"Clean, great location and friendly!"

We found the accomodations were very nice. It is cheaper to book it on the net. Dalhousie is a beautiful town and the hotel is in a central location. They have a lovely breakfast in the morning with a good selection.
"Consistently very good stay!"

I travel to the area often on business. The Dalhousie BW is my go-to hotel when I'm on the North Shore. Like other reviewers, I too make the effort to stay here, when on business in Campbellton. Campbellton does not have a rival to compete with the excellent service and modern rooms here. To me, a hands on owner is always a plus. Reza has in the past personally addressed anything that came up. The staff is both professional and courteous. Room is always perfectly clean, with large flat screen TVs and good internet. No issues. Looking forward to my next stay. (Ask for a room on the water side for great views)
"wouldn't call it a "Plus" per se"

I guess because Dalhousie is a bit of a ghost town now so traffic seems to be sparse. When we entered our rooms, it was freezing cold inside. Guessing they didn't want to waste money on heat since not a lot of people come visit this town? It was fine afterwards when we left the room a few hours and let it heat up. Um... when I first turned on the tab, both sink and bathtub... brown water came out first. Again, guess the rooms weren't used for a while? Continental breakfast was at least provided. And one very handsome staff Marc in particular was very friendly and helpful. Let's just say it serves its purpose...
"Excellent hotel friendly staff"

I have stayed here several times while travelling on business. Always have top quality accommodation, friendly staff both in the hotel and restaurant. If working in Campbellton, I will travel here it is worth the 20 minute drive.

The room was very clean, I inspect upon entering. The curtains made the room very dark and there was very little street traffic noise. I was looking forward to a good night sleep as I had been on the road since 4:00 am and it was 9:00 when I checked in.
"SUPER STAY WITH MY PETS!"
10/21/13 Lina C Sherbrooke, Canada
We could stay here with our pets fact that was very meaninful for us. I felt at home when I took the breakfast, because they prepared a kind of "Mexican style scrambled eggs". I recommend this place with any hesitation!
"Clean and Reasonable"

This was a very nice hotel we used as a family. The rooms were modern and clean and the beds comfortable. The internet was included on as many devices as you needed and for as many people as were in the room. The breakfast included was good or average. There is a restaurant open for supper but there was no place in the hotel to eat for lunch. We had to drive a couple blocks away.
"Karen and Allans stay"

Terrible to be honest! Don't waste your money and stay in Campbelton or somewhere else. Super 8 is way superior to this one! The food was horrid, the owner was ignorant and refused to accept responsibility for the atrocious services, the breakfast food was served on paper plates and the coffee in Styrofoam cups. The hotel was dated and "cheap" in style. Staff wore casual dress and seemed uninterested! Big NO NO!
"Somewhat quirky but over two days I warmed to it!"

The hotel is not in an attractive setting and the lobby looks somewhat dated as do the rooms but all the facilities are there. I did have a suite which was spacious, clean and with a good king bed and pillows. Flat screen tv and large bath. work area and good wi fi. The restaurant seems a problem for other contributors. There are admin problems here at times and the Irish barman may be a part, but with some charm. The food was ok, not historic but reasonably priced The locals seem to eat here so this may be the best choice in town. Breakfast is basically continental but as such is standard. I agree that the 'plus status is generous but enjoyed my stay ( apart from the weather! )
"This is a BW Plus?"

Not much has changed since my last visit to this location some two years ago... except that the on-site restaurant is no longer connected with the hotel and meals can not be charged to the room. The on-site bar is also a detached business and the music (when I checked in at 5pm) was so loud (it's right off the front desk) that an elderly couple that entered after me looked horrified (the woman clapped her hands over her ears). The TV in the room has been changed to a flat screen and the room was clean and bed comfortable. The noise of people using the restroom in other rooms was very audible and definitely not something I enjoy listening to, nor I imagine many others would. There is no pool or fitness room on site and minimal parking (most have to park at the back of the hotel and use the basement entry in the smoking area, which smells strongly of stale smoke. Also, the security feature of the basement door was broken so anyone could get in at any time without a key-card.) The breakfast is included, now that the restaurant is not open at that hour, but not up to par with the offerings of what a Best Western Plus normally has. The view on the back of the hotel is nice, looking out at the water. My room at the front gazed out at a brick wall. For 1 or 2 nights, it's passable. The bed is comfortable and the room clean. There is no fridge or microwave and, with the other issues, a longer stay might be better had at another location. There are no other hotels in the immediate area so this becomes the default place to stay. That being said, if I went back to the area I would probably stay in nearby Campbellton. If this location is going to be a Best Western Plus it really needs to fit the banner. If this were a basic Best Western it would still need some improvements but wouldn't seem quite so disappointing in its offerings.
