Food was excellent- never had a bad meal! DaVinci Restaurant was an excellent fine dining experience which was included in the All Inclusive Deal. Sushi bar was excellent. Staff was very friendly for the most part and seemed happy to serve. We had massages at the spa and would highly recommend Jazmine! Hot tub pool bar was the highlight of the many pools there.

I did not receive the room i reserved. I spoke to management and manager blamed this experience on expedia. It was very frustrating to had to deal with this. I was offered a new room the next day but needed to pack my luggage. It was not a fun experience.

Upon checking in, they said there was no king beds, but they would wait list us and call; They never called. We had to physically pushed together two double beds, and the room was smaller than expected. They were dishonest about the view, said it was high up, turns out it was on the second level. I was very dissatisfied with the whole Dinner experience . We came in for only three nights, and found it impossible to make dinner reservations any time before 9. First they would tell us there were no reservations available, and then grudgingly tell us we could eat at 9 o'clock or 10 o'clock at night. After many complaints they finally squeezed us in at 7:30 PM and the restaurant was half empty. The main dining restaurant was under construction so had to eat outside, and it was very windy, da Vinci was closed one nite and there was no reservations to be had at the other restaurants. The first evening upon returning to our room from being out all day on the beach, our room was still not cleaned at 5:30. The drinks were better than three star, but not consistent. We rented the Thai bed, and Consuelo, our server was wonderful. Overall this hotel was not worth the price.

Beautiful hotel with lots of great amenities. The sushi bar, and Viva !exico restaurant during the day are yummy!!! Da Vinci and Deva for dinner are superb! Staff is very friendly, food is great, drinks are strong, clean resort, beautiful beach, and all around a fantastic stay!

We stayed at the Omni as a family, my husband, 2 young children and me. We had a wonderful time! The layout of the resort is wonderful. The grounds are pleasing, the pools look wonderful, the restaurants each had their own feel and the beach was amazing. My 7 year old is autistic, and I was looking for a large resort that wasn't too loud a comfortable, safe, relaxing atmosphere. This was it! The wait staff and housekeeping were all very friendly and went out of their way to help us feel comfortable. We stayed in an executive suite, which was nice for us. We had 2 double beds and a pull out bed with an extra large space and nice balcony. The beach was our favorite space. We absolutely loved having our chairs under a thatched umbrella so we could enjoy both the sun and shade. Drinks were offered to us throughout the day, which we all loved!

I had a great experience at Omni. I read that the hotel was built in 1988, but you would never know from the hotel's appearance. The hallways are beautiful, as well as the rooms. The staff is wonderful! They are so attentive and pleasant. Anything I asked for was provided to me. The food is pretty good in La Paloma (the buffet). I found dinner was better when I reserved seats at the restaurants (which are included with the all-inclusive package, except for one). The beach is gorgeous and there was no struggle for beach chairs. I would definitely stay with Omni again....a hidden treasure!

We have stayed at the old dreams and Excellence and opted for a place that we could stay longer for a decent price. We definitely saw the difference. When we checked in, they did not have a king bed- they tried to give us two double beds---- even though our reservation confirmed it. I was pretty upset and after 15 min they "somehow" found one for us. We were asked to buy at their vacation club (which is a new term for time share!) immediately-- before we had even seen our room. The view was awesome from the room. We spent most days at the beach which was good. The food was ok-- sushi was very good and so was their restaurant La Vista (which costs extra but SO worth it).

Very good hotel. The food was good to very good depending on the restaurant. We liked the hot tub and bar on the beach. To get good drinks you need to ask for extra booze. If you want hangout at specific location[ beach, pool, spa] you need to get there early. Overall, very enjoyable.

This is a great place to vacation. I have been to many areas of Mexico over the past 20 years and this is one of my favorites by far! The staff is great - if you want something, just ask - they will make is happen. The pool areas are well kept and the beach is great as well. The rooms are modern and always clean. The only downside to this hotel is that the wifi was extremely slow at times - but I can live with that. We are already planning our next trip back to the Omni!

This is a really clean hotel with a great staff. The bar staff was amazing as were the waiters. The food was alright... not the best. The taco restaurant was awful and the pools close at 6 pm. I really liked our stay overall but really wish the food was better.

Overall, the resort was nice and we had a pleasant family vacation. The location was nice and the beach was clean. We encountered an initial inconvenience with the room we booked. We booked a king size bed, but instead we received two double beds. The hotel manager, Emanuel, offered that the staff would bring the two beds together and nobody did even after numerous reminders. They finally switched us to a king size bed the next day and offered nothing for our inconvenience besides 20% off a massage if we wanted. The food was decent and no major complaints there. The room had a shower head that was spraying in multiple directions and it never seemed to get cool. The pool staff was very gracious and Ignacio was very kind.

My husband and I spent 11 days at the Omni for our 20th Wedding Anniversary and it was Fabulous! The staff was friendly, helpful, polite and absolutely delightful! We felt like family! The hotel was spotlessly clean, the pools and decks were fantastic and the beach area was kept very clean! The food at the All the restaurants and snack bars was magnificent with a wide variety! The wait staff everywhere was superb!!! Even on the beach...always available...always with a smile!!! We have made several trips to Cancun and Mexico and this was by far our Best hotel experience ever!!! My husband are in agreement that there isn't anything the Omni could have done to make our trip more perfect! We plan to visit again in May and the Omni will be our choice that trip and all future trips to Cancun! Thanks Omni for a Wonderful Vacation Experience!!!!

Pleasant, everyone was friendly, there is plenty of places to eat, we favored the sushi bar and the buffet for places to eat. We didn't care for the two reservation restaurants, @ Divinci we were told we couldn't have more than one main course food, the servings were meager, but tasty, would have been happier with the buffet. There was some shows outside by the main pool in the evening, that was pretty cool. There was always a bar nearby or somewhere to eat. The service was exceptional. Room was always clean and the mini fridge was refilled daily. Zero complaints except for the vendors that are there out by the pool in the evening, stay away from them, they will lie through their teeth to get a sale, and everything they have you can get at a gift shop or at the aiport cheaper than what you can talk them down to. Will be back again for sure!

My friends and I were looking for a winter getaway to Cancun and we ended up booking here at Omni Cancun. We're all pretty young in our early 20s and looked for a resort that had a younger crowd like us. We went in early January and our stay was nothing short of amazing. We had all of our expectations surpassed from the moment we arrived. Service was excellent and the rooms were cleaned every day. As soon as you check in they give you drinks and escort you into your rooms. The pools and beach were clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and the bar on the beach with the swing seats was an awesome addition to the resort. The hotel turned out to be more family oriented than we expected as we met a lot of nice people with their families as well as new couples. However this did not take away from our experience at all and if we could go back we would still book a reservation at Omni Cancun. A big thank you to everyone at Omni for their great hospitality and service, you made our trip to Cancun an amazing. Gracias amigos que volveremos pronto!

This was our first vacation with our 16 month old and overall it was a very positive experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodated all our requests regarding our baby. At La Paloma, upon our request they even cooked a special soup for our baby. The rooms could get a little bit of upgrading, but it was ok.

A very pleasant stay, good friendly staff and good food. Could use more hot tubs as it was January and a little 'chilly', both of the tubs were overflowing with people, so we did not get to use them. The only minor thing I would mention would be the moldy smell on all of our clothes after the stay. Not the first place we have stayed in Cancun, but would go again.

We planned a last minute family vacation and this hotel was perfect for our family. we asked for an upgrade when we arrived and we were able to get a Villa for $100 more per night. It ended up being a steal of a deal because we had a private entrance to pool and beaches with three master bedrooms, separate baths,living room, kitchen and dining room all with ocean views. The package was all inclusive including alcoholic beverages top shelf. The main dining area is a buffet that was great for the kids ages 14/18. The breakfasts were amazing. There were other restaurants you could pay more for,we could never get in. The only night dinner was a problem was Sunday night. It was mostly seafood and not for us. The staff is extremely friendly. There were many options for pools and hot tubs. The swing bar on the beach is fun. Do tip your servers, bartenders and housekeeping because they work very hard (20-50) Pesos is average for servers but we gave $10/day to housekeeping and they stocked our fridge with soda, water, beer and juice. This was super convenient. Do some research about airport transfer. We got scammed by airport hustlers on transportation. Go downtown by bus. Cheap and easy. This is a relax at the beach resort, not a party all night place. The grounds are very well maintained.

This might have been a good economy resort if it weren’t for high price I paid, occasional disappointments and sloppiness. I mean while it’s a plain-looking hotel, overall quality of service by staff is pretty good including front desk and waiters. The hotel is nice and clean with good balcony views. The staff were accommodating and professional. However, here is a list of a list of disappointments: - Their definition of ‘all inclusive’ may be a bit different from yours. Out of three restaurants (buffet, Mexican and ‘Fancy’), they will charge you extra at the Fancy one. - They serve dinner only till 10pm. After that your only option is room service. It’s only $5 extra, but it’s the same limited menu all the time. And they really want to make that extra $5: you won’t be allowed to take any food from all inclusive restaurants to your room and they will watch you and block your escape routs to make sure you won’t get any food to your room. - You have to repeat three times what you want over the phone when ordering room service and still they may forget an item or two. - On some days all inclusive main restaurant menu looks rather somewhat basic. - Bring your own alarm clock or use the one you have in your room: they run wake up service manually and often call your room ether a bit early or bit late, up to an hour. - Don’t be surprised if an evening shift front desk staff including manager don’t know room service and gym hours. pros: very quite. (good for people who just want to rest all day) jacuzzi bar cons: -very small pool area -rough, and rocky beach (we were not allowed to swim in the water, so we had to walk down to the beach in front of grand oasis cancun which has more shallow, and calm water) - no day/night entertainment -some staffs were very mean (especially staffs at the pool grill&bar)

The property was so nice and the staff could not do enough for you. We were pampered and made to feel so special the entire time we were there! They could offer higher end alcohol on an upgraded package but other than that the place was outstanding! The restaurant that was not included in the all-inclusive pkg was worth every penny! So many choices at every turn and the food on the premise was always GOOD! Sushi to Mexican to lamb stew, etc. all of the food was delicious!! I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxing beach stay or a fun place to play!

We had a great time at the Omni. Everything was very clean and nice. The staff was excellent. We weren't sure what to expect of the food because so many people complain about food at all-inclusives, but we thought it was great. They had lots of different food options and a few special events while we were there (e.g. lunch on the beach!). Our favorite treat was the sushi bar...the sushi was delicious! We also really enjoyed having breakfast on the beach every day at Pina Colada. The pools were awesome. The room was really nice. And every day you wake up to the amazing Caribbean. We really had no complaints.

We paid unbelievably high price for simple, no frills hotel. No entertainment, rough sea, but great food. Very simple, basic hotel, that is good for low price. WE would expect nice party for the New Year Eve, and it was organized at the last minute as very simple pool party. The hotel was trying to charge big bucks for the New Year Eve party, but when it failed, they decided to throw pool party. There was nothing to do at the hotel, one overbooked restaurant Da Vinci that was always full and we have to eat at 9 pm. Too small for this resort.

Third time out in Cancun, 1st time at Omni & it was surprisingly great! After misunderstanding upon arrival about the room without a balcony, we were given one with balcony, some rooms don't have balconies there, so beware. Also, this hotel and its rooms do not smell of mildew as much as others hotels I stayed in. Important if you didn't bring a lot of clothes. We got a 2-double bed room for 2 adults and a child. Roll-away beds were available for $50/day, so we managed without it. Rooms are equipped with fridges with water, soda and beer, replenished every day. Rooms were clean and comfortable, manual A/C really quiet. I really liked spacious balconies with 2 built-in chaises, we used them every night listening to the ocean waves. Nice when your little one is asleep and you're stuck in your room at evening. There are stairs w/ easy handicap access to get down to the nice beach. Like in other hotels, you have to reserve a beach chair before 8 AM, after that they're all gone. I've seen many empty chairs all day long, people reserve them and not use them, that's not right when people throw one sandal or a hat to reserve a chair. Food was satisfactory, buffet had some variety, I wish there was more seafood. Separate, unlimited sushi bar open daily 12-5 pm made up for it. It was really fresh & delicious! Free Kids Club,actual room, air conditioned, many kids activities. Overall, great service, excellent nightly shows, clean rooms and location make this hotel a smart choice.

We had a wonderful vacation! We stayed in Cancun for 7 days. Our family travels often and we have had the opportunity to stay at 5 Star hotels. This hotel was perfect for our vacation. The food was terrific and the staff was very attentive. We will likely return to Cancun and stay at this hotel as it is great for a family.

The staff was very nice and worked hard to please. Food was also quite decent. One problem though seemed to be that there was a continuous shortage of beach/loungechairs. If one wanted a spot, one needed to reserve by 7AM. Same story at many of the pools. This is something that I believe could (and should, given that it is entirely predicatable when the hotel is booked at capacity) be fixed with more beachchairs and umbrellas.

Excellent place to spend a few days in the sun. Decent restaurants, excellent bars, entertainment. Don't forget to get dinner reservations a few days in advance.

Stayed for 5 nights-really good food buffet to nice restaurant Italian, Asian, etc. clean room. Drinks- alcoholic and non/alcoholic all the time- served near by the beach! I would highly recommend

The only negative about the hotel is that there is no easy access for strollers to the hotel. We were physically carrying the strollers to and from the restaurants to the lobby and there are around 15-20 steps.

food is sucks, room maintenance is horrible water was dripping from the ceiling at the bathroom and water is not going down at the bath tub but no one fix it until we get back

I stayed at another all inclusive in Cancun 9 mos ago, paid about the same price. The other resort was far better-better food, drinks, rooms were cleaner, hotel staff was awesome--- they actually waited on you at the beach more frequently. At the Omni drinks were extremely weak and tasteless. The other resort had more restaurants to eat in when the reservation only restaurants were booked. We had to eat out 3 of the 5 evenings - buffet really not good! Buffet was 100times better at the other resort. At the buffet they would cook omelette in front of you. I will not go back to the Omni- big disappointment. Nothing to do at resort after dinner. Let's not forget the infection in my lungs from the mold in the bedroom.... Not good- would not ever recommend
