I always like staying with Baymont, but their beds are hard on my back. Within a couple of hours, I was unable to find any comfortable position. We stayed two nights at the Joplin Baymont because it was close to where my brother lives. Both nights, one night at 4:00 am and the other at 5:30 am, the TV came on by itself. There was no picture, just hideously loud audio. I don't know if there was a wake-up timer set, but the sleep timer didn't work. That wouldn't keep me from staying with Baymont again, but I would recommending fixing the tv and providing remotes that actually work.

I had a family event in Carthage and needed an inexpensive night's stay. This hotel was perfect. Its only a couple minutes from the center of town, and... there is food and gas right nearby. The room was clean and quite a bit larger than I had expected. Upgraded flat screen TV with good programming was appreciated. Only thing we didn't understand is that the hotel which is huge, and was nearly empty on a Sunday night, yet the hotel staff chose to put two groups of teenage girls, one group right across the hall and the other right next to us...really? You would think they would know to put teenagers in an area where they can still be teenagers yet not disturb guests […] who actually are there to sleep. The hot breakfast items were pretty bad too. There must have been a leak as fans were going in hallways and there was a mildew smell on check-in but improved by next day. Would be nice if there was a sauna. Staff was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast.

My husband I recently stayed at the "Precious Moments" Best Western and we both agreed it was a very nice hotel for the money. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was very good. I appreciated the lighting in the bathroom which provided great lighting for getting ready in the morning. Our only complaint was that […] the bed was a little stiff and the comforter was very, very thin which made it feel like it was almost a sheet instead of a blanket. The room was nice sized and in decent shape. The only complaints I had were the Whirlpool was smaller than I expected and it didn't have a stopper when we first got to the room. We had to call down for one. We also found hair on and in the whirlpool and the room seemed a bit pricey for it's location to me as well.

Good discount on this motel because the motel is going through renovation. Day sleepers beware! Otherwise, very nice place to stay. Nice facilities which are well maintained. I don't know why they are renovating... the place is immaculate!

Myself and a girl I work with drove from ne wisconsin to help with the Joplin disaster relief...when we arrived for our stay they were wonderful delightful. All the staff was great. Our maid wrote a little letter to us saying "Thank you and God Bless"...they even allowed us to come back after check out to shower after volunteering that date and hitting […] the road for the trip back. The continental breakfast was plentiful and the pool well kept and clean. The lobby is beautiful and walking distance away is a nice buffett with a bar. :) Read more

Stayaed at this property for one night during our stint volunteering with United Way in Joplin. Newer, clean hotel with vast lobby area, guest laundry, internet access. Big rooms with refrigerator. Lobby staff was efficient but not very friendly. styrofoam breakfast on 2nd floor.

Arrived in Carthage less than a week after tornado struck neighboring Joplin. Hotel filled with displaced people, contractors and FEMA personnel. Indoor pool was a haven for the many kids. Dispite the incredible strain, everybody smiled and offered excellent service. Room and bath clean. Breakfast "styrofoam style", yet satisfactory.

Part of our hallway was closed off for remodeling going on during our one night stay. Our room was clean and quiet. The front desk staff were helpful with maps to church and places to eat. The breakfast had fresh fruit, boiled eggs, etc. The location was convenient to the Precious Moments Chapel and museum.
