The pictures are deceiving. One of 3 chain installations within spitting distance of each other. Upon check-in, we were informed that we had received an upgrade in the room. Makes me wonder what the standard room is like. The brightwork in the bathrooms was scaly and beginning to rust. Sink basin was cracked. We live locally and needed to stay elsewhere for a couple nights. Sometimes out of town friends have stayed here.We decided to stay and were not in any way disappointed. Accommodations and personnel where most pleasing. We say yes to this Best Western in Corvallis.

Did like that they are using soap, shampoo & conditioner dispenser in the shower instead of those little bottles. Would like them to change a few of the fluorescent light to LED lamps. Didn't see anything that asked the maid service NOT to change the linens.

Everything about the hotel, the room, and the staff were great. We did have a few sleepless nights due to the guests staying in the room directly above us. They were noisy late at night and really early in the morning. Stomping? Jumping? We suspected it might be kids running around and then realized that the hotel accepted dogs. So maybe large dogs? […] Anyway, we did end up calling the front desk on one of the nights around midnight. They offered to talk to our upstairs neighbors. All was quiet for about an hour and then BOOM - more jumping around. It started again around 6 :30 in the morning. We will probably not stay again and I am disappointed because the only thing that keeps us away is the chance that we'll get another noisy neighbor. We'll probably stay somewhere with tighter pet restrictions. Read more

I am a stomach sleeper, thus these "Huge" pillows suck. Window coverings are wood louvered, and don't shut out the light from the floods shining on the building. Breakfast was good, but the room is totally too small for the few families using it when I was there.

Based upon some other reviews, (and the fact that I had foolishly thought I figured out Expedia's system and was guaranteed a different hotel in the blind booking process), I was Our room was newly remodeled, had a balcony, and the staff was incredibly helpful, even switching us to a top floor room at check-in in spite of being full. It is an older […] building, and that pokes through here and there, but with the remodel, our room was very nice. Additionally, the room was extra spacious with a sitting area and tv area in addition to the bed space. Things i didn't like: I do not care for the sink being in the room instead of the bathroom, and the lack of a hot tub is a deal breaker for me. With no hot tub, I'd personally go somewhere else, but if that's not something you'd use, I definitely recommend it. Read more

Checked in at 12:30pm, and they did allow me to check in early, which was a plus. Took them a while to notice I was standing there as there was quite a personal conversation going on in the back... I now know more than I ever wanted to! Was asked to fill out my breakfast request at the front desk... here was my choices: burrito or peanut butter and […] jelly sandwich. There were other things like juice and/or milk and fruit, but that was it..they are under construction/renovation so I guess they would deliver this to my room. I ate out. Construction (very loud) went on in the room directly next to mine until 7 pm!!!!!!! Called the front desk at 6:00 pm to ask them how long this very loud pounding and drilling would be going on in the connecting wall to my room, as I could not even hear the TV over the noise...they apologized and then came to my room at 7:15 to let me know that they had "been busy" and that the construction was now over for the night. Really? I had noticed it stopped 15 minutes before that! I did point out that when the construction stopped I looked outside and the security doors were propped open, and suggested that they CLOSE them, as they would normally require a pass key to open...thus, the idea of SECURITY! Had a very rough night, light seeping in from the hall around the door. I travel alot...this was quite different from what I expect from a Best Western so I am starting to think about abandoning this chain if there standards of participation have dropped. Read more

The only negative about our stay was that the hotel lobby & breakfast area was under construction. They provided an alternate breakfast offering but not the best. I think the hotel when it is finished with its remodel will be very nice.

The breakfast bar was not in operation and was under construction. Alternative breakfast was given to us in paper bag after ordering ahead the night before from a menu of choices. Bagged breakfast was not ready on time. Coffee in lobby was cold. When arrived in evening there were no tea bags available. Room was large and really nice. The challenge was the TV was not visible from the bed - on check out they said they have been doing some remodeling and that is not true in all rooms. This Was a quick Trip to See some family. The check in was easy and the front desk was friendly that time. Elivator is old but fast. Room large,clean nice bed and pillows. Fridge didn't Cool well but ok for drinks. Shower was hard to regulate water preasuer low but worked ok avoid breakfast. As we had some bathroom issues the one day we had it(sorry […] but we both only had a problem that Day, so no proof but to much of a coincidence not to wonder.) I've been staying at BWs for years; all over the country. To me, they symbolize good value, and what I call a nice stay. Nothing fancy, but not low-budget. You get a clean room, nice staff and a good breakfast for a good price.

The room was nice and clean. I checked in at 2am and it went very smoothly. Even though they were booked up I still got the room I reserved. Staff were friendly and helpful. The gym is pathetic and smells musty. The breakfast was good, fresh eggs every morning- even when busy.

Try to get a room on an upper floor, as the first floor is very noisy. The room I was is in was on the first floor down the hall from the lobby. The above story squeaked with every step. The sound of water being turned on was louder than usual hotels, and happened frequently for long periods of time. There's a storage room behind this particular room […] that is used throughout the day., and is very noisy. The staff also likes to yell down the halls to one another, as it is during the day. However, my son couldn't stay asleep though all there banter for naps. Moreover, i believe the noise issue was just due to room location. Think there needs to be more insulation in the walls to provide a better sound barrier as well as additional warmth. Next the cleanliness of the room was lacking. there were spills of liquid on the bath counter. Some nastiness on the napkin holder. Plus a lot of dust to the point my family kept sneezing. On a side note, the front doors are not ada accessible! Plus, the coffee maker was broken, and dirty. The outlets in the bath didnt work. The water in the shower was cool and the handles were dirty along with the walls. The cabinet door is broken. The microwave sounds like it needs repair, and keys to the door randomly stop working.. but they will keep giving you new ones lol. However, the town is charming. the staff can be helpful. The arrangement of the room was not convenient. Vanity light shined directly in the eyes of anyone lying in bed. The breakfast buffet room was too small. The food was OK. Staff was very pleasant. The stay wasn't horrible but I don't feel it was worth the money I spent.

We had a nice stay at this hotel overall. The room was larger than expected and the breakfasts were great. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The only complaint I have is that the wifi kept going out and the computer they have in the lobby for printing needs some upgrades. Nice place, clean, help was good. My only complaint (if there were any) would be that the sink was really slow to drain and outlets in the room were not very accessible. Other than that it's a nice, clean place to stay within close proximity to OSU, restaurants and shopping.

Between the Super 8 and Days Inn the Best Western is the clear winner (looked at rooms at the other 2). It is still not what you might expect from a Best Western in another city however. My daughter and I were very comfortable. The room was large and very clean. I was concerned that it would be noisy as we had a room right next to the lobby but it was quiet. The staff was very pleasant. We did not try the free breakfast.

The only negatives were that when I did yoga on the floor, I picked up several long hairs (not mine) and when my son went running someone threw an egg at him.
