusive so you could feast 3-4 times a day if you wanted and it was included. By the time you factor in food and drinks, this place was an incredible bargain. No more expensive than Florida, and as long as you stay in the touristy areas it feels a whole lot safer than the good old US of A. Pay the few extra bucks and get the ocean view. And set a day aside to visit some of the Mayan ruins. I had no idea that anything like that still existed in the Americas.

My husband and I have been to Cancun 5 times now. We've been to other resorts (including Adults only) and we have to say that this was probably the best resort we've been to. The food was excellent, the staff was friendlly and the beds/pillows were very comfortable. The only thing we weren't thrilled with was the nightly entertainment. That's about the ONLY thing that wasn't better than the other resorts we've been to. Also, when checking in at the front desk make sure you ask for a room that doesn't have adjoining door. The doors are thin and you can hear EVERYTHING that goes on next door. If, you want to reserve beach chairs.. make sure you get out there early. They go fast!!! The website also states that two restuarants require a dress code. The only one that really requires it is the Italian restuarant (Davinci's). It also states that men can't wear Polo's. But, they can. It's only a short bus ride down to Walmart. We even stopped mid-downtown and got massages. They were alot cheaper there for a couples massage than the spa at the resort. Oh, a word of advise.... there are no books or magazines that are for sale in English there. So, bring your own from home. We also used Best Day for the travel to and from the airport. We've always used them. They are great!!! If, you decide to go to this resort, you won't be dissapointed. HAVE FUN!!!!

This is our 3rd stay at an all inclusive in Mexico. Our previous stays were at Playa and Puerto Vallarta and this was the most costly of the 3. The staff was kind and property was nice. Upon check-in we were asked if we would go to an adjoining property for our first 3 nights as they were overbooked & they would put us in an ocean front room (we had reserved a lagoon facing room). We agreed. But, it was quite an inconvenience. The ocean front room did make our decision a little easier. The pools were cold so we never swam in them. The food was not as good as the other 2 places we stayed and the drinks were poor quality. Had this been the first all inclusive I had stayed, I may have been okay. Unfortunately, I know differently and based on what we paid I expected better food, warm pools, and better service from the front desk personnel. Additionally, we agreed to listen to their presentation on becoming members with good intentions. They offered us some benefits in return. We had to fight to get those and ended up not being able to get one of them. We wasted we figure about 6-7 hours of total sun time from the inconveniences caused by being bumped to another hotel, having to move our stuff back, them taking us to a non-ocean front room (we refused it as the agreement was an ocean front), waiting for the right room, going to the presentation, and our repeated failed attempts at claiming what they agreed to give us. The food service staff was good to us. (we tipped well)

Overcrowded to the point we could only eat dinner at a restaurant that required reservations at 10pm. Wine tasted like water, so paid $30 for a bottle then charged $250 on credit card that was told would be reimbursed at end of stay. Had to ask for wash clothes daily. No chairs on beach available. Tub did not drain and there was a foul smell coming from the drains in the floor of our room the first night. Need I say more.... Staff was not friendly except bell staff!

When we checked in, we were suppose to have a King Oceanfront, which they did not give us. They said that was just a request, not a guarantee, which why should you even book a specific bed if that's the case! so later the second day, after several attempts, we finally did get our room, had to pack up and move! The resort is clean, except they don't clean the beach off from debris, like a lot of the other resorts do. The food was the normal all inclusive food, the breakfast could have more options. The evening dinners are wonderful but book the day before to get in. The property is in a good location, and overall its beautiful! The evening, the outside bars close down early, the entertainment is not too exciting!

hotel was excellent. Staff was very courteous. pools were clean. I thought the food was good.Went on a jungle tour thru the BEST DAY staff there. Didn't think it was that good because the snorkeling didn't have much color. Was expecting more color from the coral and fish. Don't know if we were to have gone thru a different tour place if they would've taken us to a more colorful place or not. It was more brown and grays. If you haven't been to Cancun before the airport coming back is a experience you won't forget. You will need every bit of the 3 hours that they give you to get on your plane.

The resort was nice however every where you turned they were circling you like sharks wanting you to buy something.Even when you went to get pool towels it is set up in an buy something situation.The food was terrible even breakfast. How can you mess up Breakfast??Sushi bar and La Vista were the best they offered. We are Members and that is why we stayed there but I will take my chances somewhere else.

Judy and I just spent 6 days here celebrating our 45th anniversary. Check-in, front desk help, and dinner reservation desk were a delight. The number one highlight of our review has to be the staff. Every single employee from concierge, to waiter/waitresses, to towel dispensers, to activity directors, to bartenders, to room cleaning staff, to security staff, to grounds staff were happy, polite, and always very, very helpful. Their eager attentiveness to our needs really made our trip memorable. Our room faced the lagoon so we missed the ocean view and had to "settle" for exquisite sunsets from our balcony every night, Everything about the room was great. Beds were very comfortable. Always had hot water for baths/showers. Mini-frig was always stocked with water, sodas and beers. Food: Buffet was very good for breakfasts. Lunch and dinner were just okay, but we could always find choices we liked. Menu breakfasts and lunches at the beachfront restaurant and sushi at the sushi bar were really excellent!! Al a carte restaurants, Indonesian and Italian, ranged from very good to excellent with excellent ambiance. (Loved the accordion player at the Lido.) Pools were very cool. I enjoyed an occasional refreshing dip, but Judy was uncomfortable, so we spent all our time in beachfront lounges. Always got down there between 7 and 7:30 am to reserve lounges, with our towels, that were in the first row facing the ocean.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick weekend getaway and selected the Omni because it is fairly close to the Cancun airport and was all-inclusive. It was just what we needed...time away with no responsibilities. Having been to Cancun several times, I think this hotel was nice for a relaxing weekend, but I think we would have been bored if we had stayed longer. There weren't a lot of activities and the food was just ok. It could have been the time we went, however. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but would probably look to stay somewhere else next time.

My husband and I just returned from a 6 night stay at Omni and we're already planning our return. The staff members were gracious and attentive. This resort has one of the nicest and largest beachfronts in Cancun. The swimming pools were large and beautiful. The food on the buffet was good, we really liked the Deva restaurant down on the beachfront and we were fortunate enough to get reservations there 2 nights during our stay. Our room which had a beautiful view of the lagoon/bay was nice but had a fairly strong musty smell that could have been remedied by laundering the bedspreads and curtains.

Awesome experience with Omni. Very clean hotel and room. We got the lagoon view (room 2121, 8th floor) and the lagoon view was spectacular with sunset. Wifi connection in room was ok due to we were a little far away from lobby. It was stronger in lobby area. We got 2 double bed and yes they were so small with little hard mattresses therefore 3 star rating. All inclusive food and drinks were well worthed. Attention family with kids cant book for Davinci restaurant dinner. Walks to beach were not far at all and yes they have ramps for stroller leading to beach area. Staffs were so welcome and respectful and I meant everyone. We were not harassed for timeshare at all. Pools were nice but colder. Beach had big waves and the water was very clear and clean. Not very happy with the hotel's money exchange as they only had 1 rate and it never up to date to current rate and it was only 1 way meaning you can exchange back to US dollar.

Beautiful beach and ocean with Caribbean colored water. Amazing to see with 2 feet of snow on the ground back home. The Hotel was just about fully occupied as to be expected during the high season of February. Even so, the staff was fast and we never had to wait for a drink or for something to eat.

We checked in fine, staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room we got was on the ground floor and had some odor to it, but at first couldn't point to whats it was from. Shortly after unpacking we figured out that over the sink there was a leak from room above. One side of the wall and celing were all wet, so the smell was mold that was forming. We told them what was going on and they have told us we coule have a different room. When we went to check it out they gave us two twin beds. We went back and asked to talked to a suprovison and she got us a king bed that we ordered. Not too many things for kida under 5 yeara old. Our son is 2 years old so pool was only place. Our flight got canceled do to snow storm and we had to rebook for 3 days later and hotel charged us 2 nights penalty "hotel is not in the storm" so custumer pays. On top of that they told ua they didn't have any more rooms to extend our stay so we had to book with a hotel next door and pay $700+ for 3 night and they gave us credit $200 for 3 nights that we missed. When we got there hotel had plenty empty rooms. Hotel epressed that it was expedia not letting us know that they had rooms and just wanted to schedul another hotel. So who knows now who is lying. Not happy with how the situation was handeled and it costed us more money.

Very impressed with the staff at this hotel. They were courteous, helpful and always doing something. Nobody stands around doing nothing. Loved the restaurant and bar located near the ocean. What a spectacular view. Very relaxing. The food was pretty good. We preferred the restaurants where you could order off the menu instead of the buffets, but that is a personal preference.

Nice 3 star hotel on the beach with very friendly staff. Quality of the rooms not up to par though. Shabby towels and bathroom shower head. Also very poor quality toilet paper. Entertainment staff made up for it. Also was worth the price for all inclusive, many options of where to eat all through out the day.

Food was excellent- never had a bad meal! DaVinci Restaurant was an excellent fine dining experience which was included in the All Inclusive Deal. Sushi bar was excellent. Staff was very friendly for the most part and seemed happy to serve. We had massages at the spa and would highly recommend Jazmine! Hot tub pool bar was the highlight of the many pools there.
