My daughter and I had a nice stay and we got a wonderful recommendation for a nearby restaurant. The Hampton Inn always has consistent, prompt service and I always feel welcome.

Good value. Smaller room but very adequate for 2 people. All we could expect for the lower cost of the room.

Find accommodations. I just wish they had two elevators since the layout of the hotel is so long. But that is a small point. The stay was fine. I'd go there again.

"Recommended...no problems"
Arrived late on a Thursday night. Room was clean. Hotel didn't seem that crowded for a Thursday night stay. Full Breakfast in the morning! Very delicious. Highly recommended. Experienced no problems.

"La Quinta Inn Rochester North is a nice hotel"
We spent one night in this inn on Saturday, 3 December 2012. Hotel staff were warm and professional.The inn was very clean. Breakfast was good. We were surprised to see quite a lot of guests putting up there during this winter season. We would like to put up there in the future if we travel to Rochester again.

I travel frequently and spend about 75 nights in hotels. I have stayed in LaQuinta Inns many times. Unless your "Dog friendly" policy changes, I will not do so again. We stepped on the elevator which quickly became crowded. One dog owner was on the elevator when we stepped in. Just as the door was about to close on a very crowded elevator, another […] dog owner squeezed in with a huge dog. A scramble ensued as everyone tried to avoid the big dog. Unfortunately there was no place to go. The big dog slobbered on my clothes and others as the dog owner alternately made half hearted attempts to control his dog and also laughing as if he thought the whole thing was cute. As we settled in for the night, I couldn't help but wonder how many dogs had occupied the room before me. At LaQuinta not only must a guest worry about getting a clean room, but he must also worry about getting his clothes and luggage infested with fleas We were awakened the next morning to two dogs barking. Hotels are for people, kennels are for dogs. I will be very carefull in the future to book hotels that accomodate people only. Read more
"Perfect for us!"
For a short-term stay in Rochester, look no further than the La Quinta. Convenient access to I-490, you can get anywhere downtown in 10 minutes. The lobby and reception/lounge areas are very nice, and the staff is pleasant and helpful. Reasonably priced. QUIET and easy to some rest as well.

"Clean but not a great part of town"
Very clean. Scary part of town though and the SALVAGE yard next door was a nice touch. The wedding party screaming the 'n' word amongst select others was disturbing. Spend the extra $25 and stay in the Holiday Inn Express.

The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful with directions and suggestions and accomodating my husband who is ill for early arrival and check in. The rooms are old and although the room was non smoking, they still had strong odor indications. The carpets were soiled and stained. There were no ice machines on the floor, only the first floor. Had to find a room for us when we arrived, though they had the reservation in their system. The room they found was smoking, not non-smoking as requested. Would not guarantee a room at that time for the rest of the stay. Had no managers on duty who could resolve the problem. "Good Value"
Clean, comfortable and convenient. We stayed one night as a stop-over on a long trip. Very convenient to downtown. We visited a local museum, and the hotel was only 5 minutes away. Would definitely stay here again.

We were quite pleased with our stay...room very spacious and clean. Only issue the shower curtain which was too long so therefore mildewy, however, informed the manager and trust it was taken care of. Excellent selection at breakfast.

First appearances are not great as it is located behind a gas station & in a more industrial area, but don't be put off. The hotel is clean & quiet & the staff are pleasant. "Rochester's hidden gem"
What a great hotel! I stayed the weekend with friends in Rochester and spent the nigh at this hotel. It's a walk's distance from a Wegmans and right near the entrance to 490/390. The room was clean, the staff was super friendly, and free breakfast in the morning was awesome!

The initial reaction to the up front discount made us think it was not a AAA Inn. Low and behold, the Inn was visually nice and clean, The rooms were spotless and comfortable. My sister and I stayed here for one night because we came to Rochester for a concert and didnt want to drive all the way back home after the show.
