I am a single business traveler and stayed in one of the Budget rooms which they advertise on their website to single travelers because of its smaller size. I saw a few reviews by couples complaining of the small size which means they were going for the cheap price and not reading the room description. Actually I would have no problem as a couple in this room either, just not much room for luggage. The room had excellent heat, wall mounted hair dryer, coffee pot with coffee pack provided, plenty of hot water for the shower.

Situated in Bucksport, Fort Knox Park Inn is on a river.

Guests are served a complimentary breakfast each morning. In addition to coffee in the lobby and an elevator (lift), Fort Knox Park Inn features air conditioning in public areas. "Good stop on way home from Acadia"
Bucksport is about an hour south of Acadia, which worked out well for us. We got partway home, spent the night, woke up, saw the fort and rode up to the top of the bridge. Then still had a half-day of fooling around to get back to Boston by night time.

"Fort Knox Park Inn"
I recommend this hotel for its beautiful water views. When we arrived, the reception was very nice and courteous and checked us in with no problems. The room we were given was clean and meet our needs as we were traveling through to a function elsewhere. So, if you are looking for a clean, comfortable night rest, this is a good inn to consider.

This was a nice stay. It's not a new hotel, but well kept. Stay on the water side, great view of bridge and Fort Knox. Good restaurant across the street and river walk right out the door.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while visiting a friend. We found it to be a good value for the price. It was nothing fancy but it was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was also a convenient location, especially for such a secluded region.
