The owners could not have been nicer. They were warm and outgoing and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. We spent New Years Eve at the House. The husband, a gormet chef, prepared a New Years Eve dinner that was extraordinary!! A traditional English country side home. Small rooms but spotless. We would return!!!

Dartington is a special place, a restored medieval hall. Very beautiful and the rooms are up to 21st. century standards. The one mild problem was the WIFI was touchy; one had to stand by the window for it to work. Very reasonable priced.

The receptionist was really helpful and friendly. Housekeeping has to be improved, they changed my towels when not needed and forget to remove empty items from my bedroom. Breakfast was not really good, I arrived 45 minutes before the end of it and the buffet was empty, they did not refill it. Otherwise the bedroom was fantastic, large, clean, tidy. […] It was worth paying the extra for the Master. The hotel is 5 minutes walking to the centre, 10 minutes from the Barbican which is a lovely area. Read more

Fantastic stay at the Duke of Cornwall, the hotel and location was great. But the best thing of all was the staff, they made every effort to help and assist even to the extent when I left an item in my room they sent it back to my home address. Would recomend this hotel to anyone and I will be staying again at this location.

We booked this hotel for one night and had a family room. On the whole it was clean and well appointed. There were a few splashes of tea around the tea/coffee tray, but otherwise no complaints. The only thing I would say was that the bed was not fixed to the wall, headboard or floor and was on castors so effectively, we kept moving away from the wall […] when in bed. Fine for one night, but a bit annoying if you were there longer or expecting a night of unbridled passion ! Room service was quick and friendly. Read more
