The hotel is wonderful and the room was excellent. Very clean, great view of the river clyde, and there is an iMac in every room, which serves as the tv as well. Room service was good, but the food for room service wasn't anything special. The food in the restaurant Pizarro is more on the expensive side, but the risotto was great. The hotel was wonderful and very comfortable. The towels were very fluffy and large, and the shower pressure was great. It was really helpful to have access to the internet. I had trouble reading the map on the website, as it was too small to decipher the words, and too blurry when made larger. My other frustration was that it was advertised as offering shuttle service to the airport, and that seems to not be available at all times. Twice we overslept for breakfast and both times staff in the lounge/bar were more than happy to accommodate us with toast, eggs, coffee, juice. This hotel offers free Internet which is a big plus to me. The room service meal was just excellent. And a wonderful shower. However, the sheets on the bed had been washed with 'perfumed' soap that was so strong that I had to sleep on top of the bed and not between the sheets. The mattress was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. It was […] puckered / pillowed (not the soft top kind) so dramatically that I could not find a position of any comfort. In the end, I took the duvet, folded it in half, slept on top of that so I had some padding and put the bedspread on top of me. I am not a complainer and sleep in 200+ hotel rooms a year. The hotel reception is located in the entrance to a hospital with an open view of a hospital corridor and so that area has the hospital smell. There were patients wandering around the ground floor in hospital gowns trailing transfusion trolleys. When I went the pool wasnt open due to a fire. The people though were really great and tried their best.

Booked through Hotels.co for the gym and pool facility. Ended up using neither as the in room entertainment of an Apple Mac occupied me all night! Great place designed for the business/conference trade but would make good stopover for airport. I will get there sooner next time and take advantage of the facilities! all in all very good!

A collegue and I were working nearby for a week, checked in and went upstairs. The two double rooms we had booked were 2 single beds pushed together, that meant there was a step in the middle of the bed, annoying at best. Went to reception and we told, "we dont normally change your rooms for this!!". We thought having a bad nights sleep was usually […] enough of a good reason so persisted, and both got moved. My second room, the TV didnt work at all and couldnt be fixed so onto room 3 for me. 3 rooms in 24 hours. 3rd room was fine.. stayed in that one. The night porter was fantastic, we had to work all night 1 night and even at 5:30am, he was still popping his head around into the restaurant where we were working and saying "more coffee fellas". He even printed us a map to get to the leisure park for some R&R 1 evening. Heather was great, and the indian that she recommended was great aswell, went there 2 nights in the end.. Overall, good hotel. Thoroughly cleaned rooms every day and fast free broadband for those, like us, having to work via the web on occasions. Will definately go back. Read more

I have stayed here before and found it really disappointing this time. The room was freezing and as we had been travelling all day i had to get straight into bed - the air conditioning does not seem to wrok and must be on a timer. The beds need an upgrade- the mattress was afwul and there was only one pillow each plus one spare in the cupboard so we […] had to use cushions from the sofa.. The rooms are as beautiful as the hotel but although everything is in quite good condition it has been the same for years. To add insult to injury - after not sleeping all night - our door was knocked on 3 separate occasions before 9am. After the second time i checked and there were 2 maids at the end of the corrider but when i asked if it was them - they could not speak any English. We complained at the desk ( I have NEVER complained in a hotel in my life!) and the receptionist was very apologetic and did say that the cleaning staff were not supposed to be on our floor or checking rooms until 10am but it just isnt good enough for this standard of hotel which we used to think was a luxurious break. The staff were very friendly and accommodating; we had room service after 11.00pm and were impressed with the quality and choice of food available. All Staff trained in customer service, room very clean stayed for 3 nights, breakfast great selection. Accomodates coeliacs no problem , gluten free bread on menu for sandwiches, all meals clearly marked for coeliacs and desserts. Ate in the restaurant excellent food, great chef,again great staff. We just needed one night's stay before our flight back home. I thought it would be a bit closer to the airport but the shuttle that was provided was great. On Sundays, they don't have shuttle service anymore but the night front desk man, Glen stayed past his shift to be able to drive us to the aiport at 7 am. That was terrific.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were welcoming and very accomodating. The rooms were spacious, clean and we enjoyed having the imac in the room. The spa facilities were good - hot and clean, however, the spa did not have a luxurious feel to it and could do with a facelift. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Spoilt by the weather! Hottest day in England was cold and wet in Clydebank! Went to Scotland for the unveiling of the 'Lancastrian Memorial' in the grounds. Staff were wonderful, couldn't do enough for you, food was wonderful, wish I had stayed longer. Looking forward to visiting again when the sun is shining:)

I stayed here on business and will be doing so again in the future. It is in Clydebank, so not really one for the tourists, but a lot of the guests were visiting the hospital next door. The reception staff are great, but because many of the guests seem to be very old and frail, they need to go over everything multiple times. A second person on reception […] might help the situation considerably. The swimming pool is lovely, the food is excellent (although no porridge for breakfast) and it is wonderful value for money, although due to its location this isn't somewhere I would go to for a holiday.
